“Natalia, our server, was incredible. She was able to handle our hectic table of 7 with ease. The food was to die for! Some tables are down a set of stairs so make sure to request upstairs if you’re not able to manage that arrangement. Vibes were pristine, 10/10 would recommend. Amazing date spot or family night out, friends in town or just a cheeky night on the town. Prices are worth it!“

“We visited this amazing establishment last night and ordered the filet and the Manhattan strip for our entrées with a side of the mushrooms, and it was possibly one of the best steaks we had had. Our server and Jesse was wonderful, and when he wasn’t available home, there was another manager who came and brought items out, so there was no delay in service while he was attending another customer and socialized at the table. We dined outside on the patio underneath the heat lamp and lights. The Barn was the perfect atmosphere for our relaxing evening together. We were very pleased with all that we ordered as well as the service. We would highly recommend the Barn restaurant to others.“

The sides were just as good, and everything tasted fresh. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing. “Absolutely amazing!!!! The very best kosher restaurant I’ve ever been to! Kosher fine dining at its finest! My husband and I agree it was the best meal we’ve ever had. He had the surprise steak which was phenomenal! I had the short ribs which were perfection! We enjoyed soups, appetizers, sushi, the works. Just when we thought we were full to the brim and could not squeeze one more but in, I couldn’t resist the dessert menu. Somehow we practically managed to lick the plate of peanut butter mousse clean! It was the most wonderful evening! The ambience is wonderful! The service is superior to any other place I’ve been to. I can’t recommend this place enough!“

“In a town known for great steak restaurants, EJs, is my favorite. Their steaks and seafood are outstanding, their sides and desserts wonderful, and their wine list never disappoints. Throw in a cozy atmosphere with wood paneling and the smell of the fireplace. The best part is the service. From the moment you arrive until you get back in your vehicle their service is unmatched with a staff of professionals who have been there for years. I highly recommend EJs and look forward to our next visit!“

“I can't believe we have such a great steakhouse in Highland Park now. We were there as a group of 6 that ordered steaks, burgers and veggie sides and the chef nailed it all. The skirt steak was incredible. Probably the best I had. My friends were very happy with their filets. The potato was creamy and super tasty as well, along with the asparagus. The prices are downtown prices and I think it was worth it. I would definitely go back soon“

“I ate here with my 13 year old daughter 4/11/2026 while attending an event. We loved it. Portions were big and I felt bad that we weren’t able to finish all our food. They had the best coconut cream pie I’ve ever had. Service was just as amazing as the food. Be prepared to spend money it’s worth it though.“

“I can't say enough about my whole experience with the staff, accommodations and food!! I must have called 6 times changing the number of people and requesting a round table and they were so patient and accommodating. I'm sorry I don't remember the names I spoke with on the phone but they were wonderful. Our server Miguel was great, we wanted for nothing and the room we were in was outstanding. We all had an excellent time I could not have been happier!!“

“It's so nice to be out at a restaurant! This location is poppen so be prepared to wait a lil bit. We always sit at the bar and Angela was busy! She was friendly and never stopped moving! Our shrimp was salty to me but my husband at it all.“
