“Haven't been there in years. Decided to go there this evening for St. Patrick's Day. All I can say is that there was no room for disappointment. The food was great and their staff was great as well. Not one ounce of disappointment. I've heard of their great reviews and I have to agree with every one of them. We will certainly be going back. BTW, the atmosphere was great as well!“

“We visited Carlson's and it was great. We fed four adults and 1 child for $43. The root beer was refreshing, the tenderloins were hot and crispy, the BBQ pork was flavorful, and the Chicago Dogs were good but slightly bland. Service was great and the food came quickly. Definitely recommend“

“Overall a good experience. Clean restrooms, right off the interstate, and fast service(and they were busy!). The prices are more than I want to pay. I would definitely pick McDonald's food and prices over Culver's. I'd be glad to go to DQ over Culvers because the food is so much better. Probably won't be back for a while, and I won't stop in if I can wait until the next McDonald's, but it's about the only fast food option right off the interstate. All said, the service was wonderful. The food could be better for the money.“

“Food is very good and price is very fair. Service is very sub par. Waitresses run around like chickens with there head cutoff. I did a reorder on fish and after 45 minutes the waitress said she was sorry but somebody else took my order. Paid my check and left. Don’t know if I will ever come back.“

“Truly AWESOME catfish! It was perfectly fried, nicely seasoned, moist, and the breading (crust?) was top notch. I must say that, for me, this is the best catfish I have had in Northwest Indiana. They are also serving a very good coleslaw. I don't easily find good coleslaw and this ranks way up on my list of sources. This was my first visit and will definitely return.“

“I go here once in a while when I want a good ribeye steak and they always do it right. The baked sweet potato is my go to side and I always love the fried mushrooms for starter. If you ever get a chance to try the blueberry bread pudding for desert go for it it's phenomenal!“

The Memo's family is very welcoming to their guest and their employees. I'm very happy I am able to be a part of the Memo's team. “I want to give a shout out to Alicia S. At this location. 8:30 on a Friday night I pulled through after driving 12 hours. Just wanted a hot meal before I checked into a hotel to crash. Food took a good 20 min. Opened it up at the hotel and while the order on the receipt was correct the food was Not! A completely different meal in which 1/2 I couldn’t eat. I called and spoke with Alicia, she did her best to give me a solution and I was so tired I didn’t want to leave the hotel and I hung up. She called me back 5 min later and offered certificates for a meal and a shake for any location and even offered to meet me at 7am as I was leaving early to drive all day again. She was there as promised and apologized again. I also apologized for hanging up on her 😉 She went above and beyond and I feel should be recognized for it. Way to go Alicia! Thank you! 👏🏻🤗“

“1st time here. Food was basic but decent. I had the perch, which was heavily breaded kinda like fried chicken. I prefer my perch pan fried, not heavily breaded. It came with fries and coleslaw, the coleslaw was good. My husband got the pork chop and said it was good, a little dry, but not bad. It came with green beans and mashed potatoes. The best thing I had was the lemon cake, it reminded me of a zinger and I was very pleased with it. Our server was great. She was kind, helpful with the menu, and overall attentive.“

“Been eating here for years and recommending them for years if you want the best burger in Chesteron/Porter area. Some other favorites are the bacon wrapped poppers, steak or chicken flatbread, soups, and the only place I know that still has homemade pub chips. Just had my first ever minor issue with a cook on burgers and the owner addressed it and made it right. I am looking forward to their new bi-weekly specials to try some new items. “By far the best Italian beef in town*** The staff is always friendly and the riff raff is kept to a minimum. Overall it's a great place to munch and grab some beers. They have live bands on the weekends if you're looking for live entertainment. I highly recommend trying if you haven't.“
