McDonald's in Elkhart

“The food was, well, McDonalds. We visited this location to pay tribute to my Wife's Grandfather who had just passed away. At 98, he used to go to this McDonald's several times per week, sometimes several times per day. The staff all knew him and came to chat with us and offer their condolences. A few of them came and shared their experiences with him. It meant a lot to see the personal touch some of them demonstrated.“

“I love this McDonald's! A lot of foreign people taking your orders, I have not had near the problems with their people as I've had with other places who use a lot of foreign people. They seem to train the people to really listen and get accurate orders for their customers. The only problem that I see is if you need to turn left out of their drive then it's difficult because there is no light there with the adjacent road and it's really difficult to turn left there.“

“It's just another McDonald's. nothing extraordinary. their kiosks would not spit out receipts though.

Parking: parking is easy but the entrance to the building can be somewhat difficult to see. I tried going through their play area by mistake thinking it was the main door.

Kid-friendliness: It has a play area and would be quite friendly to smaller children.

Wheelchair accessibility: doors are made for easy access four wheelchair and walker access The doors would need to be held open.“

“To be fair, I only ever come in for breakfast anymore because this location is so inconsistent at night, but the morning crew is always so patient, kind, and speedy. They never get my order wrong in the morning and the breakfast is always hot and fresh!“

“This particular McDonald's has really stepped up from what they were about 6 months ago. Service was a little slow, but I blame that on peak hour, lunch time. Food was hot, delicious and brought to my table with a smile and a few kind words. To the management and crew, "Great work!"?“
