“Came in and the place was completely empty, sign said "seat yourselves" it felt kind of awkward but someone came out to greet us a few seconds later. Staff was super friendly and nice! I brought my grandmother and she wanted to split her meal with someone who wasn't able to come to the restaurant in person, so they brought out half of her meal and waited until we were almost done with the other half freshly made and packaged! Lake perch was great! Not like other restaurants that try to serve ocean perch as lake perch. The Nashville hot chicken strips were a little disappointing they didn't have any heat to them, but the chicken was cooked perfectly and the breading was really good so it made up for it! Mac n cheese was delicious, I was even impressed with the fries! None of them were soggy or over salted! I'm sad I couldn't have tried them sooner!“

“I called to ask about having a birthday party on short notice for my son’s 30th and during the holiday weekend and received a call from the owner letting me know it wouldn’t be a problem at all! I could bring my own food and decorate and he would have a DJ for the night. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating for anything we needed! Service was exceptional at the bar! My family and friends complimented the establishment as soon as they walked in the doors. We look forward to future gatherings or parties here for sure! It was a wonderful evening had by all!“

“Twelve Islands was my favorite family restaurant in Crown Point… Even though I don’t live there anymore when I head that way I like to stop in… My daughters loved going there and loved the lemon rice soup…I occasionally got the chicken livers and the calves liver with onions and bacon…. LOL 😂 Oh and the Chefs salad was always great, Greek style…. It’s always good there… I would definitely recommend it…! 5 STARS ✨“

“The food was great! I have to eat gluten free and it's still not as common as you'd think for restaurants to carry GF buns, but this place did! And it didn't crumble to pieces like most of them do lol. Plus, the service was fantastic. Joel was so attentive and genuine and made sure we had everything we needed. A great experience from start to finish!“

“Talk about a restaurant that gives you that feeds you warm and cozy food but make you feel so warm and cozy from the service as well...ANGIES IS IT!!! This is a MUST GO TO PLACE!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE there is absolutely nothing on the menu that I haven't tried that just isn't DELICIOUS!!! From the time you walk in until the time you leave this is a resturant that gets that A++++ rating!!! Go check it out for yourself!!! P.S. The chicken n waffles are AMAZING!!!“

“I went in earlier for a little late breakfast. I definitely was not disappointed. I got a simple breakfast with some extra eggs and fries to go. Only thing that stood out to me was the building itself looked dirty, the windows needed cleaning, the parking lot was covered in trash and just debris from the street flying all around the floors and in the grass. I would probably come back to Denny's at some point, they had some cool new breakfast items that I still want to try.

Parking: Tons of parking.

Kid-friendliness: It's a Denny's. You can always come in and feed the whole family for a decent price.“

“well I'm really torn on if I should recommend or not... most of the time the food is fine but when it comes to fundraisers they are really really horrid. let's put a box out and not put anything on the box so the majority of the people have no idea about tossing their receipts in there for a cause... im pretty sure they make enough money where they can put something on the boxes for the customers... if they are so scared about losing money don't even bother... yesterday I was there around 4 and not one person threw a receipt in the box.. I was the first.... second fundraiser and second time unless you already knew, had no idea about it.. .“

“It is definately a hidden gem in east chicago. Food was prepared to perfection. Savory and portions were good. Service was amazing and the decor was very relaxing. Had a great experience. Highly recommend

“My family and I ate lunch here today and it was great! I called ahead to ask about allergen information and they were so kind to us. When we got there our waiter double checked for us before placing our order which I really do appreciate. My son was so happy eating his chicken nuggets and watching Cars on the big screen! We will be back! ❤️“

“Visiting the area and family wanted us to try their brews as one of their favorites. Tried a flight of 10 beers and favs were Tangerine Trackstar, Toxic Words, Lucifer in a haze, Immoveable King, Nuban overlord and the top one Here comes the reaper. We also had the Pretzel and queso for snacks. They were very good and fast. They also had ice tea which is not always available at breweries. I will say the art work gave me pause and some of the names being a Christian but I don't know the background to comment.“

“There’s something about the way the young lady takes my order that keeps me coming back for more. She’s soo nice, my order is always correct and fresh, and when I come to pick up she always greats me with a smile. She provided TOP TIER customer service everytime ?“

“My friends and I ate breakfast there the other day. They had remodeled the place. It was brighter& cheery. The only thing I would recommend is bring in some round tables for groups of 6. That makes it Easier for talking & socializing while you eat. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our meals came quick & hot. The store area has many nice things but set up too crowded to actually look well to the point you might miss something you would actually buy. I would actually redo the set up of - how you display the products in the store area to be less congested. It’s just too overwhelming to see it all well in its current set up.“

“Disappointing..the chili/koney sauce was very salty to the point it was nesrly inedible. ..I think since it was late afternoon, it simmered to the point where it became concentrated due to evaporation and it needed some liquid to even out the extreme salt content... the dogs were good, the chili cheeseburger was almost impossible to eat..so messy. Fries were.probably the highlight of my visit the lady behind the counter was excellent though 👍👍 Great service I probably would try them again though....possibly the saltiness was an anomaly“

“We ordered the cod dinner on 1/29 and it was delicious. However, when we sat down in a booth we noticed an elderly lady struggling to walk up the icy sidewalk from the parking lot. When the young man brought our food we told him about it and suggested someone spread salt on the area. He was nice and thanked us for mentioning it. However, in the 45 minutes we sat there no one followed through and actually salted the sidewalk. Not good, Culvers.“

“We went on a Friday late afternoon, I had the prime rib. It was not super tender but very very tasty. 2 others at our table had lake perch and said it was excellent. Soup and salad bar were very good, and prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be going back.“

“First time golfing White Hawk and would definitely return. The fairways, greens, and tee boxes are well kept. There were a few greens and fringes that were tore up on Grey that looks like from the grounds crew, but other than that it was a beautiful course.“

They stay busy af all the time so these 1 star ratings are clearly from people who had 1 bad experience. My boyfriend & I are here at least once every couple of months & we’ve only ever had to be refunded once & management gave us a cash refund & offered us something different for free… no questions asked.“
