“It was our first time visiting the Viking Chili Bowl in Valpo. We called ahead for a table since we were a party of 6. Glad we did. Even though the place was packed, we had excellent, friendly service. I was impressed that our food arrived as soon as it did. The food was good. My husband absolutely loved the ham. Portions are big. My granddaughter barely got through a half on one of her pancakes. I had the fish sandwich with Onion rings. Sandwich was standard. I really enjoyed the rings. My husband and I ordered the chili to go for dinner. I have to say, I was disappointed. The only negative. The chili looked very processed. Like it came straight from a can. It was an unappealing brown color and it didn't taste good. Guess I had a sort of expectation from the restaurant's name. Again, everything else was pleasant and enjoyable outside of the Chili. We look forward to returning some time.“

“I enjoy duffys place to catch up with friends. They have reasonably prices on food and drinks. I look for their specials and special music the most.
Parking: They have a decent amount of parking in front and back. When they are really busy it can be hard to find parking“
“Stopped by when passing through from Valpo. Friendly place with ice cold beer, good food, and a friendly feel to it. Bartender and cook were hot and fun to talk to, so that's always a plus. Enjoy America and eat local...you'll like it.“

“Honestly, I was thrilled with delicious food and terrific service! We had dinner for 2, turkey and dressing and the fish dinner. A cup of chili with fixings first. I wish I'd taken a picture. We had a wonderful Monday evening dinner out and still were in and out in 45 minutes.“

“We hadn’t been to Applebees in a while. We had a wonderful waitress, Kristi. She was very polite and friendly. She made helpful suggestions and kept stopping by the table to make sure we had everything we needed. I got the blackened salmon and it was amazing! Thank you, Kristi, for caring about your customers. We will definitely come back again!“
