“Just finished an early dinner as my first experience with Cajun Crab House. It was outstanding! I had 6 raw oysters along with the Deep Fried Catfish and my son had a Crab Cake appetizer and Shrimp linguine. Some of the best seafood I’ve had in a while. Even better than the food was the service. I have problems with spicy food due to chemo and Ciara, our server, went out of her way to check the spice level of the food I had ordered. Several trips to and from the kitchen and I picked the Catfish…..perfect choice. I have no problem with anything. Was one of the better experiences I’ve had”

“Delicious drinks, I had a double expresso caramel iced coffee. Im not too fancy but there were lots of options! We also played with the cats. They were so cute, playful and sweet. The little gift shop was adorable too. The workers were so knowledgeable and friendly. The partnership happening to make this a great experience is amazing, for us and the cats. “My friends and I ate breakfast there the other day. They had remodeled the place. It was brighter& cheery. The only thing I would recommend is bring in some round tables for groups of 6. That makes it Easier for talking & socializing while you eat. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our meals came quick & hot. The store area has many nice things but set up too crowded to actually look well to the point you might miss something you would actually buy. I would actually redo the set up of - how you display the products in the store area to be less congested. It’s just too overwhelming to see it all well in its current set up.”

“I randomly chose this restaurant as a meet up spot for friends who enjoy Thai food. Found just a spot off of Route 30 in Merrillville, I was so happy with the experience. Outside it looks like it was once a different restaurant but inside transports you into an absolutely lovely dining room. I had my go to Tofu pad Thai. I had been warned that their spice level may be higher than the average American version of Thai. No problem for me. It was delicious. Too many places make this dish overly sweet and this had that great balance of sweet, salty and sour. Our table also enjoyed various fried rice dishes, potstickers and a panang curry. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was excellent. Our waiter did a great job making sure wedding had time to order. It is a small restaurant with a small staff but our food timing and service were spot on. I definitely would go back and I found a new “happy place.””

“I go every Wednesday for the 1 pound shrimp and I have to say they are the best tasting shrimp I've had this far. The size of the shrimp are huge with a nice flaky batter that gives a flavorful taste. I have my family going there as well for great tasting seafood!!!”

It was not coming out. We sat on the toilet for about 20 minutes until it stopped hurting so badly and finally smoothed out.”

“My first time here at La Carreta. I’m going to say that the quality of the food is good. I order a Taco loco Combo. The flavor of the Carne Asada was delicious and the Chorizo as well. The Carnitas need more flavor. The corn tortillas were amazing you can taste that are made in the tortillería no from package. On the rice flavor is good but on the refried Beans would be better if were refried with Lard not with Oil. But other that Food is really good and service.”

“An intimate setting for size. I will say their menu is extensive. You could bring a diverse group here and most would find something they wanted to eat. The pizza I had was ok, I have a feeling it would have been better on a larger sized crust. The fettuccine was good enough I suppose but the Alfredo sauce was sweet which wasn't quite my thing. If I could have done it over again I would have ordered something different. The staff was wonderful which I feel like was really the best part of the experience. If you are looking for a location to eat and don't want to get tied into a set menu this place could help you out in a pinch.

Very disappointed in this restaurant strictly because of their guaranteed gratuity for the waiter waitress no matter how poor they are, and I had a great waitress.”

From the hostess to the waitress, everyone was friendly. We ordered steak and potato, and both were absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to our liking, and the baked potato was big and good. What caught our eye was the old Mason Jars used for beverages, large and classic. It was definitely an enjoyable experience.”

I was told that they have been in business 42 years! WOW, and I can see why. They are very friendly and treat you well. The food is fantastic and the locals are very laid back and make you feel welcome as well. If I was local to the area, this bar would be my base! A throwback feel to the better times, in my opinion. 5 ✨'s! I hope to get a chance to visit again.”

“Had the two tiered cake for a birthday party, which was delicious. However, because of the cellophane wrapping collapsing on itself, the frosting was irreparably ruined. it would be wise for the company to invest in boxes to be used to transport such an expensive cake for its customers. No matter the temperature, cellophane wrapping will make contact with icing and look sloppy.”

“I cant say that ive ever had a bad experience with C&J, they are one of the two Chinese Restaurants in the area that i frequent the most... I believe ive been C&J's longest running customer since it first opened back in 2009 or 2010 if im not mistaken, they were so good at service their delivery guys use to recognize me at different addresses lol... I can say that everything from their General Tso Chicken, to the Orange Chicken,
to the Bourbon Chicken, to the Kung Pao Chicken, to the Egg Foo Yung, to the Steamed Dumplings and Pot Stickers ARE ALL EXCEPTIONAL AND WELL PREPARED. I hope that they can continue to give us the same quality of service for years to come without having to price gouge like other restaurants... Theres nothing but love from me for C&J's ?”

“Catfish dinner was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Still piping hot when I got home. Fries were delicious. A real side of coleslaw, not just a tiny pill cup. My dinner was packaged with care. Even gave me hand wipes, packaged plastic ware and REAL napkins, not flimsy toilet paper squares. First time customers get a free drink. I will definitely return. “I'm originally from Northwest Indiana we came up on a visit so I've been wanting a gyro a very badly since we don't have them in Kentucky! I ordered a gyro player for myself and Rib tip platter for my husband and my husband was completely impressed as he is from Kentucky and he says it was the best rib tips he's had. Gyro was really good just wish I had more feta cheese to it a little bit more spice within the meat but I was very pleased to have a gyro”
