“The singer on Friday night was great! He played top country radio hits, but he seemed to know everything. The host/bartender was a fun guy who gave me a candy bar for a treat as I was low sugar 😆 and not drinking! Fun time tucked away in a random hotel bar near Notre Dame the place was jamming so apparently everybody knows about it“

“My wife and I had dinner there to celebrate our 63rd anniversary. She had the steak and shrimp while I had the shrimp duo (grilled and fried shrimp). The only minor complaints were the croutons on the salad were very salty and the shrimp (all of them) were slightly overcooked. (Not unusual in the midwest) Although we told her not to, the manager took them off the bill. Our server, Lorenzo, was very attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a very good evening. The Chandon champagne splits were VERY reasonable.“

“Visiting South Bend and this place was across the street from my hotel so I decided to try it. While standing there looking at the menu and trying to two decide what to get another customer told me I should try the ribs. So I ordered the half rack of baby back ribs and they were absolutely amazing! The sauce was delicious and the meat was just falling off the bone. They came with fries coleslaw and French bread as well and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend. I would like to go back and try some other menu items.“

“Honestly great food. BEST PANCAKES IN SOUTH BEND - Michiana! Hard-working salt of the Earth people in a very understated diner-type breakfast restaurant. Please accept the parking lot that needs some updates and the diner itself which sits with its real history and enjoy phenomenal food and very fair and reasonable prices.“

“Course is nice and reasonably priced. Really have no complaints other than you have to pay at time of booking which is annoying if someone in your group cancels. Also it's somehow the hardest place in the area to get a tee time even though it's not the nicest. I think they have a ton of old guys as members that just hog the tee sheet.“

“Googled recommended this place when we were looking for somewhere new to try... but I will say we were not disappointed! The service was prompt and friendly, with nice recommendations toward the menu. The food was great! I had AYCE fish (hake) and it was delicious! The breading was nice and light, so you could actually taste the fish. My hubs had fried chicken and he enjoyed that as well! The best part was the cheese and crackers they brought out with our soup... well definitely come back!“
“Fantastic food!! I was beyond impressed.!! The cheeseburgers were delicious and so were the chicken tenders.! YUM!! Service overall was great, our order came out quickly! Food quality is very good, not what you would expect at a Zoo. The Lodge building itself was well kept and clean.“

“I absolutely enjoyed being there with my kids today! We had state testing for my homeschooler & we have been dealing with a lot as a family & to be welcomed by such kind people & our awesome server Amanda was a fantastic experience!!!! Just melted our stress away for a bit!!! One of my big girls is in behavioural health & we had been feeling so rough! We will be stopping back in in the daytime when my kids & I are back in South Bend! The turkey melt & the chicken bacon sandwich are fab!!!!! Great place to go! If you have kids with you definitely go during the day!!!! My baby son ate his first fries & ranch there!!!!“
