We went to celebrate our 3rd anniversary and the experience was well worth it. We elected to do the “Let us cook for you” option which includes 6 savory courses and a dessert course.

The food was exquisite. The care and attention to detail present for each dish was apparent. The flavors of each dish were paired well with each other, and no one flavor overwhelmed any of the other flavors present. Each dish was a new and exciting experience different from the last, and left us excited for the next course!

At the end of the meal the staff all signed a menu with Happy 3rd Anniversary at the top. It was a great personal touch that really reinforced just how special they made the evening for us. We will definitely consider them for celebrating our special occasions!“

“My wife and I had dinner there to celebrate our 63rd anniversary. She had the steak and shrimp while I had the shrimp duo (grilled and fried shrimp). The only minor complaints were the croutons on the salad were very salty and the shrimp (all of them) were slightly overcooked. (Not unusual in the midwest) Although we told her not to, the manager took them off the bill. Our server, Lorenzo, was very attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a very good evening. The Chandon champagne splits were VERY reasonable.“

“I would give them 5 stars but they don't have a driving range. You must tee off crossing the St. Joseph river on 4 holes and the course is beautiful. It is for accurate golfers or those with plenty of extra golf balls for sure. One of my favorite courses in a 6 county area.“

“Googled recommended this place when we were looking for somewhere new to try... but I will say we were not disappointed! The service was prompt and friendly, with nice recommendations toward the menu. The food was great! I had AYCE fish (hake) and it was delicious! The breading was nice and light, so you could actually taste the fish. My hubs had fried chicken and he enjoyed that as well! The best part was the cheese and crackers they brought out with our soup... well definitely come back!“

We had state testing for my homeschooler & we have been dealing with a lot as a family & to be welcomed by such kind people & our awesome server Amanda was a fantastic experience!!!! We will be stopping back in in the daytime when my kids & I are back in South Bend! The turkey melt & the chicken bacon sandwich are fab!!!!! Great place to go! “Visiting South Bend and this place was across the street from my hotel so I decided to try it. While standing there looking at the menu and trying to two decide what to get another customer told me I should try the ribs. So I ordered the half rack of baby back ribs and they were absolutely amazing! The sauce was delicious and the meat was just falling off the bone. They came with fries coleslaw and French bread as well and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend. I would like to go back and try some other menu items.“

“Love the Bucket!!! BUT, did have an unpleasant experience for the first time in our many visits. 11:00 in the morning it took multiple conversations with staff to get the outdoor music turned down. Other customers also felt the music for that time of day was inappropriate. We are music enthusiasts, But sometimes it’s pleasant to enjoy a meal and cocktail with audible conversation. We will continue to frequent The Bucket and also request music at a reasonable decibel so we can converse comfortably. Thanks“

“I do not understand why they wear exam gloves. They touch everything in the restruant with the same pair on. They handle money, clean handle foor that is in wrapers. My last experience at this location. There was a person running the register. 3 employees standing and visiting behinder her. The customers in front of me took quite a while to order. 2 to 3 more customers came in. After I finally place ld my order and was waiting on it. One of the 3 finally came up to another register to help. I know it is difficult to find young good help. Maybe more supervision would help. My food was only warm. There was almost not Mustard or ketchup on the sandwich. Very dissapointing.“
