“well I'm really torn on if I should recommend or not... most of the time the food is fine but when it comes to fundraisers they are really really horrid. let's put a box out and not put anything on the box so the majority of the people have no idea about tossing their receipts in there for a cause... im pretty sure they make enough money where they can put something on the boxes for the customers... if they are so scared about losing money don't even bother... yesterday I was there around 4 and not one person threw a receipt in the box.. I was the first.... second fundraiser and second time unless you already knew, had no idea about it.. .“

“Twelve Islands was my favorite family restaurant in Crown Point… Even though I don’t live there anymore when I head that way I like to stop in… My daughters loved going there and loved the lemon rice soup…I occasionally got the chicken livers and the calves liver with onions and bacon…. LOL 😂 Oh and the Chefs salad was always great, Greek style…. It’s always good there… I would definitely recommend it…! 5 STARS ✨“

“My first time I had ever been to Lighthouse and it was so worth it.the bartender ( Lauren ) not only made fantastic drinks but she also knew the menu and was able to guide me on what to get. The service from Lauren was amazing and I will definitely be coming back.“

“The food was great! I have to eat gluten free and it's still not as common as you'd think for restaurants to carry GF buns, but this place did! And it didn't crumble to pieces like most of them do lol. Plus, the service was fantastic. Joel was so attentive and genuine and made sure we had everything we needed. A great experience from start to finish!“

“My family and I ate lunch here today and it was great! I called ahead to ask about allergen information and they were so kind to us. When we got there our waiter double checked for us before placing our order which I really do appreciate. My son was so happy eating his chicken nuggets and watching Cars on the big screen! “Disappointing..the chili/koney sauce was very salty to the point it was nesrly inedible. ..I think since it was late afternoon, it simmered to the point where it became concentrated due to evaporation and it needed some liquid to even out the extreme salt content... the dogs were good, the chili cheeseburger was almost impossible to eat..so messy. Fries were.probably the highlight of my visit the lady behind the counter was excellent though 👍👍 Great service I probably would try them again though....possibly the saltiness was an anomaly“

“We ordered the cod dinner on 1/29 and it was delicious. However, when we sat down in a booth we noticed an elderly lady struggling to walk up the icy sidewalk from the parking lot. When the young man brought our food we told him about it and suggested someone spread salt on the area. He was nice and thanked us for mentioning it. However, in the 45 minutes we sat there no one followed through and actually salted the sidewalk. Not good, Culvers.“

“We went on a Friday late afternoon, I had the prime rib. It was not super tender but very very tasty. 2 others at our table had lake perch and said it was excellent. Soup and salad bar were very good, and prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be going back.“

One thing though, people these days don’t train their children to sit down. I wanted to sit at a table to eat but it was really miserable to have people’s children stirring around. I don’t believe it is fair that I have to eat in the parking lot to have peace while I chew my food.“

I wish they had better plant based options. A quinoa, kale bowl? How about at least adding mushrooms to it? With huge variety of plant based proteins available, I am surprised to not see them on the menus of most restaurants.“

“The upstairs bartender, Aaron C. does the work of 2 bartenders. I sat at the bar...he served me my lunch. He was very friendly and fast. The upstairs was loaded with like 50 guests from a baseball team? So he was VERY busy. But that didn't stop him from speed, accuracy and friendliness! Best bartender ! He deserves a raise!“
