“Tous Les Jours is a chain of bakeries in South Korea. Generally, their goods are average quality. The same goes for this stateside incarnation. The coffee is good. The red bean bread is just ok. The setup is self-serve with tongs and trays. Displays take up most of the shop with some tables and chairs in the back. A window into kitchen where the baking is going on.“

“MY GOODNESS! I had the pleasure of trying a peanut butter cookie tonight when Eileen’s came to KU for Rock Chalk Revue. I have never tasted such a perfectly delicious cookie in my life! I could taste the love that was put into making that cookie. I cannot wait to visit the store and try all the cookies!“

“I went to Perkin's with a small group of high school friends from our 1969 graduation year. While the others opted for pie and a drink, I chose a banana nut muffin with butter. I also got coffee. Although I forgot to request it, my muffin was heated and itt was delicious with butter and my coffee. The service was great and friendly. The atmosphere was perfect...nicely spaced tables, good lighting, and no loud music to have to speak over.“

“This was my go to college lunch spot when I was going to KU. The must try in my opinion is the number 16 ham and roasted pineapple. They add pickled onion and jalapeño cream cheese, and it's grilled on their house white sourdough. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything that you order here because it's all made in house. The services always super fast. You order the counter and they bring it straight to you at your table. I always make an effort to stop by when I'm in town since I've moved away.“

“We liked our food. The potato cakes were like my mom makes. Very nostalgic to have yolky eggs with potato cakes. I really liked the different coffee options including that decaf, which was delicious. The waitress was very helpful with her suggestions. I want to go back and try the eggs Benedict, they looked really good too.“

“On a Monday mid-morning, I stopped in for a hot breve latte and a breakfast sandwich. The vibe was relaxing since it wasn't packed, but had the typical coffee shop hum. The coffee was perfectly made and full of rich flavor. (Finally, a place that serves well-roasted espresso, not bitter, burnt beans!) For the locals, they do use Hildebrand diary products, so the flavor/quality of their dairy made drinks is excellent. After gazing at the mouth-watering pastries in the display case, I ordered a breakfast sandwich (see pic). I feel good about saying it was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had (and I've had quite a few over the years)! The egg was light and fluffy, the bacon crisp...all the flavors came together, and the croissant-like bun was delectable. This was my first visit to 1900 on Mass. I'll definitely return, and I highly recommend that you also make this one of your new favorite spots.“

“Cozy little spot to find for a sandwich when takING a quick random trip to Lawrence! Definitely a little gem with amazing cinnamon rolls and the chocolate rice Krispy ball things OMG! My only disappointment is the pesto sandwich I got looked nothing like the picture. Maybe if they stacked 2 or 3 on top with a lot of extra cheese sure, nonetheless it was really really tasty! Bf got the Italian one and it looked just like the picture! Would recommend and will be back for sure if and when I get back to Lawrence!“

“Great little bakery. Cutest little location. A coworker told me about this place. I see why this is her favorite. The counter staff is always friendly. The treats are delicious. They have the ABSOLUTE BEST, knock your socks off, chocolate chip cookies. Crispy on the edges. The right amount of chewy in the middle. Not too much chocolate. Tiny flecks of salt. My mouth is watering writing about them. & they have a sister location on Mass“
“Most likely will come back and edit review after more stops/visits here. First impressions are amazing! Friendly staff, decent coffee (I’ve had a latte and drip), LOTS of outlets for studying/working remotely, and amazing artwork. Will recommend to my Lawrence friends, and it’s location downtown is very convenient. Their pastry options are limited, would like to see a more expanded breakfast menu.“

“Great & easy to work with. Very talented, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Above and beyond customer service. My daughter declared it's the best cake she's ever tasted in her entire life and begs that we use Karen's Confections for all her future birthday cakes, too.“

“Small cakes went above and beyond for me. Due to a misunderstanding on my part, I showed up needing gluten-free cupcakes and they had none. They stopped what they were doing and made me some right away that were ready for pick up in an hour and a half! They could not have been more gracious and helpful, and I might add that the cupcakes they made were absolutely delicious, and beautifully decorated. Five stars for sure! I will recommend this business to everyone I know.“

“Do not eat at munchers, unless you want to be addicted to their pastries, cookies and cakes. WOW! Kinda scared that I found this place. The goodies are as beautiful as they are delicious and this place is open 24 hours a day. That could be really DANGEROUS for your waistline. The counter service is quick & efficient, and the prices are great! Highly recommended.“

“We have had an amazing experience each visit. The kids love it (and there’s simple donuts for the picky ones) and we love trying all the new unique flavors! We haven’t had a bad one yet. Today, I had the iced vanilla bean caramel latte and will be adding that to my regular order. We could not be happier with the quality, atmosphere, and service at Taylor’s!“

“I should have reviewed this place years ago! We go here almost weekly to eat. Everything we’ve ever gotten has been top notch. Notable favorites are the financiers (and their frosting is dyed with fruit juices, not food dye! They’re also gluten free -made from almond flour - if you’re looking for that.), their ham and egg omelette sandwich, their fried chicken sandwich, and the rose cardamom latte. And my son is obsessed with their gateau Breton (a buttery cake with different delicious jams inside - so good!). All of our kids love going here and the employees have always been welcoming and kind. We love grabbing it to go and taking to nearby South Park or eating there and admiring the many squirrel and hot balloon decorations that adorn the inside. You can’t go wrong with anything here!“
“Nothing Bundt Cakes has been my go-to since their opening in Lawrence for a mid-week, sweet pick me up and is a visit I look forward to every Wednesday. Stopped into the store today for my go-to flavor and the sweet gal behind the counter, Reagan, told me about their new holiday flavor of peanut butter and chocolate. Not a huge peanut butter fan but, good golly, this is now my favorite!!Thank you to miss Reagan over there for always being so kind and always going the extra mile to make the customers feel welcomed!“

“We recently used McLain's catering for a shower brunch and were absolutely amazed by how beautiful the food was and how delicious. It made for a stunning table and people couldn't stop eating or thanking us! They were even able to design an unusual cake we had requested and it turned out perfect. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend!!!“

“Got the beef enchiladas, quesabirilla, and shrimp fajita quesadilla carry out. Everything was very good. Some of the best salsa we have had since living in Lawrence. I didn’t get any of the quesabirilla broth but they were still very very good. Looking forward to coming back and trying everything on the menu! Highly recommend!“
