“We had the pleasure of breakfast this morning at the Roost. The staff was wonderful, the food was excellent and we took some delicious whole bean coffee home with us. Definitely worth a stop for a meal or coffee❤️ the benny (eggs Benedict) was out of this world, and the homemade habanero peach jelly was fantastic!!!!“

“We had Taco Zone cater our wedding in Kansas City and what I can say is HIRE THESE PEOPLE! They are so nice, down to earth and hard working. They will go above and beyond for you prior and on your day. I have nothing but wonderful and raving things to say about the staff at Taco Zone. It’s the talk of our friend group and work on how amazing the food was, which is always good to hear since wedding food is known for being average… but they were far from average. If you are thinking of booking them for your next event, take this as a sign to do it! Thank you again, we wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to serve our favorite people but TACO ZONE!“

“We made reservations well in advance for Christmas Eve dinner at The Eldridge. Our service was so terrible and our waitress was so rude, we left after we finally got our incorrect drink order. We sat for an unreasonably long time before we were even greeted. After the waitress was openly hostile to us, we left money on the table for the incorrect drinks and left before we even ordered dinner. We walked 10 steps over to 715 and were greeted warmly and seated immediately at the bar. The service was top notch and the food was wonderful. The atmosphere was lively, fun and bustling. If you want great service, excellent food and great atmosphere, just go next door to 715. They saved our Christmas Eve date night, and we didn’t even have reservations! Thank you 715!!“

But, after dealing with extreme food aversions throughout my pregnancy, then navigating how to be a new mom and business owner, cooking had become non-existent in our household. Hiring Matt might be the best decision I have ever made. Literally from week one, the stress of “what are we going to eat?” was eliminated from our lives. We are actually saving money compared to the constant amount of take-out food we were consuming, and are back to eating nutritious, home cooked food we were used to. Matt is always accommodating to our tastes and nutrition needs. His food is high quality, healthy, and delicious. Matt is also both friendly and professional, and we always feel extremely comfortable with him in our home.“

“The food at this place is fantastic! I especially love the crust on both the pizza and the calzone—it’s perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of flavor. Each bite of the pizza is loaded with fresh toppings and gooey cheese, while the calzone is stuffed generously and baked to golden perfection. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the preparation, and every meal feels satisfying and delicious.\nThe price was good and the service excellent. Almost no wait time for lunch.“

“We tried the Larryville Hand Pies today, apple for my husband and peach for me. I am 61 years old and this is THE BEST PIE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Not too sweet, fresh peaches with wonderful flavor, spiced up with just the right amount of nutmeg. And the crust is out of this world, flaky, crispy and tender. The pies are ENORMOUS too, I think two people could split one. I will definitely be back!“

“We recently used McLain's catering for a shower brunch and were absolutely amazed by how beautiful the food was and how delicious. It made for a stunning table and people couldn't stop eating or thanking us! They were even able to design an unusual cake we had requested and it turned out perfect. “On Saturday, August 23rd, we had great pizza. Three mini pizza's: Hawaiian; tostada; and my favorite, Papa Minsky. Added a side salad and mushrooms for appetizers.
Service was prompt and friendly. All the food was excellent. The toppings on the minis had great texture and taste. Salad was crispy and fresh with excellent ranch dressing. Mushrooms were breaded perfectly. My girlfriend has been a customer of the original Minsky's in Kansas City since she was a child. The Lawrence location, at 934 Massachusetts street, equals the quality of the original. Highly recommend.“
