“Kid-friendliness: We had gone to celebrate birthday for my 4yr old and the owner came up to us and asked what we were doing and when we told him he gifted my son a cake for free! The owner was very friendly and very thankful for our large group business and made sure we felt and knew his gratitude for us choosing them to support our festive activities.“

“I had chips and salsa, guacamole and their white cheese sauce. For lunch I had the taco platter. It comes with 3 and I added 1 more. They were delicious. Much bigger than I expected. I was not able to eat the 4th taco I ordered. The only thing that I can say is the meat in the tacos was watery. Not greasy but watery. I think they precook a larger amount of taco meat ( which is fine everybody does) and add water so it doesn't burn in the bottom of the pan. But when they made the tacos ? they didn't make sure to get the excess water out of the meat. That made the shells soggy and fall apart. I like crunchy tacos not soggy taco shells. Other than that everything else was great. I was with several other people and no one had any complaints I will still go back, the food is good and pretty fast coming out of the kitchen.“
“This is a fun, little Mexican restaurant. Every time we come here the staff is friendly and the food is spot on. We typically come on Friday nights and it's always busy. I really like the thinness of their tortilla chips. I like to get something different when we eat here and I have yet to be disappointed.“

“I've tried half the menu and it all has been tasty. The prices are cheap for the amount you get. Most of the meals become two meals for me. The chicken enchiladas are the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The shrimp bowl was cheaper than Chipotle and double the amount of food. Everything is better here than at Pancho's.“
“Just wanted to hop on here and recommend Palacana. My husband really wanted carne asada fries for dinner, I showed them the picture and asked if they could make it. They whipped it up and I was on my way. They were absolutely delicious!!! We used to get these frequently in Colorado and haven’t seen them in Kansas; they were amazing and I hope they will be added to the menu in the future.Also the smoothies here are AMAZING; the food is great and the service is fast!“

Our espinaca was forgotten at first, however they brought it out with our food and did NOT disappoint. Our service was fast, food was great, and overall excited to come back! “I kept forgetting to leave this review. Managing to before they move locations at least.Red Kitchen has been a staple of my diet for about four years now. I've been going since they were just a stall in the Public Market. Alejandra, the owner, is incredibly nice. Scantly had any negative experience at all.Yummy breakfast burritos, yummy tacos, yummy toastadas.Incidentally I've only tried their tamales once (because the owner gave me one for free!) -- the item that made Red Kitchen popular. But it was tasty!Just nice, comfortable food.I see some reviews complain about the fact Red Kitchen uses pre-made tortillas for many menu items. I don't find that to be a problem:- Firstly, the pork fat tortillas seem to be made by another local business in Kansas City.- Secondly, it's no more out of the ordinary to me than Joe's BBQ using plain white bread for pulled pork sandwiches. No one ever complains about that. The star of the show is the meat & other filling, not the "bread."I also see at least one review complain that they aren't "authentic"? If she's not busy, talk to Alejandra even for a second. That's all the proof you need that she strives to make "the real deal."“

“Amazing service from Lourdes our server. She was sweet and personable and brought us our dishes quickly. Food was excellent especially liked the salsas, tostados and fish/veggie ceviche that come as the starter. The sauce that comes with the levanta muertos is delicious and the bay scallops were melt in your mouth tender. Atmosphere is inviting and low key. We will be back! ??“
“El Toro Loco catered our wedding in Feb. 2024 and they were outstanding! Eugenio, the owner, personally connected with my husband and I several times prior to the wedding and worked with us to create a taco buffet with many options for an affordable price. He went above and beyond by going out of his way even to stay during the reception to make sure that the food was taken care of along with bringing in some other employees to ensure a smooth dining experience (out of the kindness of his heart). Everyone commented how wonderful the food was all night! This was their first wedding that they have catered, but no one would have known! If you are considering a Mexican restaurant for your event, choose EL TORO LOCO!“

I have been eating Chipotle burritos for years.. but the Al Pastor burrito that I got today was a thousand times better than any Chipotle burrito I ever had! No joke. “We visited here on Sunday evening for a late dinner and used the app to order ahead. Our meal was pretty much ready when we got there and the gentleman that helped us did a good job. The food order itself was 100% accurate and they did not forget a single item. I feel this is extremely noteworthy as most Taco Bell's forget an item or 2 when the order is for a few or more people. He did actually forget one of our drinks but he was apologetic and quickly got us the drink. The food was delicious and was still warm when we got it home. This was definitely one of our better Taco Bell experiences as of late and this location did a great job for us. Thanks again!“
