“I love this place so much I wish I could gatekeep it. The atmosphere is so comfortable, it looks like the staff actually takes good care of the plants, lots of seating, lots of plug ins for those laptops. The coffe is like 6/10, I'd go somewhere else but the vibe is so nice I just get a mid coffee to sit and study. I've had many coffee dates here and long conversations with friends and family. It gets crowded but that doesn't bother me“

Best butter chicken I have ever had. Even their american offerings like chicken tenders and fries are absolutely perfect. My family of 6 went out there and tried a little bit of everything on the menu. I don't know how they can have such an expansive menu, yet nail every dish. 10/10“

I do notice a change in the attitude of the staff since about later 2025.

This may be because of any number of things. Around October 22 or 23 there were two bank robberies,first 1:30pm in Waldo area US bank Gregory Boulevard and Wornall Road-last one at 3:30pm a block away UMB Bank 49th & Main Street.

While the wait staff is excellent in a leisurely lunch, yet highly attentive; the sales staff are aggressive as soon as I am finished with the meal.
Even if I go to purchase a special treat not having a meal, and I want to shop. Also the price of chocolate treats were around $97.00 a pound for liquor chocolate truffles in February 2026!I don’t even look at the truffles anymore ( prices may fluctuate but I have noticed it’s unlikely prices go down).

“5/20/2026: I went thru here with a friend of mine cuz we was both hungry and had no money, and we wasn't wanting to steal food or do a dine and dash lol It was actually rather good for a soup kitchen and the service was great. By the time we had arrived there wasn't a line of people waiting to get in and the actual dining room wasn't too packed either. Would definitely go back again“

“I misread the menu item “seasonal SIGNATURE LATTE” and asked for a turtle latte. In my defense, “-TURE LATTE” looked like turtle and I was tired. They still made a turtle latte, but the signature part was a nice touch. This beautiful foamy artwork was hidden under the coffee lid. Definitely coming back. 😂 Good coffee too.“

“The restaurant is in a warehouse type building but a lot of effort has been put into giving it a cozy feel. Once more people discover how good the food is, the place should fill up and be more appealing. The food was delicious, portions large, and service friendly and efficient. “My husband and I took three of our kids to this location yesterday for lunch. We’d never been to a First Watch before, but we knew to expect excellent quality food with a healthy, comforting twist; right up my alley! WOW! We were SO impressed! From our initial greeting coming into the restaurant all the way to the end of our visit, we were treated with happy smiles, incredible customer service, prompt wait times, and delicious meals. Our kids enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes with sausage and bacon. Their protein selections were unmatched with appropriately larger portions than most, enough to satisfy two growing boys! They couldn’t say enough about the flavor and quality. My husband and I tried dishes including hash potatoes, fresh market veggies, beautifully cooked eggs, and their whole grain toast - that was a treat! As someone who isn’t a fan of toast, in general, making a meal out of this whole grain toast, house-made butter and preserves would be easy to do. Lovely atmosphere, obvious camaraderie among the staff, fun culture, exceptional product! We left happy and eager to experience First Watch again very soon. Thank you to Daniel and his team for making our first visit a memorable one!“
