“I love kitties hamburgers, and have highly reviewed them in the past. I was really looking forward to today to one this Friday afternoon and I have memorized their hours.
Behold, they’re closed until the end of February. Was a very small faded cardboard sign on the door.
If they really cared about their customers, they’d have a big one that you could see from the street without having to park and walk um readable one .
And they would at least update their website.
Guess I’ll have to go to Shake shack this afternoon.“

“I love this place so much I wish I could gatekeep it. The atmosphere is so comfortable, it looks like the staff actually takes good care of the plants, lots of seating, lots of plug ins for those laptops. The coffe is like 6/10, I'd go somewhere else but the vibe is so nice I just get a mid coffee to sit and study. I've had many coffee dates here and long conversations with friends and family. It gets crowded but that doesn't bother me“

“This place is the jewel of the neighborhood and of KCNE. Here, not only good things happen, but they are possible because of the owner’s mission of creating a place for making dreamers’ dream a reality. From providing a space for yoga, meditation, selling crafts, singing, delicious healthy food and drinks plus all his employees are happy people and soon greet you by name. Vegans and organics are safe here too. Without PH Coffee the Art Garden would not have had the necessary support and resources it needed to start and grow. Thank you Eric!“

“In town for a conference at the Convention Center. Hands down the best coffee I had in KC. Went there three days in a row!
Also got the breakfast burrito and Chicken Salad Sandwich. Both were exceptional.
Spacious inside with a nice vibe. Barista was also super nice too.“

“I LOVE it here. The baristas are always so sweet, and the coffee is always delicious. I highly recommend the honeycomb latte. The ham and cheese croissant and the everything bagels are delicious as well. A little pricey but worth it. Great people all around.“

“5/20/2026: I went thru here with a friend of mine cuz we was both hungry and had no money, and we wasn't wanting to steal food or do a dine and dash lol It was actually rather good for a soup kitchen and the service was great. By the time we had arrived there wasn't a line of people waiting to get in and the actual dining room wasn't too packed either. Would definitely go back again“
“The restaurant is in a warehouse type building but a lot of effort has been put into giving it a cozy feel. Once more people discover how good the food is, the place should fill up and be more appealing. The food was delicious, portions large, and service friendly and efficient. We were just passing through and if we ever come back to the area, we will hope to dine there again.“

“This place is adorable. They have two options for timing and it's very affordable. The cookies are yummy and they have drinks as well. SO MANY CUTE KITTIES!! The employees came around and handed out treats for us to give the kitties, who were very sweet and interactive. It's a lovely place to just sit and and a calm moment to love on some sweet cats.“

“I’m incredibly picky with coffee and tried a few different places during my trip to KC before finding PTs. Far and away the best coffee in the area, I was blown away. I just got their drip coffee light roast and it was clearly fresh and a wall balanced cup. Atmosphere was also fantastic. They have some multi pack pour overs that are perfect for travel and I’m sad that I didn’t find those earlier in the trip! 10/10 will be back next time I’m in town“
“FANTASTIC MUSEUM! My daughter and I are both history nuts and love this place! The staff members are very knowledgeable and are so sweet! It was my first trip and I could’ve spent 2 or 3 days in here and still wouldn’t have viewed everything. The sweetest man stopped us as we were exiting and asked us if we saw the letter of the luckiest human ever. Of course we didn’t, we had overlooked it. He took us back in and showed us a letter of a soldier who entered and exited service on the same day…just hours apart. This gentleman loved his job and it showed! We will be back, time and time again!“

“We visited on a Saturday morning, and our server Cathy was amazing: 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, all the things!!! That sweet lady ran from table to table to table, she even had one of 28, while other servers had a handful of tables. The host did nothing to help support Cathy. As far as we could tell, he was seating, people and once in a while clearing a table. We got seated quickly bu our wait time for drinks and food was long. No one but our server seemed to be able to fill coffee, get more silverware (why didn't the host take care of this when we were seated?). These negatives were not because our server was not capable. The food was great but management there needs to make sure that all staff is supported and that it is evident that everyone is there working toward the same goal. 5 stars for our server. Bacon cooked just the way I like it - not overdone. Over medium eggs were a little under done. Great coffee! Support staff really made the atmosphere tough.“

“Spokes was a lifesaver during my recent trip to Kansas City. Eric and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.The cafe itself is an absolute gem. It has a comfortable, inviting atmosphere that gave me the perfect place to hang out while I waited on my hotel room to be ready. Whether you choose a cozy armchair or a spot at a spacious table, there's a perfect place to relax and get some work done.But the true stars of the show were the coffee and the food. My Americano was rich, flavorful, and brewed to perfection. Exactly what I needed to kickstart my day. And let's not forget the incredible club sandwich!By the time I was ready to check into my hotel, I felt refreshed, productive, and most importantly, welcomed. If you find yourself downtown Kansas City, do yourself a favor and head to Spokes. You won't be disappointed!“

“Absolutely outstanding experience at XR! From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, friendly, and attentive without ever being over the top.
The food was exceptional. The meatballs were packed with flavour, perfectly cooked, and easily one of the best starters I’ve had in a long time. The Thai chicken salad was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced with just the right amount of spice and crunch.
The combination of fantastic food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere made for a memorable meal. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend XR to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Kansas City.“
“Enjoyed sit down lunches twice in UMKC Pierson in last 2 months. Includes chicken breast with Dijon mustard or sliced roast turkey, with soup, fresh green salad, mashed potatoes and 2nd time with mashed sweet potatoes. Finished w cheesecake drizzled w raspberry sauce. 2nd lunch finished w chocolate cake!“

“I love this place! I’m not much of a cigar smoker, but I do enjoy one every once in a while, and this spot is perfect for it. The atmosphere is comfortable, and the drinks are amazing. Every now and then, they even have live music, which adds to the great experience.“
