The food and drinks were excellent and the setting was great overlooking the main hall of Union Station. Service was excellent and organization of the dinner was convenient. “Just kind of stumbled upon Cafe gratitude this morning. We aren’t from KC and decided to walk a bit before we headed home, we had no idea it was a vegan restaurant. We decided to try it out and were delightfully surprised. The flavors were delicious. The protein substitutes were done perfectly. We all tried some thing we wouldn’t typically order and we left very satisfied. Our server was great, she did a wonderful job of explaining things to us and really made it a great experience. “My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at The Melting Pot, and the staff was amazing and the service was great! They made our anniversary so special!! I can not thank them enough. The manager surprised us with chocolate covered strawberries, our table decorated with roses, and gave me a rose! Our hostess made us a special two year plate with a delicious raspberry sauce. I can’t recommend this place enough!“

“Walking in, the restaurant was much nicer than I expected. We arrived 30 minutes before closing, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The Don Corleone pizza, loaded with processed meats, wasn't overwhelmingly salty. The Pepperoni Pizza was excellent too. Both had a medium-sized crust with a good crunch. Neither pizza was too oily or doughy. If you enjoy dipping in ranch or adding Parmesan, those are complimentary. When it was time to go, they happily boxed up our leftovers, using aluminum foil to separate the two types of pizza we ordered.“

“I CANNOT believe they are closing the “Tea Room.” (Making room for more chocolate production). What a devastating loss to Kansas City! A lovely experience like none other. Chocolates are delicious, but a rare splurge. Very sad decision, especially since they aren’t giving their legions of fans much of a chance to dine one last time in their lovely, quaint and unique dining room...And no. “Fresh delicious food , the appetizers were amazing 👏 Baba Ganouj, Hummus , Lentil Soup with summak, and Falafel piping hot and crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The mixed grill took a while (so order early) but I know nothing was reheated. Everything cooked there and then. The chicken was juicy , flavorful snd succulent . The lamb chops finger the licking good. the beef sheesh kebab soft and juicy and not dry so the fat meat content was on spot. The only negative perhaps was the sheesh kebab was a bit salty 🧂 for my palate.“

He has a son that has a gluten and dairy allergy and his one request for his birthday this year was a key lime pie that he could share with his son. That was not an easy task to locate. Even though it is not something they offer on their menu, Mud Pie Bakery was willing to do a special order for a gluten free, dairy free key lime pie and I must say, we were blown away! It was delicious! The crust was delicious, the filling was tangy, and the whipped topping was sweet and balanced everything else out! Not only that, but it looked beautiful! The best part is that my boyfriend's son got to enjoy a sweet treat that the rest of the family was having and that is something that rarely happens, due to his dietary restrictions! My girlfriend went all-in on the deep dish with black olives, mushrooms, and Canadian bacon (her first deep dish experience, by the way), and she was immediately converted. Meanwhile, I kept it classic with a house salad, loaded with blue cheese dressing that I’m convinced is straight from the dressing gods.
