“I came to Kansas City over the weekend and experienced the delight that is your restaurant. If I ever get back there you’ll see me again. The food was amazing, but I loved the words on your menu and the whole vibe that comes from locally sourced goods. Your menu spoke of kindness and community. I accidentally left my phone in your bathroom when I left. Since we were on our way back to Chicago it was definitely something I needed to find and it could have been a completely stressful experience. It wasn’t. You weren’t just serving up food. I went out to the car so my friend could call my son and have him find my iPhone the thing but we never got to that. A lovely gentleman in a blue track jacket came knocking gleefully at the window. They had found it and he was so happy to tell me. When I came back in to get it your restaurant was packed and it was very busy and yet I felt like every person there had just stopped everything for a moment to find my phone. The excitement when they gave it back to me was amazing. It was a truly beautiful experience. I totally had the New York omelette, but what I was really ordering was the “cultivate kindness” printed right there on the menu. It was even better than the food and that’s saying something because those rosemary potatoes were the bomb diggity ;) Thank you 💙♥️💙“

“Drove 1.5 hours to try and buy some Povitica which I never had till then and it was outstanding!! The english walnut I preferred and the coffee cakes are almost as good as the povitica. I recommend the cinnamon walnut and mocha coffee (I really enjoyed yet hate coffee!) It was interesting watching the workers making the products as well. Samples are out to try which were not tiny and fresh and the gal that assisted us was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely will go back after the 4 povitica and cakes are gone as well as 5 cheesecakes!!“

“When you walk in you order through a kiosk, I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, French fries and onion rings. If you bring your family it would be pretty pricey place to go, I didnt see any combos, and sauces are a additional 99 cents. Everything came out nice and hot, French fries had a bit too much salt, onions rings were pretty good“

“Delicious! Ordered the birria taco, grilled shrimp taco, Mexican corn and chips and guac. Everything was tasty, the birria taco was my favorite! The margs looked good as well. I would love to have one of these in Iowa, but I think it’s local to KC.“

“Food is really good, I've ordered many times from them but my last order included an $8.25 fee for carry out supplies. They charge a percent of the entire bill. No where in the check out process do they tell you this. This seems excessive for 6 utensil packs and 5 takeout containers. Many other BBQ places with similar price points do not charge this fee. If you are going to charge extra fees be up front about it.“

The decore is a little 12 years ago, but it's to be expected. What I didnt expect was how good the food was going to be. First of all they have a pretty good beer selection and a lot of interesting cocktails. We got the chips and queso as a starter (which came out with our food, oh well). Unbelievably delicious. Restaurant made chips, perfectly salty and crisp. Very tasty queso. My wife and I then had the mix and match tacos. I had 2 chicken and 2 mahi mahi and my wife had the cheeseburger and the cane asada. They were all delicious, except the chicken was a little bland.

Our server, I can't remember his name now sorry, was excellent. Very attentive, professional, amiable. Top tier service.

The drinks were a little spendy but that is to be expected I guess. Actually turned out to be the most expensive meal we had on our trip. Big bonus was that there was no wait and the food came out quick. All in all it was a great experience.“

“I’ve heard of Equal Minded in the past, but recently a friend hosted an event there and it was great! The space was easy to set up in, the coffee and snacks were great & the customer service. Since then, if I am in the area and I need to get work done, it’s becoming more of a place to pop into. The more I get to know about what they offer and the small businesses they support, the more I enjoy becoming a customer there. I also really like that they have some Sugar Free options & I really like their Honey Lavender Matcha too!“

“5 star service. Celebrated a birthday and it was better than we could have imagined. The table ordered two flatbreads, tomato soup, a Mac and cheese entree, and a mushroom Swiss burger. Food was delicious, quality ingredients, and generous portions. Absolute value for the money and experience!“

Mushroom burger, paneer wrap, avocado toast, curry fries, focaccia, street corn, and ice cream. All the staff were so kind and engaging. It was easy to find many GF options too. Just wish there would have been more heater lamps since it was cold.“
