My server, Eliza, was the absolute sweetest. She has the vibe (as the kids would say) of my previous wife, Lindsay. That being said, Lindsay had severe anger issues that she’d take out on the dog—not to say that I peg Eliza as a dog beater. She was great: really blue eyes, a nice feminine figure, the works!

She came back several times to check on me and asked how the food was, but I was too busy stuffing my gullet with that delicious pie. Anyhow, I recommend that you make The Other Place your new place! Boy, do I crack myself up sometimes!“

The only downside was that I went there with some friends on Sunday morning to watch the Spanish Clásico — Barcelona vs. Real Madrid — and immediately after the referee blew the final whistle, they switched the channel to an American football game. It felt a bit rude, almost as if they were kicking us out. Everyone wanted to see the post-game highlights and player interviews, and someone even yelled from another table, “No one wants to see the Panthers!” The bar had advertised that they would open early especially for El Clásico, so you would expect a soccer bar to give priority to soccer fans, specially on a specific soccer game they were advertising to host. Other than that, everything was great — the waitress was very kind and the hand-crafted cocktails were awesome.“

“I was lucky enough to host my company Christmas party in the popup holiday bar this year. I CANNOT say enough great things about the venue, food, drinks and staff! Everything was incredible and such a great value! The staff was on point. From the beginning Alexa, the event coordinator, and Adam, the general manager, made the whole process so seamless and amazing. “I really only come here for the sports bar atmosphere. Food is not anything spectacular but tolerable much like any other sports bar in the area. Service this day was sub par. I think our bartender/ server may have been high, as they really messed up our order. But all in all, kinda what I expect from Johnny's.“

“I had an amazing experience at Dos Lokos Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the energy was welcoming and fun. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out fast — you can tell they care about quality.

Huge shoutout to the bartenders Jaden and Jayda — their drinks were perfectly made and beautifully presented. They were friendly, attentive, and really made the night enjoyable with their great personalities and positive vibes.

And the manager Sam was outstanding! You can tell great leadership starts at the top. Sam made sure everything was running smoothly and checked in to ensure we were satisfied. That level of customer service really stands out.

If you’re looking for great food, strong drinks, and an all-around good time, Dos Lokos is definitely the place to go. I’ll absolutely be back!“

“Definitely a very nice staff. Feels really crammed inside though. I had ordered a catering order and I understand it was last minute but they told me they were able to do it. I called about 45 mins to an hour before scheduled pick up to make sure it would still be ready on time and the lady said you’re scheduled for this time so yes it will ready in a sarcastic tone. Okay I was just asking because if it was going to be later then I would come later instead of standing there waiting no big deal. So I get there at my scheduled time and it took them a good 10 minutes just to get my bill together. Then I had to wait another 20 minutes for the food. Granted I ordered the bare minimum for a catering order. Again I get I ordered it same day but don’t say you can do it by a certain time if you cannot. I’m a very understanding person but I ended up being late to where I needed to go because of waiting so long. They also have you wait at the bar which I don’t feel comfortable with because 1. I’m not trying to sit down to pick up food and 2. I’m taking up a spot that someone could be sitting in. Other than that the food wasn’t horrible just very mediocre.“

“One of my favorite bars! The buffalo chicken sandwich is really one of the best around! I have even enjoyed the dart board and pool table a few times. There is only one, so dont count on it being available, but it is an unexpected surprise. Be sure to check out the upstairs. “We ate there Saturday afternoon and they weren't overly busy. Two of us got the shrimp platter with fries and onion rings. Unfortunately, the shrimp and hush puppies were burnt. They were so overcooked they weren't moist at all, dry as can be. The waitress forgot to bring the malt vinegar for our friends fish platter. Then she ordered a mule beer and the waitress never did return with that either. Food used to be great. Hopefully this was just a bad day. We'll give them another chance.“

“Going on 4 years and this place just gets better and better! While you can always find entertainment here the service stays on point! Very attentive. The outside patio is beautiful and gives some space while you eat. We love the lamb and wygau beef burgers. My kids eat the pizza and wings while I enjoy their yummy cocktails! From burgers to nachos and eveything in between you'll feel like you ate anywhere but a bar. Just make sure to get a side of ranch for yourself! Gaels is constantly helping organizations in the community with fundraising and support! A true beacon in kc!“

“Came in on a superbowl Sunday and it was quiet ish, the bartender, Ryan was great though, engaging, great service, dealt with my indecisiveness quickly. I had a great time just chilling on a quiet night. Came back Tuesday and it was lively, plenty of friendly locals. Ryan remembered my name and what I was drinking. My hometown dive bars don't serve food, but I felt at home, which is rare.

I'll be back, whenever I'm in town. A+ in my book. If you're on the fence, just come in.“

“This is a small, local bar that is playing sports on a few TV's which I guess makes it a sports bar. But give it a chance. The owner was extremely nice and yet was bantering with the locals like a salty sailor. The wings were surprisingly good, their house sauce was spicy and tangy. And the locals were also friendly. This is not a chain place, but if you want a beer and good wings this is the place to go.“

“🚨GUACAMOLE CHANGE! We’ve been coming to Ponaks for 30 years. The guacamole has aways been one of our favorites. Today we ordered it and immediately noticed something was different. We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. It’s not even close to what it was. I hope they don’t start changing their food and Margaritas!!! There is a reason people keep coming back year after year! Please dont mess with perfection Ponaks!“
