You have to try the crab wontons—they’re a must! We just had the Tokyo crispy chicken, and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Honestly, I haven’t had a single thing here that I didn’t love. Chris, the owner, always greets us with a warm smile, and he and his staff make you feel truly welcome every time. “I stopped here on the way back to Iowa. Parking was a bit tight because I was in an RV, but I managed. You can't go in to eat. You can walk up or drive thru. I walked up of course. He quoted the food would be ready in 15 minutes, which seemed a bit long. But it was actually ready in about 10 minutes. The food was phenomenal. I ordered Mongolian beef and Kung Pao chicken. Both were fantastic. I highly recommend this place.“

“The new owners are outstanding. We come here at least once every two weeks, more like every week. Their crab Rangoon is the best any of us have ever had (group of 4-5 always). Their steamed dumplings are fantastic. Service is always friendly and fast. We order a lot of food - typically 3 orders of crab Rangoon (for extras), steamed dumplings, at least 2 orders of beef and broccoli and other cantonese dishes. Every dish we’ve ordered is the best Chinese food we’ve found in MO or KS. My husband always gets a soup, the wonton soup with the chili sauce was his favorite. He says the hot n sour soup is also amazing. Orange chicken, honey chicken, Mongolian beef, beef lo mein - seriously amazing. This place should be much busier than we see it!“

I heard the host ask the manager about sitting us there as she already had 3 tables. Now I know why. Not the birthday lunch I was hoping for today.“

The food is absolutely delicious and fresh the restaurant is clean and hospitable. I had the Mongolian beef and the Singapore mai fun. Both dishes were served hot and cooked right in front of us. The owner and staff were pleasant and happy to see us. The quality of this place was so impressive. I also ordered an eggroll and it was one of the best I have ever had crispy and not soggy at all with powerful flavor. The seasonings on all the food were so spot on. Highly recommend this one. “Other reviewers are complaining about the fact that this isn't authentic Chinese food. Get over it. This neighborhood isn't bougie enough for that. Go somewhere that's gentrified, you hipsters. The food may be Americanized but who cares? When you've been partying and you need something quick and tasty to help you bounce back and you are in no mood to leave the house, these guys got you covered. We ordered the Pu-pu platter, some fried dumplings, sesame beef, and moo goo gai pan. They told us it would be 30-45 minutes before it arrived and they had it there in 20. The quality, portions, freshness, speed of food of Jasmine Pavillon is normally A+++ plus. It’s one of my families favorites when we are craving delicious Chinese food here in Johnson County. Well the kids did not like the orange chicken this time, everything else was fantastic! However I was not trying to go back to the restaurant and complain and be that person. Later in the evening I received a request in my email box asking “How did we do?”basically a survey about my experience and I gave an honest review. The next day I get a message from the company and wow I can’t tell you how blown away I was by the customer service! Whoever was messaging me apologize completely took into account what my issues were. Let me know that this was not something that they want to happen again they made me feel like they really care that I’m a customer I know this is just a restaurant to everyone else. However they really made me feel like the money and my opinion mattered. Not once did they blame give excuses or make me feel like it was probably just my issue. They really wanted me to know that their complete goal is customer satisfaction and that I know the quality of their food is important to them. I cannot believe how personable this experience was. I’ve been going here for a couple years and I can 100% say I will be there #1 fan for going back! I normally don’t take the time to write good reviews unless it really is worth it and I feel like this had to be had to be said. Any company that takes the time to actually review and respond to the customers is very rare these days. I think what it was amazing was the survey was private it wasn’t going to be on social media or anything so there really was no need for the company to reach out to me and only to just take the feedback given. Places like this are very rare and they should be acknowledged. I truly appreciate not feeling like a number like everywhere else. Jasmine Pavilion showed me the quality of their food and their customers are truly very important to them. Any business especially one that serves food, that takes the time to resolve, correct or even acknowledge customers experience even if it was initially negative and turn it around to make my experience happy is so valuable . But what was best about our experience getting food here was that when my mother left her wallet sitting somewhere in the restaurant while waiting for our food, she got distracted and forgot it! She didn’t even realize until way late at night after close. Thankfully, whoever was working that evening noticed the wallet and put it away for safekeeping and my mother was able to get it back the following morning. She was extremely grateful and we admire the honesty and integrity of the employee and business! So glad they noticed the wallet and are clearly paying attention to their restaurant.“

“My wife and I found this place back in 2011, when we lived a few blocks away... but still drive across town to enjoy their food. Some of the best Chinese we've had in KC in this price range. Atmosphere is only a half-notch above your typical strip mall fare, but service is always great, and the food is consistently good.

UPDATE: We stopped by last week after a long time (we live on the other side of town)... food is still excellent. Talked to the owner for a bit, and it's obvious she and her husband are working very hard to take care of their customers.“
