“I have visited Lucky Wok twice since my first review...once for take-out and once for dine in. The food has been delicious every time, still 5 stars. The service is still poor. Don't get me wrong, the employees are super nice and try, but the overall service is poor and without flow. Both times that we have dined in our orders have came out separately. One person's meal is brought out and the next person's dish comes out 5-10 minutes later. I find it rude to eat when others are still waiting to receive their food but I also do not like to eat cold food because I waited. This really needs to be addressed by management.

I would still recommend the food, but maybe take-out is the preferred method?“

“I stopped here on the way back to Iowa. Parking was a bit tight because I was in an RV, but I managed. You can't go in to eat. You can walk up or drive thru. I walked up of course. He quoted the food would be ready in 15 minutes, which seemed a bit long. But it was actually ready in about 10 minutes. The food was phenomenal. I ordered Mongolian beef and Kung Pao chicken. Both were fantastic. I highly recommend this place.“

“This is my go to spot. I always call and order carry out. My food is always ready within 15 minutes and is fresh. I’ve never dinned in but when I call and pick up the people are always friendly. The fried rice is my favorite. I get veggie fried rice add beef with crab Rangoon and egg rolls. Definitely recommend.“

“My wife and I found this place back in 2011, when we lived a few blocks away... but still drive across town to enjoy their food. Some of the best Chinese we've had in KC in this price range. Atmosphere is only a half-notch above your typical strip mall fare, but service is always great, and the food is consistently good.

UPDATE: We stopped by last week after a long time (we live on the other side of town)... food is still excellent. Talked to the owner for a bit, and it's obvious she and her husband are working very hard to take care of their customers.“

“Went today (Tuesday) afternoon, very quiet and calm :) The woman who rung us up and brought out our food was very polite! We ordered egg fried rice, thai curry noodles with chicken, shrimp, and beef, and shrimp with broccoli (comes with white rice btw). We got our food very quick and it was delicious! Portions are large enough to be satisfying but not so large that leftovers are more than one meal (only about 1/3rd of my food here became takeout). Very clean and wonderful establishment, I wish I lived in the area so I could eat here more often.“

“Andrew and his team in the Market Grill are amazing! We came in on Saturday to feed our football team in between games and they did not disappoint! Food was fresh and tasted great. They let us spread out in the top seating area so our kids and families could sit and eat comfortably while we warmed up from the freezing rain and cold. “Wow! We have eaten here many times and been very delighted with the food. Today however was a different story. This is the first time we have ever ordered on a Sunday. Maybe the lower quality was because they were trying to use up food because they are closed tomorrow? We ordered general's chicken chicken lo mein and egg rolls. The egg rolls were obviously reheated in the microwave and so chewy that we could not even invite them. The chicken lo mein was awful. I guess the low main part was okay but the chicken tasted like chicken that had been in someone's refrigerator for three or four days and been reheated. Although the general's chicken the chicken was good, you could not even bite through the onions and the broccoli was hard as a rock. Because we have had good prior experiences I will try to order here again but maybe not on a sunday?“

“We had the Lemon Chicken and St. Louis Style Chicken Fried Rice...AMAZING! The lady verified that we wanted the lemon chicken and asked if we wanted to switch to an orange chicken or honey chicken and I'm so thankful I continued on with the Lemon Chicken. Got the sauce on the side. The chicken was crispy and delicious and the sauce was exactly the light lemon taste I was hoping for! The crab rangoon and fried rice were also on point! We're only in town for a short visit, yet we'll be sure to visit this place again!“
