“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

The menudo and pozole is best ive ever had and the chili rolo and verde are both outstanding, tastes exactly like homemade because they are. Wonderful family owned stop in a historic area of KC. oh and dont forget to treat yourself to the best chillaquiles and eggs you'll ever have. Delicious! “Had a great time at Guy Fieri’s Dive & Taco Joint while enjoying the soccer atmosphere at Kansas City’s Power & Light District. We ordered the carne asada tacos and the carne asada fries, and both were delicious. The carne asada was flavorful, and the fries were loaded and perfect for sharing.

The service was friendly and the atmosphere was lively with lots of fans around. Great food, great energy, and a fun place to hang out while watching soccer. We would definitely come back next time we’re in Kansas City! ⚽🌮😊🔥“

“🚨GUACAMOLE CHANGE! We’ve been coming to Ponaks for 30 years. The guacamole has aways been one of our favorites. Today we ordered it and immediately noticed something was different. We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. It’s not even close to what it was. I hope they don’t start changing their food and Margaritas!!! There is a reason people keep coming back year after year! Please dont mess with perfection Ponaks!“

“I was looking for a new place to take my daughters to dinner and Campesino did NOT disappoint!! Our server was so polite, the chips and salsa were amazing, the food came out quick and hot, and everything tasted delicious!! I had the Pollo en Rajas and now I will think about that dish daily and make the 20 minute drive often for it! And the margaritas you ask? Except for my dad's, probably the best I have ever had!!! “80th Street location We usually go to the one on 151st but saw a review in a group and this one was so cute decided to try it. We went on Monday, had such an amazing dinner that we went back tonight (Tuesday). Our servers both nights were beyond friendly and knowledgeable. I forgot Mondays server name but tonight was Marcos and he was the absolute best! I had the tortilla soup both nights and I just want a gallon of it, the best I have ever had. The toppings added to it overall, and the fresh avocado was so tasty. Really, get it, you won't be the same after. Is getting it 3 days in a row excessive? Hmmmm Taco Tuesday tacos $1 each, ground beef or chicken. The ground beef is well seasoned, and delicious. The avocado salsa is another must try. This is a must and my new favorite place.“

“Myself and my small party of two more people stop by at around 10pm on 6/1/26. We went inside and put in our order, hoping to dine-in as well. Our fault for not realizing they close their lobby at 10pm. Upon being notified of this, the young lady Payton, behind the counter was very professional, sweet and understanding when I asked if we could have our meal inside. Which we did. And I think that alone made a normally good experience- GREAT!

“This place is perfect in every way. They have the best chips and salsa of any Mexican Restaurants when me and my friends go we end up getting like 6 plates of chips and at least 3 refills of salsa each. The food is also fire the pork carnitas are Lightning in a bottle an amazing explosion of Flavor the carnitas tend to explode all over my hands, but that’s a me issue. Their pricing is also very good. I would recommend this place to all who are looking for great Mexican food!“
