“It's rare that we have a date night on a weekday with two young children, but tonight was the exception. When I realized our anniversary was falling on a Wednesday, Perso was the first place that came to mind. Perso's Prix Fixe Menú is available every Sunday through Wednesday and offers a three course meal for $29. It's no secret that I'm a fine dining enthusiast; but who doesn't love a bargain? If you're looking for a nice night out without breaking the bank, this is your spot. Perso sits at the corner of Oak and Shelby in the same location as the former Square Cut Pizza. The giant windows in the front provide an abundance of natural light. The interior has a modern industrial vibe with painted exposed brick, plants, and Edison bulbs hanging on pendants. One wall with wooden slats gives a Scandinavian feel to the main dining area. It's a small-ish intimate space with a beautiful patio. For my first course, I chose Crostino Di Tonno- olive oil poached tuna, stracciatella, pickled celery, and Calabrian chili. I followed my first course with olive oil poached swordfish, corn chowder, and golden zucchini scapece. For dessert, I had the chef's choice: apple strudel with whipped cream cheese. My husband chose heirloom tomato with roasted eggplant, bagna couda, and fine herbs. For his main course, he had pork tenderloin with edamame, beef dashi, and fine herbs. We both opted for the chef's choice for dessert. I tasted each of his courses and they were every bit as delicious as my own. The edamame provided the perfect texture and his tenderloin dashi tasted gravy-esque without being overly heavy. Mostly notable, besides the insane deal for such decadence, was the fresh flavor combinations throughout. Our table had fresh rosemary as a centerpiece. The corn chowder was right up my alley. I could've licked my bowl if I wasn't trying to pretend to have a bit of class. The swordfish was tender, juicy, and not overly fishy. The tuna flatbread was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The mint on top of my whipped cream cheese truly set it apart. My lavender Manhattan was earthy and smoky, not just in flavor. It was literally smoking. My husband had an old-fashioned. Neither of us were disappointed. Our server, Amanda, was phenomenal. She offered recommendations. She visited our table to ensure we were satisfied the perfect number of times. Her warm demeanor was professional while also being personable. She was everything we hope for in a server. Perso's Sunday through Wednesday Prix Fixe Menú is hands-down one of the best opportunities for an affordable night out. That being said, once you get a taste of what they have to offer, you'll be sold on splurging any day of the week.“

Now I'm searching for Lil Cheezers in the daytime with a flash light🤪🫠😁 Seriously, they used fresh wheat bread, gourmet cheese, fresh crispy bacon, a delicious pickle and chips for ONLY $10! The actual sandwich was a pretty nice size too, it might feed 2. These guys are highly recommended 5 🌟 👍🏾“

“I was so excited to try Ata, the new Chef Dave Danielson‘s restaurant located right off of 264 and Brownsboro Road. Right away, we were greeted by the manager Cesar, who is always so welcoming and knows hospitality. We tried the brown butter washed old-fashioned. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was absolutely fantastic. What a great way to update this classic drink. I ordered the striped bass while my friend ordered the chicken. We couldn’t resist ordering the gnocchi to split between us, knowing we would have some leftovers. Let me tell you, every thing was simply delicious and well thought out with all the different taste elements in perfect harmony. Trust me, the leftovers that we had did not go to waste. The gnocchi is one of the best I’ve ever tried, so light and fluffy with a delicious sauce. Everything was seasoned to perfection and cooked exactly how it should be. The server was very attentive, but gave us time in between courses to chat and have a true fine dining experience! I would highly recommend to anyone who loves good food, and a plus, the prices were very reasonable.“

“Very good place to go for a good meal. Take a jacket or sweater if you are cold nature like me, reason I was cold but I had two cups of coffee.
I will be back love the place.
Just a hint I noticed outside dining maybe consider making it screened in. The Pork Loin, Prime rib, Salmon, broccoli, smashed potatoes, baked potatoes. And our appetizer was the Mexico City Spinach Con Queso with tortilla chips.

“The "atmosphere" is fine... The tables and chairs look and feel like they belong in an 80s pizzeria, and are showing the wear and tear of being older, outdated, and not the best. And if that makes you not want to eat here, you are a damaged person... This food is amazing. As in, making a good run for best burgers in the city amazing. The prices are reasonable, the selection has something for everybody, and the staff are wonderful. But... My friend, Bro, Dude, Bruh... The food... This is 'why didn't anybody tell me it was this good' level. This is 'why did I wait so long to try it' level. If you haven't been here for the food, you are failing at life“

“Really enjoyed our visits at the bar here. Mike was an excellent bar tender, and went above and beyond. He also has a great personality, and we really enjoyed talking to him! Bourbon selection was excellent, and Mike went the extra time to make our bourbon sipping very enjoyable. Our light bites were decent, though not anything to write home about. I would continue to come back for the atmosphere, bar selection, and for Mike!“

“This place is a 10/10! The atmosphere and staff were AMAZING!! We came to Louisville for the day to find my wedding dress. After I said yes to the dress we decided to try Mussel and Burger Bar! They made my day 1000x extra special, took care of my food and drinks, and even gave me a platter of desserts to try! We are coming back to Louisville for my bachelorette and we will definitely be visiting this place again! The seafood burger was also delicious!“

“Highly recommend this iconic place! We celebrated our anniversary last night and had a wonderful time. Great food and service! I had the chicken and my husband had the pork chops both delicious. The drinks were made well and our dessert was the flourless chocolate blood orange cake. The evening was perfect!“

“Bourbons Bistro has long been a favorite, and we had another great experience. It was date night, and we started with drinks at the bar. I enjoyed a Manhattan, and my date enjoyed an Old Fashioned. Both were nicely crafted. We were seated immediately at our table for our reservation time, and started with the goat cheese dip. It was flavorful, the consistency of the dip was perfect, and the toasted bread was done just right. For dinner I had the filet of beef, medium rare. My steak was cooked to perfection, and the fingerling potatoes were seasoned just right. My date enjoyed the Bourbons Chop, also cooked to perfection, and he stated the haricots verts was the best he ever had. Our server was great, and we enjoyed an amazing meal. Afterwards we moved back to the bar and enjoyed a couple of drinks provided by the Blue Run distiller bar take over. We had a great night out and Bourbons remains one of my favorite restaurants.“

“We took our out of town guests yesterday. Our server Jessica was amazing! She really made our night! (If you are reading this Jessica, y’all/yins did a great job! Lol.) Everyone loved their cocktails. The pork chop was very tasty and perfectly cooked, loved the shrimp and grits… so flavorful! The salmon was also delicious! We had the cheese and hummus plate as a starter and I was not a fan. The hummus was gummy and had an odd flavor. The rest of our group didn’t mind it. I could have had the bruschetta as my meal… yum! For dessert we had the bread pudding and asked to have some bourbon to pour on top (so good!), the lava cake (wow) and the brûlée (coffee flavored and very nice). We were the last to leave and Jessica and the rest of the staff treated us if we had all the time in the world. We so appreciated that! Our experience was so special! Thank you!“

“We love River House....This visit was lackluster simply because of service. The waiter, although a very pleasant man, was either overworked with all the other tables or simply inattentive. The drinks were tasty. Old Fashion, Figs Old Fashion, Manhattans...all very good. The oysters were very disappointing in their size for price value, but they were good. The steak and seafood entrees were very good. Always top notch. The desserts were not stellar. They were simply without the normal wow flavor. We shared the banana bread pudding and peanut butter cheesecake.“

Copper & Kings Distillery absolutely delivered! My wife Kathy and I visited back in December and had an awesome tour, tasting, and left with some great finds from the gift shop.

We loved it so much, we came all the way back from St. Louis just to stop in again. Picked up some tasty libations and a T-shirt—and the staff really took care of us. Friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. They made us feel like we were part of the Copper & Kings family. Take the tour!

“We visited here for a birthday party earlier today. The girl who waited on us was named Kaylee. She was fantastic. However there were 30+ of us and she was running the show alone. The kitchen mixed up our food and we had missing food. She was running 95% of the food to us and got ALL of our drinks by herself. She was the only server assigned to us and she did ALL the work. As a server myself for 10+ years that's absolutely ridiculous. I've always shared a party that large with another server and if for some reason I was on my own my coworkers helped me with drinks and helped run food. She had no team players except ONE time a young lady helped by bringing two appetizers to the table. A manager should always come see how service and food is before the party leaves and we didn't see a manager for the 3 hours we were there. Thank you to Kaylee for handling the party on her own, you were fantastic ma'am.“

“You guys are killing the game! I stop in every monday close to noon and you guys have yet to dissatisfy me in the slightest. The food is great timing is great on carryout orders I make. Service is outstanding. I’m proud of you guys.

“We went here Saturday night visiting from Nashville. Seemed like the best views. We sat at the bar and Sam served us. He was fantastic. The crab tartar was ok. Unfortunately, the entrees weren't very flavorful. We were all a little disappointed in the taste and felt it was a little overpriced for the flavor being so bland. (We ordered avocado toast and the farmhouse biscuit).“

“I liked it! A bit pricey for some items, but spot on for others. I had the fish special which was an interesting salmon dish. $28 and worth it! My husband had the burger $17. Not a good choice. We had the appetizer skewers $13 which were delicious and the chocolate tahini cake $11 which really surprised us flavor wise. We did not leave feeling overly full which is good since we were there for the show.I highly recommend it for one more reason. Location. It makes getting to the theatre so much easier!!!“

“Great place for events/parties. The tour guide was funny and informative. As a bourbon drinker, I was surprised how much their brandy tasted like bourbon! 10 out of 10, I would definitely go back!
