“I’ve been coming here for a couple years. It is a gem of a place. You cannot find better food for this price downtown or anywhere else in general. Every member of the team there is very friendly and has nailed customer service. Today I was inspired to write this review because I saw the chef making some French toast. “I was just bragging about my Wednesday evenings at Jeff Ruby's while working in downtown Cincinnati for 2 years. We were so spoiled! We were eating the ultimate steaks and I do mean the best we've ever had steaks, sushi, cocktails and truly wicked awesome service, and last but not least, the Ambience was superb. “I can’t say enough good things about Chaske and the whole Brown Bear team. Their cinnamon rolls are the best on the planet, and therefore are mine and my (now) husband’s favorite dessert. So when we got engaged and started planning our wedding, we were both crossing our fingers to be able to have Brown Bear cinnamon rolls for our guests — and Chaske made our dreams come true!! The cinnamon rolls were such a hit, and we were delighted to have our favorite dessert for our special day. I can’t thank this team enough for making the magic happen. What a breath of fresh air. The hummus was the perfect consistency, and the mussels were divine. Our server, I think his name was John, was a treasure. Kudos to Abigail Street for restoring our faith in Cincinnati restaurants.“

“Taj Mahal has the best flavor on their chicken tikka masala in the tri-state area. Order the 2nd hottest heat level and you will be so happy. It is just the right amount of heat, but more importantly the DEPTH of the spices is very flavorful and savory. Many places in the area just throw in more chili powder at the higher heat levels. Taj Mahal adds more heat as well as anuthentic Indian spices. 10/10 😁“

“My wife and I frequent Maplewood on the weekends for brunch. There are many options in downtown/OTR/northern Kentucky for breakfast on the weekends, but Maplewood is our favorite. The menu has a nice variety of American breakfast options, as well as healthier alternatives. We love the Guajillo Bowl and Mediterranean Bowl, but the Maplewood Hash is also delicious if you are in the mood for something a little heavier. The GM, Erik, often recognizes us and welcomes us back. Erik and his staff always do a great job with service, and mitigating the crowded weekend mornings. Bring back the Chicken Tiga!!! Note: It's first come, first serve seating and you are supposed to wait in line and order before being seated. However entitled guests sometimes circumvent the line and save tables for the rest of their party waiting at the back of the line, whom have yet to order. This often throws off the flow of available tables, because the people whom waited in line and just ordered, now do not have a table. It can get busy here on weekends, but if you go, don't be one of these people, please wait in line like everyone else. The line moves quickly and the staff turns over the tables quickly as well. The couple of times this has happened to us, the staff promptly sat us at the bar and gave us a discount on our breakfast.“

“The Capital Grille was fabulous. From arrival to leaving, they provided exceptional service. Upon arrival, they greeted us with a smile, and there was no wait. The table was ready and they even accommodated our large party with a few unexpected people.
The waiter Paoblo was amazing. He provided us with all the chef's specials and provided a detailed review of the menu.
He was very attentive to our needs. The manager on duty was very professional and pleasant and ensured we were taken care of. As we celebrated three birthdays, it was a pleasant and memorable evening.

“Emillie was a great server! Let's start with the great things. We did apps and sides. Dumplings were so good but broth was phenomenal !!! Burrata and tomato jam was basically an amazing caprese, sooo good. We also had truffle mushrooms which we added to dumpling broth, YUM! and also had the perfect broccoli with just an ok aioli. Was unimpressed with crab avocado toast, not worth the expense. Have had a a lot of crab food options s and this underwhelmed. My husband is a brownie sundae officianato and he seriously loved the s'more brownie dessert. Overall, great food and sat outside away from a noisy interior on a Friday night.“

“I’ve been here a couple times and absolutely loved it. It’s a good place to get a hearty breakfast and a good cup of coffee. The food is good, the service is outstanding and despite the place being a bit cramped at time it’s cozy. I particularly recommend this one thing I had that I think was called the Flying Pig. It was ham and swiss on french toast, and while that sounds weird it was absolutely delicious. Definitely check this place out if you can.“

“I was in town and Agave & Rye was recommended to me. I stopped in on 9/10/22 talked with Emma the hostess and explained I was having a few friends to stop by not sure how many between five and ten. She accommodated me at the high rise table back by the windows which was perfect for my nine guest. Sarah was our excellent server, she continually checked in on us even thou I saw her working outside as well. Our drinks were awesome and our food was really good. Next time I am in town I will definitely return here.“

They artfully take photos of each drink and post them on their Instagram page. The photos look like something out of a foodie blog or magazine. A few of my favorite specials have been the chocolate covered potato chip iced latte & the cherry cordial iced latte.“

The muffins look tasty, but they are even better than they look. They are the kind of good that if you think of them you might find yourself traveling long distances to go get one. “Sake Bomb is a great little Asian Restaurant/Sushi Bar in Erlanger. We've been here a few times but it had been quite a while. They have quite a lot Asian dishes but on this occasion we focused exclusively on the Sushi. Among the one's we had were the Sunday Morning (my personal favourite), fire scallop, and the firecracker among others. They are all visually appealing and absolutely delicious. The chef really took a lot of care crafting flavours into every bite. I really can't recommend their Sushi highly enough. Also I know I mentioned this in earlier reviews but the restaurant looks so magnificent and really authentic to Japanese culture. The seating is very close quarters so I must mention that as it might be off-putting to some. All in all the Sushi was excellent, the service was good, and the place looked awesome. Fantastic experience.“

“I really appreciate the message BLOC stands for and the positive impact they have on Price Hill. However, my main issue is the slow service. It often takes far too long to get a simple (and pricey) cold brew coffee. If you're looking for a quick stop for a $6 coffee, this isn't the place.

This business could really benefit from offering carryout or call-ahead options. I often find myself driving past BLOC and grabbing carryout from Starbucks instead, just because I know I can get in and out quickly. While high volume may not be the goal for this business, I would love to support them more—if only the speed of service were faster.“
