“Great family dinner last night at location off Blankenbaker in Louisville.“

“The food is perfect! The breakfast platter is amazing.“

“Brought my son and his friend here to kill some time and let them have some fun. I had told the bartender (Katie) that I would let her know when we were done bc we were sitting outside but I didn’t want our stuff thrown away. We went to play and came back to our table being cleaned off. I let the server know we weren’t finished. She apologized and Katie remade our drinks and had a fresh batch of shrimp tacos made even though he only had one left. Not one employee we encountered had a bad attitude. They all seemed genuinely happy to be working even if they were stuck inside on this beautiful day. Thank you to this entire staff for giving me and the boys a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!!!“

“Smokey Bones is an oldie but goodie. Haven't been to one in a decade cuz didn't have one nearby. The mini nacho app was delicious and presented nicely. Chips were standing up. Looked like they had yummy cocktails but we didn't have any. We ordered the "grill" meal. It's literally served on a small grill that has charcoal in it and smoking. So cool. Had bbq ribs, chicken wings, grilled chicken, saisafe and steak. Small pieces. Nice to share! Also had wedge potatoes, peppers and onions. In the middle of grill was bowl of delicious sauce (not one of 4 found on table). Good value for that. Waitress was perfunctory not overly friendly. Nice and neat inside“

“Definitely a place to enjoy a good game, the staff are always friendly and willing to help you choose something you may want to try, they’ve started these game nights which are awesome!!! The staff do take request if it’s a slow game day. The managing staff are always ready to take care anything you may need. It’s one of my top go to’s!“

“We come to Louisville once a year and ALWAYS make a reservation here! It is our favorite. We have been doing this for over 10 years and I am always excited to go here. My favorite is the Shrimp and Grits and other people have raved about the Pork Chop and steak. I do not think there is a bad choice here. I have never once not had a great meal! Our service has always been wonderful as well, yet this year it was lackluster. One time out of 10 is just a fluke this year i am sure.“

“We took our out of town guests yesterday. Our server Jessica was amazing! She really made our night! (If you are reading this Jessica, y’all/yins did a great job! Lol.) Everyone loved their cocktails. The pork chop was very tasty and perfectly cooked, loved the shrimp and grits… so flavorful! The salmon was also delicious! We had the cheese and hummus plate as a starter and I was not a fan. The hummus was gummy and had an odd flavor. The rest of our group didn’t mind it. I could have had the bruschetta as my meal… yum! For dessert we had the bread pudding and asked to have some bourbon to pour on top (so good!), the lava cake (wow) and the brûlée (coffee flavored and very nice). We were the last to leave and Jessica and the rest of the staff treated us if we had all the time in the world. We so appreciated that! Our experience was so special! Thank you!“

Olivia was sweet and helpful and just over all a very good server. she is an asset to the restaurant. we had the chicken sandwich, the fish tacos and the Buffalo mac and cheese. it was served quickly and was very good. we finished it off with a cookie and ice cream. it was all so good. such a good meal, we will absolutely be back. highly recommend this place.“

“Small eating area but that doesn’t matter to me. The food is delicious! I had the fresh crab cakes, fresh Brussels sprouts…omg amazing. I didn’t have room to eat the fresh asparagus and I ordered a California cobb salad with jumbo shrimp and fresh lobster claw meat with avocado which I will have for lunch tomorrow. I placed my order online late last night when I read about the fresh crab and scheduled to pick it up at 4 today. He cooked it all right there in front of me, everything fresh and tasty. WTH? $5..That would be a NO...1st of all the manager should have let it go and just tell me thar next time there will be a $5 upcharge and the $3 stands...2nd the server was embarrassed 3rd NO ONE came around to ask us how our food was...just SAD...honestly I am still PISSED about it and will NOT BE GOING BACK...comping $2 was not going to kill the manager. Beer is cold and many varieties on tap and in bottles, I have never been disappointed with my food choice and have tried almost everything on the menu. We held my wife's retirement party of here and Erik was beyond accommodating. While it lacked the familiar soft serve texture, the custard was undeniably rich and sweet with excellent flavor. However, Planters still reigns as my gold standard in the world of frozen custard.
