“Good food, good service, good atmosphere, and good prices. That pretty much sums it up. We have come here twice and the dining room is always nice and clean. I bet this place is awesome on game nights. They have several large screen televisions that are easily viewable from pretty much anywhere you are seated. Great place!“
“We went for lunch on a Sunday. Not crowded at all, very clean. Server was extremely nice. Food was also very good. Free chips and salsa, chips were very big. Salsa was okay, not hot version given with chips. Our appetizer, Choriqueso was a bit thin. Birria tacos were very good. The best? Not sure, but we are also from Chicago area. Definitely worth the visit. Prices are good too.“
“One of my favorite new places, Food delicious, good portions, reasonably priced, love the Salsa and I love they give you the jalapeño ranch dip as well. They have lunch and happy hour on Saturdays! That’s awesome! I have already ate here twice this week.“
“Every time I go in here the food is just incredible. The cheese is excellent. And the food always seasoned perfectly! Def a must try in Lexington for avid Mexican food lovers! I did a special order a chicken steak shrimp Bandido on the spot !“
“If I was on death row I would get this food for my last meal. The huitlacoche is amazing, rich, and flavorful. Everything down to the corn tortillas are juicy and fresh. This food's so good it got me pregnant. This food got me feeling like the critic from ratatouille. This food send me to flavortown. Highly “
“The best Mexican food in Lexington. Affordable prices and large portions; I regularly eat here for the burritos and Chicharrones that are made fresh. They also make the tortillas right there so you know they are fresh. No store bought tortillas.“
“Please, Please, Please! Do yourself a favor and go support this man and his little taco truck at the State Farm parking lot in Nicholasville Rd but the Baptist Clinic. I mean this with full sincerity when I say these are some of the most flavorful food I have ever had. Taqueria Ramirez was my go to when I ever need a taco, but after discovering this little food truck. I am making the switch. I have tried a variety of proteins on the tacos and none missed. I could nit-pick and say the elote cups are a bit too saucy but oh, so delicious. I can't wait to try more items. The owner of the little food truck is delightful, polite and friendly. After coming a few times remembered me which is always a plus. The truck is there during the evening, so it's a great place for a quick dinner, prices are fairly cheap as well. It is a food truck so if you don't enjoy being seated outside, then that could be a knock but again its a food truck so you should know what you are getting into. AGAIN, PLEASE give it a try, genuinely fantastic food.“
“I have found my new favorite resturante in lex charro where have you been all my life .Tacos de lomoPork belly tacosSteak ranchero cheesedipThe guacamole fresh. I’m extremely happy with the food the taste the service..I will be back for sure ooo did I mention the SKINNY MARGARITA…“
“Birria Tacos. Definitely eat the birria tacos. I even drank the broth that came with the meal. Expect to use all of your napkins, which isn't a bad thing! Heck, the chips are good too! Just eat here if you want a different experience with Mexican food.“
“This has got to be the best Mexican food I have ever had in the US! I'm an archaeologist and I lived in Mexico for three months this past summer - the food from this taco truck has the heart and soul of real Mexican cooking. It was super delicious, reasonably priced, and they had my favorite Mexican soda available as well. The service was top notch too - really fast, accurate, and the guys that were working both seemed so nice. The hot salsa is delicious and the spice level isn't kidding around! I definitely will be going back for several more visits!“
“I tried this place at the last moment since my first choice was closed. It looked rustic, yet nice from the outside. The food was decent but a bit pricey considering the portion.I have to admit that I wonder about food safety. On at least two tables (including mine), there were bottles of mayo upside down next to the ketchup, mustard, and other condiments. Apparently they didn't get the memo that mayo needs to be refridgerated.I was also disappointed that they didn't have fountain drinks. Rather, we had to order bottles of soda to go with the meal. The waitress seemed friendly enough (though she did mess up part of our order).I can't say it was a bad experience, but there are too many better Mexican places in town for me to return to this one. It was fine, but pricey and limited. Best of luck to them!!“
“I've been told by my friends from Ohio that Skyline is a must try, and as a Texan, that's always made me nervous. However, I tried it today, and it was not as weird as the ingredients would make you think. The habanero cheese was delicious, and the service at this particular establishment was great.“
“Authentic Mexican Delights Right Outside Your Doorstep!During my stay at the nearby hotel, I stumbled upon this Mexican restaurant conveniently located just across the street. With hunger beckoning, I decided to give it a try for lunch, and I'm glad I did!The experience was nothing short of delightful, with the flavors of Mexico coming alive in every dish. From the moment I stepped inside, I could sense the authenticity in the air.The menu offered a range of traditional Mexican fare, each dish prepared with care and attention to detail. From the rich spices to the vibrant colors, every bite was a journey through the heart of Mexico.Whether you're craving classic tacos, hearty enchiladas, or sizzling fajitas, this place has it all. The flavors are bold, the portions generous, and the prices reasonable - a winning combination in my book.If you find yourself in need of a delicious and satisfying meal while staying at the nearby hotel, look no further than this hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant. Your taste buds will thank you!“
“My first time there. I will return. The food was really good. The service was wonderful. A very nice very clean place. I know it isn't something everyone cares about, but, their iced tea was great! And our server kept my glass full at all times!“
“It doesn’t get more authentic than this.Friendly and fast service. I had the asada Torta and it was really good. I appreciate the salsa verde in a squeeze bottle too.You won’t be disappointed stopping in here if you’re in the mood for Mexican.“
“Three of us here for lunch. The place was decorated festively and ready for Valentine's Day. Each table had fresh flowers. From the lunch menu, We had a taco salad, that was large with grilled onions and peppers. I had a chimichanga with rice and beans it was covered with cheese sauce. The food was delicious and good size lunch portions. They have a happy hour.“
“this place is absolutely amazing i have been coming here recently and always a good experience. They have never got my order wrong i’ve always been treated with caring love. This place is an underground jackpot(not many people know about it).“
“Delicious tacos and so many options to choose from and try! The tacos were very flavorful and fresh! The salsa verde they serve on the side with the tacos is excellent as well! The service was very friendly and despite being behind a marathon gas station the ambiance is really great! Excited to come back again soon!“
“There is no other place in town where you can eat good Mexican food and drink Margaritas while listening to a live Irish band play all sorts of great music. Always makes for a wonderful night, we go regularly. The servers are all very happy and it's our home spot. Thankful for such a great place with great people!“
“probs one of the best Mangoneadas i had in the Lexington area; i only tried 3 places !! (ikr- ONLY???) lol but i was on a trip and was eating all the foods i don't see near cleveland area!!! anyways, it wasn't too busy during the day time and they have a lot of different snacks and abarrotes to choose from! dori locos biónicos chocomiles nachos vampiros fresas con crema“
“My partner and I just moved to this side of town and have eaten here a few times, everyone is incredibly friendly, the food has always been good and as far as wait time, seems pretty normal. I get the chicken chimichanga every single time cause it’s so dang good!! Highly recommend!“
“My favorite real authentic Mexican food. The family that's own the restaurant are very nice people and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. You can eat in and watch Spanish tv or take home. I speak little Spanish so hubby whom is Mexican always orders for me the best meals ever.“
“Manage expectations. It is a tiny trailer in a parking lot with a couple folding tables but man the food is good! Absolutely delicious tacos and quesadillas! The hot sauce has serious bite too! The man who took the order was very nice and had a constant smile!“
“the food was great definitely be back. the tacos were small so ill try the bigger ones next time I wasn't aware it was two sizesThe food was great we will definitely return. the tacos were small so I'll try the bigger ones next time I wasn't aware“
“This is the best taco stand in town. There tacos are very flavorful and delicious. The soup they have in the winter time is amazing. I would recommend you have to try you will want more and more. Mr. And Miss hernandez are very friendly and polite to people and they take very good care of there customers. They keep there truck extremely clean and have the best tacos in town!!!!!!!!!“
“This is a very unusual and delightful mexican restaurant. Its emphasis is on ice cream and desserts with coffee but it also has an unusual luncheon menu, with items that you don't normally see on other mexican restaurant menus. Ingredients were high quality. One thing: the chef serves the dishes with very mild to no heat. If you want spicy, ask for it.“
“The hard tacos were excellent. The beef was not soggy like other fast food taco places. Their serving size of meat was generous and well seasoned.Parking: Plenty of spacesWheelchair accessibility: One level easy to access from parking lot into restaurant.“
“What an awesome find! We decided to stop at Liam's upon arriving into LEX, based on Google reviews. We were not disappointed!! If you're looking for tablecloths and full service restaurant, Liam's is not for you. Our food was served on "real" tableware, however! If you're looking for great, authentic food and friendly/helpful staff, you're at the right place!!! It's inside a convenience store where you can purchase a drink if you choose and bring it over. Would definitely stop again when in the area!!“
“Great place with amazing food and staff.Dietary restrictions: Was very understanding of my dietary restrictions and worked with my order and adjusted pricing to reflect the change.Parking: Parking is all right outside the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room to navigate to a table“
“I ordered a veggie burrito and it was delicious and it is huge! My leftovers were equally as good . The free chips (homemade) and salsa were delicious. Finished off with a Mexican cola!Looking forward to my next visit.Service was great and welcoming very family oriented.Great value for the money!Vegetarian options: Veggie Burrito is my fave!“
“Delicious tacos for $3 each! Yes, the prices are on the menu. Yes, the server spoke enough English to take my order. Although, if I'm ordering Mexican food, it wouldn't hurt to know a little Spanish, right? Sesame Street can help you out with that one. Or you could just point to the pictures on the menu. The descriptions are in English. Anyway, the food was really good. I like the generous portion of onions and jalapeno. I didn't care for the sauces, but that was just personal preference. I will be back!“
“Al pastor tacos feature fresh pineapple, just like they should. Salsa bar is a nice touch, but everything burns your pasty white mouth. Rinse with Agua Fresca, Gringo!Wheelchair accessibility: It's going to be a challenge due to the small interior space. Doors, and ramps allow access, though. Cramped quarters will be the most significant issue.“
“This place is amazing. Steak Tacos are a must. Btw I like the cheese sprinkled on to and not melting, as other comment mentioned. Seasoned so well, no sauce is necessary. Also Churro is the best I've had. Soft inside, crunchy outside, awesome sauce drizzled all over it ? chocolate but white Leche sauce is the BEST part. That makes it unique! & they add sprinkles & Whipped cream, makes it look pretty ? hot choc is great. Horchata was great. Love the bottle coke. Those bring back memories.“
“I was surprised they only do tacos and quesadillas but we ordered a few of both and they were good. Maybe they were out of other ingredients by the time we got there. They were nothing too special. Not the best we've had from a taco truck but if we are on that side of town I'd order from them again.“
“This absolutely my favorite taco truck! The chorizo tacos are amazing! My favorite tacos are typically tripa but their chorizo is great! My family also loves the Birria burritos and the elotes! And their tortillas and salsas are the best I've had, and I grew up on the backside of the racetracks on authentic Mexican. This place is childhood memories! Hands down recommend“
“Ordered in the restaurant for take out. Service was good, restaurant was clean, people were dining inside.Fish tacos were great. The beef taco leaves alittle to be desired. I think you need a better quality beef.Prices are good, will be back“
“Best tamales that we’ve ever had. Highly recommend. The verde sauce is great too. We tried the chicken, pork, and beef tamales. The beef were made fresh for us and were the favorite. Pico de gallo was also great. Superior service. Definitely found our go-to place for Mexican food.“
“Food is very good, the proportions are good, some of the staff do speak English, if they notice that your not Hispanic. But don't be surprised if they speak in Spanish 1st LOL. One of our favorite Mexican restaurants. I recommend eating here at least once to try it out, they do get busy on the weekends“
“Not sure the managers name, but I placed a to go order in person , he took it for me be they were busy and he was the best. They say lead by example and if every employee treated customers the way he did everyone would have an amazing dining experience! Sorry I didn't catch your name but thank you for the amazing service ! Even helped wall me to my car and helped carry the extra bag!“
“We love Pepe’s!!! This place is top tier every time we come. My husband and I have been coming for a couple years now and they consistently have great food, extremely kind staff, and quick and friendly service! Always consistent, clean, and great prices. 5 stars across the board, one of the best Mexican restaurants in Lexington!“
“This place is amazing. It's possibly the best food I've ever had in my life. The rice is banging. The salsa is fire. Everything tastes WAY better here than literally anywhere else. I've never had so much flavor in food in all my life and I've been trying everyone's Birria. Once a week I try a new one and now I can't get it anywhere but here because there's was hands down the best. The Birria was perfect and the cheese was on the bottom allowing for a nice cheese pull but it also didn't smother the Birria like when they put it on top. The consume was also top notch.Thank you to everyone who prepares food and keeps this place running because you're appreciated for what you do. I never finish my food and I ate every single thing. I also didn't realize I was even getting chips/salsa and rice and beans so it was a delightful surprise. Thank you!!I don't see a way to add photos sadly (usually it lets you) but that's okay. Presentation was nice too, I liked the cucumbers and how they were prepared. Thanks again!“
“The food is good, it tastes fresh. But the tables are dirty, they need a good wash, beyond just wiping them down. The attention is "poor" that lady seems to be always angry. Have someone nice attend to it. Someone who greets, who smiles!!!“
“The food was really good and authentic, the issue why I didn't give it 5 stars was simply because they promote a lunch buffet which was $12.99 not a bad price however they don't keep it full or anywhere close to it, there were only like 2 items besides rice and beans and everything else was empty. I was there at least an hour before the buffet was over and they only refilled one main dish, I really wanted to love it but with drink and tip costing $20 I'll pass until they can keep the buffet full.“
“Ordered the Street Tacos with chicken and loved them. They have their truck at the Lexington Soccer SC matches at Georgetown College's Toyota Stadium. Very nice gentlemen.I think the two different hot sauces that come with the tacos are really good—fresh and full of flavor. Definitely try both on your taco with a squeeze of the lime.I would say that they could serve the food a lot hotter. The meat on my tacos was a bit room temperature, though, I definitely did NOT get sick or anything.Cost me not a lot for the three tacos and a Diet Coke bottle--like $12.“
“The local paper recently ranked the top Mexican restaurants in Lexington. Mi Pequena didn't make the top 30. My fiancé and I were shocked. This has to be in the top 3.The rankings were based on yelp reviews, so I had to chime in with a 5 star.Excellent food and great margaritas!“
“***CASH ONLY*** After reading the two previous reviews raving about this "hole-in-the-wall" Latin American food, I had to try it! This was amazing authentic food and my husband said the nachos are the best he has had in Kentucky! The chips were hot and incredibly fresh, small batch. Just know it is cash only and mainly Spanish speaking, I know a bit of Spanish but had no trouble communicating or reading menu.“
“A very enjoyable atmosphere! It's better so much better than the one on Nicholasville Rd.Parking: You never have to worry about parking. Those in tow will find parking. There's a big parking area across the street that a semi can park at.Kid-friendliness: That MIGHT have hats for the kids. Kid menu.Wheelchair accessibility: 2 wheelchair accesses.“
“It was a great welcoming atmosphere and the food was good Very flavorful we did have to wait awhile for service I don't think they had too many servers that spoke english however we were entertained and included in on the event that was going on (karaoke and tequila shots ?) so we didn't mind the wait. I would definitely recommend this family style restaurant especially if you're on a budget“
“Came here during my lunch break and they didn’t disappoint. Fast and attentive service and the food was amazing! I was recommended by the owner to try the Fajita Tacos and it was delicious! I’ll be coming here during my lunch breaks more often. Definitely try the Chicken Fajita Tacos like I did you won’t regret it :)“
“This is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The food is fresh and delicious. The chips are homemade and I can’t stop eating them. The staff are the nicest and most attentive of anywhere I have been. They also make fantastic margaritas! Love this place!“
