One of the best tasting food menus for an airport that are out there. Amazing cocktails with a good pour. Nicely decorated and wasn’t busy. Waitress/bartender was awesome. Stop here before you go through TSA there’s not much available once you’re through.
Quaint little restaurant with an atmosphere to give a traveler a true restaurant break. As to the food my white bean chili soup had a slight spice kick that was just right. As to my Chicken, Bacon & Swiss Sandwich I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Normally, I detest chicken breast because it is dry, stringy and lacks flavor. After a canceled and rescheduled flight (which was delayed 4 hours), Tracy at Book and Bourbon Southern Kitchen at Louisville’s airport took care of me for the duration of my delays!! The food was delicious (BOTH meals in this delay)!! Highly recommend.

Book & Bourbon Southern Kitchen - Louisville Airport is a convenient spot just outside security, known for its friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. Billie Jo provides top-notch service and conversation, making the experience memorable. The food is impressive, tasting homemade, especially the fries with yummy bourbon sauce. The burger is surprisingly great—crisp with fresh veggies and hardly any grease—and was one of the best in Louisville, especially since staff kindly cut it in half for sharing. The chicken & waffles exceeded expectations, offering a tasty meal that’s worth the slightly higher airport prices. Overall, it is a clean and well-maintained restaurant with excellent food and attentive service, making it a good choice for travelers.
