“Great specials. Was able to try bourbons I would have never thought to try. People were friendly, staff was knowledgeable. Drinks were awesome.Parking: Arrived just after 8PM and there was plenty of street parking, but when I left there were no spots available.“
“This was our last tour on Kentucky weekend. We did it on Sunday and the first option was at 1pm due to local ordinances. Our guide (forgot his name) was amazing, very knowledge, passionate and extremely proud of his city. I recall he was a retired firefighter with Louisville Fire Department and he even had personal stories as a child with that building and later on as a firefighter when the building was about to collapse before being rescued. Even his passion for Louisville tap water was contagious. The tour was great, the selection offered and the tasting guide was amazing. Loved how the offered a higher proof rye for comparison purposes that was actually not available for sale, and how to wiskies bottled su the same proof but one barreled at a lower proof and the other proofed before bottling were so different. Highly recommended! My only recommendation is to offer some sort of priority access to the bat for tour customers or ask at the beginning of you want to go to the bar later and get a reservation of some sort. We wanted to go to the bar but it was already full and waiting time was 30-45 minutes which we couldn't afford as we had other commitments.“
“Ami was great leading us through the blending process to find the right flavor profile. Felt like I was in adult chemistry class making slight adjustments! Found my recipe and enjoyed it so much I blught 2 bottles with my own private label. Unique bourbon experience and highly recommend for any bourbon enthusiast.“
“What a wonderful bar to visit while we were visiting. They have a ridiculous number of bourbons to try at very reasonable prices. The other cocktails were also reasonably priced. I loved all the messages of inclusivity in the bar. Why don't we have bars like this in South Florida?“
“On my trip to Louisville, I spent waaay too much time at Michter's both standing outside in line and in the brewery and upstairs pub. Let me just stay that the staff here is amazing and really made our visits a delight. We were intent on doing the BYO experience here, so we arrived at 9:00 am to get a good spot in line on our first day. Unfortunately the times didn't work out with our schedule the first day, but we made it work the following day. The tour was great and Jim our tour guide was super knowledgeable and passionate about the product. While we had a few members of our tour who indulged a bit too much earlier in the day, we still had a great time. The BYO was so fun and I can't wait to try the bourbon we bottled! The best part was pulling the lever and getting the bottle in such a cool box and custom label. We also tasted a flight of ryes in the upstairs pub, which was delightful and such a great way to end our day. If you are planning a Louisville visit, Micther's is a must do!“
“Owner bill is awesome, he took time to teach me about bourbon and what goes well with what. The selection at his bar is top notch. If you can’t find it to have a taste there, chances are it doesn’t exist. Soon as I go back, one of my first places to go to have a drink.“
“This was our first stop when we arrived late to Louisville. While their kitchen was closed we had the best time tasting bourbons with the guidance of their young bartender. He educated us on bourbon and made excellent recommendations! We had so much fun. Also recommended a late night fourth meal location that we walked too later. This bar has an extensive bourbon collection, great service, while we cannot comment on the food I am sure it's nothing short of amazing! Thanks for a wonderful experience.“
“Just off Bourbon row in downtown Louisville, KY but more personality. The owner gave us a personal touch and shared his recipe secrets. A local for some 35 years he can answer any question and point you in the right direction. Ask about live music and comedy shows on the weekend. Open late“
“This is still my favorite distillery tour. We first visited Angel's Envy in 2018 and have been back 3 times now. Each visit was a lot of fun, out tour leaders have all been excellent and the burboun and Rye continue to be among our top picks.“
“My partner and I came here after a meeting downtown and wanted a quiet, chill place to talk. This place was absolutely perfect! It had an amazing feel to it, vintage but not old. The fun and punny drink names were perfectly juxtaposed against how good and classy they tasted and were made. Everyone that was here seemed interesting and that made the ambiance that much better. Don’t like the outside fool you, do yourself a favor and stop in, pick a drink based on whatever song pun makes you groan the loudest, and get ready to watch the bartender make one of the best drinks you’ll have in downtown Louisville!“
“My husband and I cannot rave enough about our entire experience at Buck’s! Kris, the general manager, was incredibly welcoming. Natalie, our server, was very attentive. Our appetizers, entrees and dessert were fresh, flavorful and delicious! Next time we make it to Louisville, we will be dining here again!“
“We visited from out of town on 3/28 to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was perfect, beginning to end. We started at the bar where Bryce made delicious espresso martinis and Clayton and Clinton were quick with conversation. We were seated promptly at our reservation time in the terrace. Keith and Trang took excellent care of us. Mike, another server in the room, overheard me explaining what wine I was looking for and he chimed in with the perfect recommendation. Keith made fantastic recommendations for our food. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the creamed spinach was amazing! We finished it off with the best bread pudding I’ve ever had! I cannot recommend this place enough. The service was outstanding, food was incredible, and the atmosphere is inviting.“
“Got three burgers to split and share amongst the group. All were very good. The bacon cheeseburger was really good. Mushroom and Swiss was super juicy and made to perfection. the best one was the one with prime rib, adding the au ju elevated the burger even more than it already was. The Cajun fries were more on the salty side, so I would probably just go regular next time. Lucky milkshake made with vanilla instead of mint chocolate chip- super thin kinda milky without the vanilla ice cream texture but the chocolate whip cream was where it's at. Definitely would recommend if you are in the mood for a juicy burger.“
“I've taken a few friends to this speakeasy -- and it's been a wonderful experience every time. Tracy is a fantastic bartender, on top of it, who makes every interaction feel warm and personable. Natasha as well is quick and efficient, with such a kind smile. Each drink I've had has been tasty, and I've enjoyed each one. The ambiance is wonderful, and the live jazz is always on point. I'd recommend anyone go here--and I have recommended many go here!“
“First of all if you are here for breakfast don't pass on the biscuit basket. Light, fluffy, crispy and buttery. Our classic breakfasts were perfect! Excellent gravy! The hashbrown casserole was delicious! What a fun place! It's an old firehouse. The stack of LP's in the corner were rotated through on the record player and kept us thinking of Marty Robbins. Staff were funny and attentive. Decently priced. Will definitely come back for lunch or dinner.“
“First time at this bar and my family and I loved it so much! We went early November. Victoria, our server, was the nicest server ever. I am somewhat particular with my drinks, and I didn't really like the first drink I got (dirty martini, light brine with onion) so Victoria happily suggested I talk to the bartender after the bartender said I may not like The Calling Card based on my preferences. I talked to the bartender who was also SO KIND AND PATIENT and we finally landed on a gimlet and it was delish! I believe I ended up ordering three. Everyone that we encountered was so nice, it was the best customer service! Looking forward to going back!“
“We stayed in the hotel and went there on Saturday night for a nightcap after a party and UK basketball game viewing. We sat at the bar and both bartenders were super friendly and could make any drink you wanted. Their bourbon list was huge. If you want to taste high end bourbons, this is your place. They also had a large, more normal bourbon menu which we ordered from. My wife had an Old Fashion, two actually. She said they were the best she had ever had. We had two appetizers. The bourbon, beer pretzel (huge!) and the hummus plate. The beer cheese was really good. The hummus plate was great with pita bread and lots of veggies. All of them had honey lightly drizzled on them. Unique twist and really good. If we get to stay at the hotel again, we would definitely go back there. It's on the Urban Bourbon Trail, we learned.“
“Every part of our evening was great. The bison burger was the best burger I’ve ever had, perfect amount of juicy and flavorful. The service was also fantastic. Our waiter Jordan was very helpful and made our anniversary dinner and our friends’ engagement memorable.“
“we recently ate at Steak and Bourbon for my 66th birthday. lovely atmosphere. good service. however, my husband ordered a $50 steak (NY Strip) which was less than stellar. he ate it until the last 4c bites were un-chewable due to the gristle. he mentioned it to the server as she cleared our dishes. she meekly apologized and left us our bill with a 20% tip. no manager to address the issue and no discount on an expensive cut of meat. we ate generous in our tipping, but we were slightly offended that 20%was decided for us. the gristle and the 20% both left a bad taste in our mouth. we won't be visiting again.“
“Oh the tacos. These gems are but one reason to visit Merle's. (Try the green chilli btw and you can thank me later.). The beer selection is pretty meek, but the live entertainment really adds to the scene, unless you are right near the stage. Open windows make the atmosphere lively. A great place to go before a concert at Yum Center. Highly recommend.“
“Visiting from out of town, we’ve been here twice and both times the food, service, drinks and atmosphere were delightful. The menu had changed since the last time we were here a year ago but the food was still really good. Kind of a hidden gem. ?“
“This place was fantastic!! The service and hospitality were top notch. The selections of wine and bourbon were great! It was hard to leave without spending a small fortune. You can have a drink and try some options before purchasing. Very reasonably priced offerings, to very expensive offerings. Something for everyone!“
