We originally placed an order through DoorDash, but the driver canceled and claimed the restaurant was closed. To our surprise, the owner personally called to apologize and made sure our order was completed. That level of care and commitment to customers is something you rarely see. My boyfriend went to pick up the food, and the owner went above and beyond—he even gave us two personal cheesecakes as an apology! And despite the fact that DoorDash had already canceled and refunded our order, the owner wouldn’t let us pay. He said he would handle the issue with DoorDash himself. The next day, I even called to check because we wanted to come in and pay if DoorDash hadn’t resolved it, and the owner reassured me he was taking care of everything. That kind of generosity and customer-first attitude is absolutely incredible. When he got home with the order, it was just as impressive as the service. We ordered the breadsticks, the combo pizza, and the Cup N’ Char pepperoni pizza. Everything looked and smelled amazing, and the taste was even better than we imagined. The breadsticks were perfectly seasoned, garlicky, and soft, the combo pizza was loaded with fresh toppings, and the Cup N’ Char pepperoni had that crispy, flavorful edge that makes even more delicious. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in what they serve. The flavor and quality alone make this restaurant worth every cent, but when you add the outstanding customer service we received, it’s clear they truly care about their customers. When I got my order the dasher took a BITE of my boyfriend’s personal pan pizza, took my daughter’s pepperoni pizza, and my extra garlic bread. Here is the kicker I TIPPED 15% when I checked out, SO I’M INSTANTLY IRRITATED!! I called Derby City ofc they didn’t answer because it’s a busy Friday night. When I got there and told them what happened and showed them the food I received, the manager immediately called Door Dash and got the driver banned from delivering at any of their stores. “This is not the normal Blaze we go to but we were over here returning some stuff and thought why not? And boy were we impressed. My husband and I both got a pizza to go and ate it in the parking lot. The bake was perfect. We can neither have dairy but even without cheese these pizzas were delicious. “While traveling in Louisville, we decided we had to try Louisville style pizza, of course. The recommendation from Google and Yelp was Impellizzeri's hands down, so off we went! We arrived about 7 on Saturday night, it was busy, but we were able to be seated within 10 min. Amazing location with street parking available. Great selection of Bourbon and beers available, and a great menu. They offer 4 styles of pizza: thin, original, thick, and Sicilian. We went with original, and it was perfect crust, with a chewy edge. Louisville style is two layers of cheese and toppings, with a slightly thicker than thin crust. We loved it, but it's very filling. Lots of leftovers, which is never bad. We always get 16in to maximize our slice to pizza ratio. Service was fast and attentive, their pizzas do take longer than your average, but it was worth it. I think ours took about 25 min.“

“I've only picked up orders for their customers to deliver. Delivered to pretty far out locations like Chamberlain Ln and I wanna say close to Mt. Washington. One customer said it's his favorite pizza place to order when he's in town. The atmosphere seems laid back n relaxed. I've experienced good customer service. If I knew his name I'd mention it. The customers always seem to be enjoying their time there anytime I had the privilege to pick up and deliver. I hope this helps.“

My husband loves the wings, I love the Cuban sandwich and all the salads, MIL loves the calzones, kid loves the kid's cheese pizza (made fresh!)- w/a rice krispy treat ;) and we ALL love the pizza!!! The atmosphere was lowkey and unassuming, and the other players were awesome at rooting everyone on despite us all being strangers. The beer on tap was delicious, I had the C4 Stout and I look forward to having it again soon. My pizza was the Cheeseburger, thick crust and I got it “Tim’s way”. The crust was a blast from the past due to it tasting JUST like 90’s era Pizza Hut, and their pepperonis were crispy and cup-like.

Save your money and just buy one from Kroger/Walmart/Meijers.“
