The Mac and cheese we had as a side was very soupy. And the sauce on the chicken parm lacked flavor and tasted like it was out of a can. The atmosphere was good until the live music started. We were seated right in front of the stage, and once the music started we tried to get through our meal so we could leave.“

“We always are served well at The River House. We had the November special dinner and it was perfectly prepared. Nice steak, beautiful lobster tail and potatoes and asparagus were almost more than I could eat. But the salad and dessert were the perfect way to start and end my meal. My husband tried the scallops and shrimp pasta and it was all he was hoping for. We love dining at the River House because it always makes our special celebrations 100times better.“

I am from Florida and managed a seafood restaurant and this is by far some of the best tasting seafood I have ever ate. the shrimp boil was amazing, the cat fish had the best flavor and fried to a perfect golden brown crisps, the seafood tacos we good enough to slap your momma, shrimp and grits were full and taste with a Cajun twist, gator bites were perfectly cooked and the seafood Mac and cheese well let just say my dad doesn't eat mac and cheese at all and he said it was delicious... friendly staff clean atmosphere. will be coming back the next time we are in town.“

Personally, I order the Fish and Clams when I go, you dont have to order that but you're also entitled to have a wrong opinion of the best thing to eat, Perfect place for a 3rd date, would willingly fight a goose in the parking lot to get inside if I had to, inside its exactly what you would expect... old people taking up all the tables like some sort of early dinner club, I believe I was the only person not wearing geriatric tennis shoes out of all of my visits there. I feel like the restaurant is slightly misleading because they dont actually have whale on the menu, it seems like basic white fish, the same as the old people inside (basic and white). I know how hard restaurant work is, and I’ve always appreciated the care the staff put in. But our most recent experience left us disappointed. The service was unexpectedly inattentive. We ordered a nice bottle of wine, but our server never returned to refill our glasses. A French fry order was forgotten, and when we asked about it, things seemed to unravel. The server was visibly exasperated. A supervisor eventually stepped in, handled things professionally, and assigned a new server—but by then the mood had shifted. This wasn’t just any lunch—it was a farewell meal with a dear friend leaving town, and I’d hoped for a flawless experience. At over $230, I expected more attentive service. I don’t share this lightly. Connors has been a place we’ve enjoyed many times. But this visit left me disappointed, and I won’t be returning anytime soon. “We Love this location! We have another Moby Dick closer to us, but we go out of our way to patronize this location because all the employees are Super Friendly! The food is good; they get it finished fast. The location closer to us is always lined up around the building and out onto the road. This location is hidden back from the road so it's not hard to get into. Ever.“

“My visit to this Moby Dick fish restaurant left me disappointed. The fish sandwich didn't taste like I recalled from earlier years. I don't know if the batter or the oils in which the fish is fried has changed or if it was my taste buds being a bit off from hours earlier brushing my teeth with toothpaste and mouthwash rinse. Consequently, I'm not going to leave the three star rating I would if I knew for certain it wasn't my taste buds affecting the taste. Even still, the fish sandwich was hot and well prepared and tasted fine, but it seemed just a bit off from the exceptional taste I recalled from a regular visits a few years earlier when I regularly patronized the Moby Dick in St Matthews before it closed. I'll try it again soon and make sure I am hours away from having brushed and rinsed. Ha!
