“I knew it would be a cool place when the door knobs were gas pumps. Everything was detailed down to the napkin rings. It lived up to its name for sure. The food was amazing! Our waitress Cozy, I can't say enough about her. She had the best personality, super sweet and when we had decided what we wanted she definitely told us about our choices, like how they are prepared, what they come with and if she had tried them herself. “This is a very underrated spot. Ppl probably pull in and pull out because it looks like an abandoned building with an auto shop behind it. But don't judge a book by its cover! I've had 3 different plates from here, and all were 10/10. The staff are very nice. The servers were extremely attentive. The hibiscus drink was amazing, too. I work down the street and I've passed this place everyday for 4 years and never knew it was there until I googled places near me to eat and it popped up and was shocked it was so close. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get. I highly recommend eating here. Try the onion based dish with marinated chicken. The spices are next level.“

“Empress chili is where it all started. You have Empress to thank for Cincinnati chili. Had to go to the last remaining one open. Coneys were my favorite menu item. Glad to see chili pizza on the menu and interesting takes on classics like chili and spaghetti coneys. They also had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and a variety of sandwiches. The building itself was very large inside and very clean. I was surprised how nice it was. Awesome restaurant, definitely check it out and pay your respects to a chili legend.“

“Everything about Main St. Café is superlative. I think they have one of the best burgers in the city. Certainly in the top five of all the burger joints that I have been to, including zips and Dellwood. But on top of that, the last time I was there, I had the homemade
roasted red pepper soup. It was as good as the best soup in any high end restaurant. Service is excellent. As far as atmosphere, it is closer to zips than to Dellwood in terms of atmosphere.“

“Had breakfast and everything was great. My wife and I ordered different meals and shared. Eggs over easy, home fries, bacon, goetta, and pancakes. All hot, fresh, and delicious. $20 for 2 folks, including tip, is hard to find. My only complaint is 4 huge pancakes is way too much for most people, especially when they taste great. We brought 2 of them home. Young man working the grill was terrific. He was working only 3 feet from the counter and talked to the guests while cooking.“

“Hubby and I visited Cincinnati for the first time (we are from Ontario Canada) and enjoyed touring the Findlay Market. The food display at the Gourmand Group booth was both captivating and attractive. They offered a wide assortment of salads and some were vegan friendly. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food. The bonus was a friendly chat with one of the booth keeper. Highly recommend! (PS. Thanks for that delicious black bean salad!)“

“We were visiting from Toronto for the MLS game and popped in for a quick beer. The staff was very friendly. Ended up meeting a very friendly manager who took us outside and explained the statues outside the ball park. Was definitely a highlite of the trip.

Beers were good, alot of staff. Very friendly. We only had a beer and left but the food portions we saw were big. Very clean washrooms and cool layout of the entire restaurant/bar.

“I recently used Kitchen 1883 to provide food options for a party that I had and it was wildly successful. The Caulisprouts were just about everyone’s favorite, but I got so many compliments on the pulled pork w/Tabasco slaw and the Greek wraps (it was a great vegetarian option)too! The team that worked with me to deliver and set up the food was incredible. So friendly and helpful, definitely went above and beyond!“

“The food at Charlie Lou’s is absolutely phenomenal! The chicken is seasoned to perfection and it is so moist with a wonderful crunchy texture! Fries are also great. Only thing to add is that DoorDash doesn’t have the sauces offered at the restaurant listed for the wings and I really hope this will be fixed. The food is amazing regardless and they are open late. “We had a lovely Mother’s Day dinner! The restaurant is gorgeous and very welcoming with great music playing. Our server was very friendly and did a great job telling us about Mad Tree and explaining the menu, and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend Alcove!!“
