“I’ve been coming to Empress Chili in Alexandria for quite some time, and the food is always excellent. But one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is Dee at the drive-thru.

Dee is truly a wonderful person. She always has a smile, a great attitude, and a way of making you feel genuinely welcome. No matter what kind of day I’m having, seeing Dee and talking with her for those few moments at the drive-thru always seems to brighten my day. That kind of friendliness and kindness is something you just don’t find everywhere anymore.

The food at Empress is great, but exceptional employees are what really make a place special—and Dee is absolutely one of those people. She is a tremendous asset to Empress Chili and, quite honestly, one of the main reasons I continue to come back.

She got all of our orders correct and even helped me order safely w food allergies. The chefs also did a wonderful job. I can not remember the owners name I think it was Phyllis please forgive me if I'm wrong but she was such a class act. She personally came out to check on everything and make sure we glad everything we needed. In a world full of the art of customer service being lost this place made a lasting impact on myself and my family. Our youngest is teething so as any parent or grandparents know with young children it can be stressful when they aren't feeling well in public. The owner made sure we felt welcome and just over and beyond what I would of expected. the atmosphere had a home town feel. Not sure if you will ever see this post but thank you for having a place that family's can enjoy.“

“Nice neighborhood bar serving good drinks and pub style food. The food menu is limited somewhat but the taste and quality was very good. Happy hour went until 7 pm and they had live music on the weekend staring at 8 pm. Service was good but tight with the bartenders mixing drinks and serving the food from the kitchen. We used to visit their Ludlow location from time to time but since they’ve moved never ventured to Ft Thomas. We might change that now…keep organizing interesting tasting, we certainly will attend.“
