“My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, all the staff were very polite, and answered questions we had. It is a quiet ambiance so perfect for couples looking for a more intimate dinner. We ordered the salmon and fried chicken, both entrees were delicious, I ordered a vesper martini which the bartender nailed. The waitress wished us a happy anniversary, she also gave us a small card and a dessert on the house. Overall, we will be returning.“

“I cannot say enough about the kindness of the staff here. My father had a medical emergency while waiting on dinner and the staff dialed 911 for me within seconds and offered to box up our food because we couldn’t stay to eat it. They also closed the restaurant while the EMT’s were working on Dad. I cannot say enough about the kindness of the employees/ staff. I have eaten there on other occasions too and the food has always been excellent.“

“I had never been to this place before but we went for Thanksgiving today and it was FANTASTIC! We had a reservation for the 12:30 seating, and were seated and in line for the buffet by 12:45. The front staff seemed pretty stressed but they did a great job. I’m looking forward to going back to try their regular menu.“

“Stopped in on the way to Buffalo Trace, we told the waitress we needed to be somewhere in an hour and she did everything she could to make that happen. Total time there was 35min, food was pretty good though I feel the steak could have been seasoned a little more. Loved the salad bar, so many things to put on your salad.“

My wife and I recently began dining at the Frankfort Captain D's Versailles Road location and I can not adequately describe just how fantastic our dining experiences have been here. When we find a restaurant that excels in all areas like Staxx (Frankfort), Raising Canes (Nicholasville) and every Chic-fil-a location, we can't wait to sing its praises and look forward to returning. This Captain D's is just that great. The food is always cooked hot and fresh to order, served at your table on actual plates in a spotless restaurant that plays great music. I really can not say enough good things. We drive past another Captain D's that is ten minutes closer to get to this location and will continue to do so. It really feels live a 5-star experience and should probably win the award for best Captain D's in America!“

“My husband and I ate here for the first time today but it definitely won't be our last! We had heard good things about the food but were even more pleasantly surprised after we tasted the food! It was DELICIOUS!!! The buffet closed less than 30 minutes after we arrived but the food was still hot and fresh and they brought out a fresh batch of tenderloin and cornbread before we finished eating our meal. If I could give this place more than a 5 star rating, I would definitely do it!! The staff were very friendly and, for dessert, they had brownies with chocolate fudge type sauce on them and they also had an apple cake that was the BEST apple cake I have ever tasted!! I thought I made a good apple cake but I am an amateur baker compared to the lady who made this cake!! My husband said he could have eaten the whole pan of brownies if he hadn't been so full from eating the other delicious food we had. I HIGHLY recommend this place and cant wait to go again!!!“
