“My close friend and I ate here not to long ago and the food was delicious and fresh, soda from the fountain tasted a little flat though.Quiet place with amazing and fast service, staff seems to bring their own kids to work with them which makes the place seem more welcoming.”

Always happy n polite, I don't think we've ever not received the famous hi welcome to waffle house greeting as we're always greeted with a smile n inviting presence as her station is always good clean, u know for a waffle house lol Even while TWICE last week the poor lady was left alone to be both the cook n the waitress, when usually her daughter waits on us but 2 days in a row noone, now don't get me wrong she absolutely killed it, she always does. But even when left doing it alone still she gonna be doing her thing!!”

“I work EMS and have difficulty getting food or service at most fast food places because our ambulance doesn’t fit in the drive through and I work nights when the lobbies are closed. This Wendy’s is always open when I come and they are great at accommodating us. Food is always fresh and good. The guys who work at night are always so sweet.”

“We were blown away on our first visit this morning!! Ryan is a talented mixologist in the bar creating beautiful, delicious and truly unique drinks. Our server Louis was incredibly charming and attentive, giving us excellent menu choices —as it was a hard decision. Every dish was a work of art—both in presentation and flavor. “Bob Boudreau and I were in NOLA for 9 nights. Three of the nights we had reservations at other places with family. Our 1st night we looked up and found Jewel of the South. We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great staff. GREAT ALL AROUND! FIVE STARS for Jewel of the South.”

“Amazing food and drinks. We loved everything from the pork, fish rundown, and spectacular salads. Cocktails were great as well - pimms, and hurricane.
Kudos to the kitchen and bar. Unfortunately our waiter, David, was horrendous. He seemed annoyed by every aspect of serving our party. Everyone else at the restaurant seemed lovely, like the previous times we've dined there. Shocking someone so mismatched with the restaurant is working there”

“I have passed Fives multiple times, been meaning to stop in and finally did on last night w| a friend who was visiting.

We stopped by on a Tuesday, that is of course a pretty slow day in the city so it was pretty dead. We sat on the cocktail bar side and we were greeted by a super nice bartender— I can’t remember her name, but she had loads of energy!! We ordered a few oysters and they were hands downs some of the best oysters I’ve tasted. My favorites were the Mon Louis, such a great, clean taste. My drinks were extremely good. I could have sat there all night stuffing my face a drinking.

I wasn’t aware that Fives is owned by the same people who own The Columns, makes sense because food and drinks are always perfection there as well.

Fives is located in Jackson Square, prime location for tourists as it is centrally located in the Quarter. The space is limited, If you are expecting a full blown out restaurant, this isn’t the location. Fives is truly a cocktail/oyster bar. I believe I saw a total of four tables in each corner w| four chairs to each table.

This will certainly become a new spot for me to hang.”

“This was probably our favorite dining experience in New Orleans, which is saying something! We ate here our first evening in the city and it was a great way to kick off our vacation. This truly is a next-level dining experience, not just a meal. The restaurant is in a small historic house near the Garden District and it’s a lovely quaint atmosphere. My husband and I opted for the communal seating experience and we had great conversations with our fellow diners. Each course was presented well, with a description from our waitstaff, and while it is 7 courses, it isn’t too much food at all. Cocktails are quite good too (we skipped the wine pairing). Definitely not an everyday dinner, but 100% worth the splurge!”

“My husband and I went on Friday night for dinner. Could not wait to try the new menu and it was simply awesome. To start with, our sever team was Isaac and Cheyanne and they were great. We never waited for anything. The Hot Crab Claws and Foie Gras Torte for appetizers were divine. I ordered the Duck Cassoulet and my husband had the visiting fish, Sea Bass over Yakamein. While the fish was excellent, the Duck ruled the table. Thanks to the Servers and Kitchen for a wonderful meal. We'll be back.”

“Our food was out of this world! Our server was fast and friendly and the Kofta and samosa were the perfect pairing with delicious cheese naan. Atmosphere=great, food=amazing service= top notch. Goupi treated us well and we will be back when we come back to town!”

“A New Orleans must! Great tasting, traditional Creole food. Food comes out HOT and the portions are big! A more simple menu that has just enough options and you can’t go wrong with any dish (although I recommend the red beans and rice, stewed or fried chicken and the praline bread pudding). Very impressed with how friendly the staff was. We will definitely be eating here again next time we are in town!”
