“This is the REAL deal! You if are looking for authentic Cajon cuisine this is your place. Staff is super friendly (gave us a ton of yummy samples). The real treat was meeting (Writ) the owner (he is a national treasure) he even gave us a tour of his place to include the welding shop and smoke pit.“

“Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge. The food doesn’t miss. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been good to downright delightful. Service is always top notch and atmosphere is just lovely. Highly recommend for date night, girls night or when you just want something yummy.“

“Elsie’s is a favorite of mine so it was a no brainer to go there for my birthday back in March. It was the first time for my boyfriend, who’s from Kenner, and he was throughly impressed. We got the red bean hummus and crawfish queso to start because I think EVERY MEAL should start with those two. The entrees were delectable as always and to top it all off, they had my all time favorite pie in the case. We took home a whole chocolate pecan pie because who needs birthday cake when you can have birthday pie?!?! All in all, a perfect evening at Elsie’s as always.“

“All of the staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food is pretty good. The fries are delicious. We've come here a few times and every single time without fail we're treated with a genuine kindness that you'll find hardly anywhere else. 10/10 I love coming here“

“This place is AMAZING. Everytime I'm riding through Port Allen of course I have to stop and I always spend wayy too much money. They have lots of choices of meals or individual items. And if you like them they have a freezer section with most of the items to buy and bring home! They have amazing pepper jellys and jars of pickles, okra and asparagus that are out of this world. If you haven't enjoyed a meal here before. I absolutely recommend!!“

“We enjoyed the Pork Chop and awesome gravy & rice plate with BOMB Mac n Cheese and good smoked favored green beans. Corn bread and delicious cake to top it off. When I say this food is good, it blessed my soul. Thanks TJ’s will be back!“
“Tony’s is an old staple in Baton Rouge, it’s been around for as long as I can remember. You can get several different types of seafood, boiled, fried, baked, broiled, etc.. Also they serve dishes that are not seafood. And don’t forget to look at their frozen dishes to bring home.“

“first I love cracklins...but somehow the ones I get from Ronnie's have been very hard..like under the lights too long... next...as much as I love chicken cracklins...to be driving down the Interstate and see feathers on your next bite of cracklins really turns the stomach. makes me wonder if I had already ingested feathers from the previous ones I had eaten..“

“Had the opportunity to visit for dinner with a few others. The fried ribs were great and we shared the seafood nachos. The food was hot and fresh. Nice variety of menu items for everyone. The atmosphere was cool and the jukebox was a plus! Of course we had a few daiquiris as well. I'll visit again when back in the area.“
