“Go to the Rusty Nail for exceptional bourbons, knowledgeable, friendly staff, great prices & excellent service... it's well worth would it takes to find it. Also they have a 25% off whiskey Wednesdays!!! Wife and I happened to get there b4 opening on Wednesday. One of the staff ladies took us around inside to show us what Bourbons they had available. Treated us very very kindly...!!! Went back later after a terrible experience at Barrel proof and we just sat there for about 2 hours and enjoyed ourselves. When we get back to New Orleans we'll be back!!“

“I thoroughly enjoy my experiences at Cooter Brown's Tavern. During my recent visit – not my first – I indulged in their delicious fried oysters, which were simply outstanding. Additionally, their fried fish and cheese fries surpassed my expectations. The service was prompt and welcoming, contributing to the establishment's laid-back atmosphere. Undoubtedly, Cooter Brown's Tavern ranks among my favorite spots in New Orleans.“

“Stopped here to check out the food with our city pass and this food did make it worth it. One thing we didn't read in the details is that this is a 21+ place, so my spouse and I had to swap around to get our order. My spouse had the alligator sandwhich, which he said was amazing, I got the oysters, which were amazing! Check this place out!“

“While in NOLA we always stop here and are always happy with the food, service and atmosphere in general. It’s enough away from the Bourbon atmosphere but close enough at the same, if you have a preference. It was clean, fast and friendly. All good!“
“I was really impressed with the friendliness of service here! The bartender and the guy at the door. I came here to celebrate my birthday with a large group of friends after having an horrible experience across the street and they were able to accommodate us with room and allowed us to bring in my birthday cake. Everyone was happy. The plus was there were pool table in the room we were in. I’d highly recommend this bar to have a few drinks and chill.“

“When in New Orleans, this place is a MUST VISIT! It's away from the craziness of the city so you feel completely safe! The DJ was nice, the vibe was chill but fun and they have hookahs! The fact that the owner was running food, and drinks spoke volume on Great Service and the Lamb Chops were delicious“

“The nice man behind the counter was very chill and patient with my frazzled stepmom, which I super appreciate. I slightly regret being on a diet cuz the larges were unexpectedly on sale, but my bellini is really really good! I'll probably try their take on The Incredible Hulk next time“

“Is a great neighborhood/dive bar. Like most neighborhood bars, it can also tend to be cliquey, but as stated before, it's also a laid-back divey bar. Most people still have zero reservation about chatting it up with a friendly or interesting face. The bartenders will pour the same whether it is an old regular or a new transplant looking for a bar to have a few beers at not too far from the house.“

“Great local spot. Great bands for entertainment, along with pool tables, poker machines. The service is great, even at peek capacity, Angie and girls keep up, rarely wait 2-3 minutes for drinks. Sidney, well, he will even sing, and gives free ice with your mixed drinks. Good selection on adult beverage, with good pours.“

“The place wasn't very busy when I went there on a Thursday night, but it's always nice to chat with Perry. The server Olivia was attentive and sweet, but then I've never met one of Perry's bartenders that I didn't like. Drink prices are very reasonable and I'll definitely go back.“
“I was working in the area for a few weeks. Being from out of town I wanted to find a local place to relax with down to earth people. I looked at Google maps and chose this place. It works everywhere I go. Just look at the reviews and the pictures. The staff are excellent. The guest are friendly and relatable. I met some people here that I truly regard as friends. Fred, Jason, Christine and everyone else whose names I forget. I'm not skilled at remembering names. Try it. You will like it.Pool tables, darts , flip flops, vibe“
“It's the people that make this place so special. It's not a tourist destination but a local neighborhood place where you can stop by. I suspect every person that walks through the doors becomes a regular that turns into a friend. You can play games (shuffleboard), sing, drink, and chill. The outdoor area has plenty of tables and chairs but you'll most likely be mingling and moving around regardless of where you choose. Enjoy!“
“If you are ever on the West Bank in NOLA.....you have to try this place. It has been there forever and my dad used to go there when he was stationed in NOLA while serving in the Marine Corp. and that was back in the 70's. Try their bloody marys. They are my fav!“
