“Recently went for lunch at MRB during our vacation in New Orleans. It was the best gumbo we had on our whole trip, and we had it at a few places! I also loved the fried green tomato sandwich. Don't let the fact that this is a food truck in the courtyard of a bar deceive you...food is delish!!“

“Don’t sleep on the Schooner! They were happy to put an obscure soccer match on a big screen for us, cook us delicious food (the fish and chips were a highlight, as were the weekend special Buffalo chicken dip egg rolls), and pour us some great drinks. Amazing vibes during the day and at night, wonderful staff (hi guys!) and cozy atmosphere. Can’t recommend highly enough.“

“Love this place great people to hang around bartender is wonderful and on key. Doorman politis person I've ever dealt with in Louisiana. He definitely gives the term Southern hospitality it's true meaning great guy. Definitely would recommend to friends.

“Ricky was amazing! We stopped for the name and to get maybe one drink and a t-shirt. We stayed for 3 drinks and bought the t-shirt. Ricky was welcoming and engaging. Everything you would want from a quality bartender. He let us know that the bar was part of the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. If he is the kind of people you hire, we will definitely be staying there next time. We were in town for the weekend from North Carolina, but he made us feel like locals. Ricky is a gem and a highlight of our weekend in New Orleans!“

“After my second visit, I was hooked. An extremely innovative menu, friendly and efficient service with a chill vibe. Just met the owner, he was bussing tables and wiping down countertops. “Great place for date night, got the Barcar burger with truffle waffles fries. It was delicious! The server Michael was extremely attentive! He even ran out of the restaurant to bring me something I had forgotten at the table! Would come back and definitely recommend others to try too!“

“My family likes coming when we can for karaoke. The guy who runs it is awesome and because he uses videos from youtube, it makes it easy to practice at home before going out. Bonus is the drinks are always good too. Their seasonal drinks are always worth trying. Their king cake martini is good and I had a summer cocktail once that tasted like angel food cake.“

“We do not recommend! I have never been treated so poorly as a local at a bar in New Orleans EVER! We have family with us from Indiana and wanted to experience an “Indiana” bar. The locals were terrible, the bartender was rude. They all took an active role in making it uncomfortable for all four of us by berating us for ordering a bloody Mary after 2pm. Would have been totally fine with just saying, "sorry, we arent offering/making those right now". Would have gladly ordered another Miller Lite (which we ordered one of and got a high life - didnt say a word, I like high life,too and figured she midheard me or did she??) Heard enough from her and the "in crowd" finally, threw her a $20 and told her we were sorry to cause trouble and left. Hope you buy yourself something pretty with the hefty, less than deserved tip. Anyone who visits this neighborhood….stay away!! Visit Markeys, Pepps or anywhere else! If you aren't one of their group, apparently you are not welcome.“

“Great spot, one of my absolute favorites in NOLA. Meghan is incredible and always takes good care of my group when I’m in! I also went for the first time on a Friday afternoon recently and found out that they make a special lemon garlic butter that they put on steaks and stuff, only available on Fridays. I ordered a tuna steak and they put that on there, oh my. Will definitely be back for lunch next time I’m in town.“

“I went there for Tuesday steak nite. Filet for $20 with baked pot, bread, and veg was surprisingly good and prepared. Kenny at the bar was a good waiter as well as a friendly bartender. Introduced himself and shook hands. An unexpededly nice and comfortable dining experience at a Veterans Blvd primarily bar.“
