“Every year my husband and I travel all the way from Kentucky to Breaux bridge just for the crawfish festival. It is important to us that we immerse ourselves in the local flair including the dining. While we try new places every year the one we never deviate from is Buck & Johnny’s Zydeco Breakfast. We absolutely love everything about it. The environment, the food, the clientele, and most of all the music. Before I start let me preface this be saying that o come from a family who owned a restaurant for 24 years, so I have really high standards. First, no matter what, ALWAYS order the beignets!! They are just the best things ever! They are hot, and fresh! The breakfast menu is expansive and very cognizant of the culture that is southern Louisiana! Do yourself a favor and each order something different and share a little from everyone’s plate. You won’t be disappointed. Our waitress today was Deidre and she was on point. For the first time since 2017 they opened the event center side for overflow seating. She was the only waitress taking care of that side. Even though there were some unruly customers trying to make her life difficult, she prevailed and delivered outstanding service to that table as well. The only negative I can say is that in the past they had a signature Bloody Mary which was top shelf. They did not have that this year and it was greatly missed. “We went in Saturday without a reservation and lucked out with the last table available. I love the atmosphere. I appreciate the good wine choices and had a great glass of Malbec. Our entrees were excellent. We had pizza and the special of the night. Service was excellent and we will certainly be back!
Reminder all bread is made in-house and to die for!

Vegetarian options: I am not a Vegetarian but try to have two - three plus days of only veggies per week. There are plenty of pasta and vegi options or pizza or calzones and ingredients are of high quality!“

“I searched places to eat on Google maps and chose to visit Zorbas which was approx a 4/5 min walk from the Doubletree hotel.
I walked in Zorbas and was pleasantly greeted by Esma. She was extremely helpful explaining the menu and went out her way to help me choose what was right for me. I was impressed with all the cuisine choices and chose the spicy feta cheese chicken. Awesome!
Von was fantastic in actually preparing this wonderful meal for take out (extra added). Esma gave me a sample to ensure what I ordered, was what I wanted to eat.
I highly recommend Zorbas and will definitely come back again and again!
Zorbas with the outstanding staff/food, was absolutely what I needed.
I appreciate the personal effort and quality of food that I received today.

“Went today for a late lunch. This was our first visit and definitely not our last. Our server Jessica went above and beyond to make our first experience the best we ever had. Food was amazing! The GM Lupe even came visit with us at our table. Best dining experience we have ever had!“

Not sure when they stopped putting the salads in its own container but I just got a salad full of sauce and rice. The customer service at this location is also lacking. Employees are always on their cell phones even when a customer walks in.“

“My husband and I travel to southern Louisiana the first weekend in May every year to partake in the crawfish festival. As a result, we like to dine at as many local establishments as possible and we always try to give an elaborate, detailed review. Let me preface this by saying I come from a family that owned a restaurant for 24 years and I have high standards. Since we come to town for crawfish, that is usually the first thing on the menu. It is not my favorite, but my husband loves it. So he ordered the crawfish(platter I think) which was a couple pounds with corn and potatoes. We were offered regular or spicy. Right here is where things get different. We eat a LOT of crawfish down here and we do our own crawfish boils. You can choose “spicy” and obtain that by leaving them in the pot for a few extra minutes to soak up the seasonings and they will be “spicy”. However, there are a few places that try to obtain the “spicy” by adding a powdered heat to it after they have been removed from the pot. If you like that way, that’s fine. We do not. We find that all it does is get all over your hands and face and really doesn’t add very much flavor to the meat at all. Each to their own. On the flip side. The crawfish were cooked and presented well and they were priced right. I had fried catfish. This too presented its own problems since it was brought on a basket, but I didn’t receive any napkins, a plate, or a fork. I did go and ask for them and received all of them. I realize that most people are ok to eat certain things with their hands, but I am a nurse by trade and I know what is lurking around on people’s hands. There will never be a day when I will eat anything with my hands. On the flip side. The catfish was phenomenal!! It was seasoned to perfection! Cooked exquisitely well and served hot! On a scale of 1-10. I’d give them a 7.5. It was good. The things they did good, they did really good.“

“Between New Orleans and Houston there is a heaven-like oasis...and it is called Parish Brewing Company.

It just so happens that a few years back when I was living in Houston, a local watering hole started to promote a beer (on tap) named Ghost in the Machine. Well...I fell in love with it. If you like a good hazy IPA, this one is hard to beat.

I highly recommend you stop in and try a flight of their different beers. Their Brain Cake beer is also amazing, and very hard to find.

Their bar is a fun experience and all their employees were very friendly.“
