It was really slow arpund 1pm during heavy rain. I dont know why, place is reslly good. Parking could be an issue i guess, but ill definitely be back in the near future. So far its the best mexican restaurant ive been to around here, and I the location is cool with the downtown vibes. Maybe ill try something else like a fajitas or something with a bit more food in the plate. But I ate 3 chip baskets and like 3 or 4 salsa. So good“

“Taylor B is a PHENOMENAL waitress! Words cannot begin to express how outstanding she is! So definitely request her if you go. We did request her for my birthday dinner last night and do not regret it. The only negative was that we arrived about 15 minutes early for our 5 PM reservation (Traffic was not as bad as we anticipated.) and Taylor had not started her shift yet. So the hostess told us to hang out in the lobby and wait until 5. We did not want to awkwardly stand around so we went to sit in the car. Personally we would have preferred to be seated at our table while we waited. We could have had water to drink and looked over the menu while waiting. I think making us wait in the lobby, or the car as we chose, was not that nice for this exceptional restaurant.“

“Cheba Hut is always hot, fresh, and delicious. The portions are pretty generous and they pile on the toppings. The atmosphere is fun if you are 4/20 friendly or even just like music and movies, etc. I would highly recommend giving Subway and Jimmy John's a break and trying Cheba Hut for a different experience. “The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. “We love Lit pizza, but the Denham springs, La location can NEVER get the online order correct in the evenings. About 4 of us order several times online and every single time one or more of the pizza’s are incorrect. It makes us not want to order out, which we do often as we work evening shifts.“

“I have wanted to try this place for many years and finally today I was able to. I love the place as it was cute. The grilled chicken was great. Had a good flavor and was not dry. The only con I would say is the fries. They were really soggy. I will return and ask for them to be cooked longer is all. I really really want to try the banana shake so that will be a goal of mine. Their catfish is breaded with a great seasoned flavor, crispy thick pieces and some thin ones too. The Catfish Atchafalaya is one of the best entrees when you are craving a savory seafood dish. The crawfish etouffee is the best in the parish. We ordered the jacked up crawfish dip with the fried pita chips that come out hot and fresh with crawfish in every bite! Creamy with a hint of spice that’s so satisfying. Try that with the fried eggplant and you will love it. For dessert the richest and best bread pudding with an amazing tasty rum sauce. Take it home with you, heat it up for about 10 seconds and you have that midnight southern snack that brings you back to your childhood. The atmosphere is relaxing and the southern rustic Louisiana feel makes you wanna sit back and just enjoy the goodness of the evening. Our waitress was Carmin and she was welcoming and offered great advice on every dish we asked about. Great service across the board. The prices ate so affordable for the amount of food served on an entree, even the appetizers. Everything about Louisiana Bayou Bistro is superb from the second you walk in. There was a holiday party in the next room and the atmosphere was never bothered. Been coming here for almost 20 something years and it just gets better and better. The fried shrimp is my favorite. All you can eat for the price is unbeatable. Best food and people across the bridge! I live in Florida and when I come home this is where I love to go.
