“A little late this morning (10:30), biking the Tammany Trace. Found Alice's (old-fashioned) via Google (modern). Great Chicken-Fried Steak Breakfast (all-season)!! Rose (waitress) kept our cups full and hot.Nothing was absolutely the best, but all of it combined was absolutely the best!“

“Don's food is usually delicious! There is only one thing, it seems to have a spicy taste,fried or grilled. I would love to suggest a choice of a little milder version on the menus. A choice of regular or slightly mild. Not completely mild just slightly. For people with stomach issues who love seafood! Also for the little ones.The atmosphere is great for children or adults. They have a sports bar to the left of the tables perfect for singles who want good food drinks and a great atmosphere.They even have outside seating.The prices are reasonable and the etouffee is delicious! Highly recommend. The waitress staff is very attentive to your needs. In all the many times we have eaten here we only had one experience where the waitress was not good at all. You don't stop and drop food and rush off without asking.... is there anything else I can get for you? No cocktail or tartar sauce was given, we had to get up and find someone to get it also extra napkins. Sad one bad apple. Do I recommend Don's DEFINITELY!!!One thing I forgot to mention, I believe it's the dinner room supervisor, it's the one in the tight short skirt. Please wear a size bigger, you can see your underwear lines and your tummy is poking out. A slight bend reveals everything . It looks tacky for a family restaurant. Just a size bigger would look fabulous on her. I love short skirts but you can tell it's way too small. She does a fantastic job of making sure everything runs smoothly in the dinning room and works really hard her work ethics is above and beyond!Thank you for the wonderful food and the great people who work here.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces so don't worry about that.Kid-friendliness: Definitely even a kids menu and high chairsWheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking outside and tables to accommodate w/c.“

“Had the shrimp tacos, and fried mushrooms. It was absolutely perfect, some of the best blackened shrimp and as I said the fried mushrooms were perfectly fried. I thought I spent alot on lunch but when food is really good you can overlook it. I plan on going back!“

“Our first time there. I had the fried catfish and the wife the shrimp Poboy, and they were delicious. Sabrina was our server. She was knowledgeable, and took care of us. We are definitely coming back…A+ all the way…btw, don’t judge the place from the outside. Plenty of good food inside.“

“The reviews are spot on you will not be disappointed. Food was amazing and large portions. I was shocked when they brought out the fruit bowl. Less than $7 for all of it!!! Best sausage I have ever had and the gravy was to die for. Mind you we travel full time around the US and this restaurant is in our top 10 now for breakfast. Our waitress, Amanda , was so fast and always made sure we had everything we needed. She said she has been working here for 18 years and the other waitress had been here 16 years. All the wait staff was checking in on our coffee so you never have an empty cup. We can’t wait to come back and try lunch. “Update: Just went today to get crawfish, gumbo and boudin balls. The crawfish were so good and well seasoned!!! I hesitate to go today because for the past 3 years, they have not been spicy at all. So I couldn't have been happier today with how spicy they were. They are always clean crawfish, decent sized and today, they were some of the best I've ever eaten!The boudin balls were very delicious. They were kind of like chicken fried, which made them so good. I picked up a quart of gumbo in the market as well... I was super pleased with everything todayGood reliable food!“

“While in the New Orleans area for my wifes birthday trip, we found this place while looking for great seafood on our way back to New Orleans from a trip to a plantation. Upon arrival, we were met by the owner, who was able to find us a seat on the restaurants beautiful and new dining porch overlooking Lake Pontchartrain. I highly recommend this restaurant for quality seafood and great service. The waiter could even tell he was serving some "Yankees" and had fun with the situation. Thanks for the southern hospitality and the delicious seafood!!“

“Visited for lunch. First time at Bistro Byronz. Was hoping for a good salad. Was blown away by the excellent Wasabi salad with sesame encrusted tuna (get the tuna rare!). Beautiful menu with loads of enticing items. Terrific list of sides. Superior service; ask for the server whose first name begins with 'M'. YUM!!“

“The Thai ribs and the Korean Chili chicken sandwich are sinful. The ribs fall off the bone every time. Corn grits are always a must. I love dining in because the drinks are really good. It's always just a tad too dark in the restaurant for me, but it's still a nice place to go if you want a decent selection of food and drink.“

So flavorful. We could eat there every day but it is a bit pricey.Parking: Not much parking but you can park in the grass. It's not crowded during the day but it's a little more crowded in the evening. Most people request take out versus dine-in because it's a very small venue.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome but there are no toys, video games or anything for them to do but they will love the food.“

“Cash only! Maps says they accept credit cards but when I went to pay my tab I was told cash only. There are two atm's across from the bar. Food was good. Had a BLT with Cajun fries. The Cajun fries were delicious. BLT was on point taste wise but I ordered extra bacon and the amount on my sandwich seemed average. Service was good overall. Not sure my receipt was right though. There were 4 items on the receipt when I only had 3 (entree with no plus ups and two cokes). Atmosphere is great. Very nautical bar with large patio on the water. Smoking is only allowed outside.“

“We went through the drive thru. We had never ate here before and through the dt the ladies on duty answered our questions quickly and correctly. They have a special sauce and they were able to communicate with us if it was for us without giving up any secrets. Thanks for everything. We will be back in the future.“

“Arrived in Covington LA, while camping after exploring the cajun area, went looking for another Boil. Found this gem on Google. Hubby and I stopped in a little confused gal at register gave us 2 cups and menus suggested we review menus and return to register when ready to order. while trying to decipher the what some items were. a very kind gentleman stopped by table inquired if we needed anything and made some suggestions, got our drinks even though normally self serve, took our order. hubby ended choosing alligater sausage pasta(swamp pasta) I reddish with crawfish cream sauce. “Went this evening with a large group (24) of friends. Service was fantastic. Drinks were flowing constantly. Orders were taken correctly and no issues separating checks. All the food came out quickly and hot. We’re a hard bunch and we put the chef and Waiter to a test. They both stepped up their game. The other staff helped as needed, no slacking from anyone. All customers were taken care of.Wheelchair accessibility: Punchy came in with no issues. Sat at the head of the table.“

“Staff is very warm and friendly. We arrived 3 minutes before opening time and were greeted very kindly, taking our order immediately! Show me a place that would do that, today!! Food was delicious. The Betty burger was cooked perfectly, the BLT and Club sandwiches were on point. A great place for comfortable dining, with classic Louisiana charm and hospitality. “Finding a place for breakfast on Christmas morning was a challenge, but thankfully Waffle House was there to save the day. As the only place open, they offered a warm and welcoming place. I ordered the fiesta omelette to go, and it was awesome. What truly stood out was the dedication of the staff. Working on a holiday isn't easy, but they did so with smiles and efficiency. A big thank you to the Waffle House team for making our Christmas morning breakfast a memorable one.“

“Super impressed I am vegan and gluten-free and they helped me get food and I’ve been traveling all night and I’m starving. They made me hashbrowns with margarine instead of the shortening and then I had mushrooms, onion and tomato added into them and I just added some salt and pepper and Walla Delicious very nice people working there“
