“Went with my parents for lunch today. We each had a fresh, crisp salad. My parents had catfish. It was fried to perfection and nicely seasoned but not too salty or spicy. I had the corn and shrimp bisque. It was thick, creamy, and delicious. This establishment serves delicious food for ridiculously affordable prices.“

“You were recommended by a friend. I came and purchased several bags of the shrimp etoufee and the crawfish Julie sauce for our tailgate party. Both sauces were a huge hit, extremely flavorful and not salty. They were delicious. I will be back soon and sooo worth my drive to the north shore! Thank you!!!“

“So about a month or so ago I came and they were perfect which is hard to find in St.Tammany. Well went back about 2 weeks ago and they really just weren't good at all we didn't even finish the 5lbs I got. I will try once more just to see if they were just off that one time.“

“Lago’s food is always fresh and authentic. Try the street steak quesadillas, they are addictive! The molcajete is a must to experience. It arrived in a huge cauldron of roasted meats and veggies with cactus! Absolutely delicious. The service is always great!“

“Had an amazing dinner at Nuvolari’s tonight! LOVED every dish and service and atmosphere was great. We had the stuffed artichoke, boudin “hot pocket”, while mushroom and crab pasta, and short rib ravioli. Plus the pistachio gelato was delicious! Liam, our server was very nice and attentive too! 10/10!!! Plus, great new updates to the menu!“

“This is a quaint restaurant on the lakefront in Mandeville. I had the Killer Quesadilla with shrimp. It was great. The sweet potato fries were very good. These were waffle fries which added to the crispness of fries. The queso was a little think but was good. Service was good also.“

“General tile chicken, lo mein chicken broccoli dumplings. This is what we ordered all excellent the lo mein is not spaghetti noodles like you see at other restaurants wonderful sauce for the generals chicken as well as the chicken and broccoli highly recommended.“

“I happen to be passing through town and found this place. From the outside it has a Mexican puebla look and the inside was big and clean. I had the enchiladas with salsa verde and a michelada and my sister ordered the carne asada tacos. The server was very nice and new the menu quite well. I mentioned to her I only like the spicy micheladas with salt and lime so if it was a sweet one then would opt for the margarita instead. She politely said okay but had a look like why would we make it sweet? Some Mexican American places do that but traditionally its salt lime and spices. Anyhow the enchiladas were pretty good. The portion was big and the salsa verde was mildly spicy with a little tang to it. I did love how the corn tortillas were a little toasted eventhough they were drenched in sauce. My sister's plate on the other hand made me and my brother in law jealous. I have no clue what he ordered and forgot about my own plate when the carne asada came out on a skillet with caramelized onions huddled around it. It was perfectly seared and lightly salted and the tortillas was fresh corn tortilla off the hot iron. If you like tacos let me tell you it does not get better then that. All in all it is a good place with genuine Mexican food and if you want to find other more traditional Latin American places ask the servers they know their food.“

“The menu is excellent. The food was memorable. The soft shell crab was outstanding lightly battered, large and available plain or with a fresh lemon butter or crawfish cream sauce. All were great. The Steak Diane was beautiful when served and tasted even better. Service was as good or better than the food.
The prices were very reasonable. A hidden jewel family restaurant. I highly recommend“
