“Hands down!!! Just like home!!! Somewhere they don't rush you and you can take your time and spend time with family eat just one of my favorite places ever. Best soft-shell crab and love the Creamy BBQ shrimp dish!!! Best burger and the chicken Riquette.... Shrimp fried so good you can eat the tails for crisp!!!! the Calamari so crunchy!! Go see Stacy and the girls!! Oh yeah the old fashion and Bloody Mary is on point.“

“Don's food is usually delicious! There is only one thing, it seems to have a spicy taste,fried or grilled. I would love to suggest a choice of a little milder version on the menus. A choice of regular or slightly mild. Not completely mild just slightly. For people with stomach issues who love seafood! Also for the little ones.The atmosphere is great for children or adults. They have a sports bar to the left of the tables perfect for singles who want good food drinks and a great atmosphere.They even have outside seating.The prices are reasonable and the etouffee is delicious! Highly recommend. The waitress staff is very attentive to your needs. In all the many times we have eaten here we only had one experience where the waitress was not good at all. You don't stop and drop food and rush off without asking.... is there anything else I can get for you? No cocktail or tartar sauce was given, we had to get up and find someone to get it also extra napkins. Sad one bad apple. Do I recommend Don's DEFINITELY!!!One thing I forgot to mention, I believe it's the dinner room supervisor, it's the one in the tight short skirt. Please wear a size bigger, you can see your underwear lines and your tummy is poking out. A slight bend reveals everything . It looks tacky for a family restaurant. Just a size bigger would look fabulous on her. I love short skirts but you can tell it's way too small. She does a fantastic job of making sure everything runs smoothly in the dinning room and works really hard her work ethics is above and beyond!Thank you for the wonderful food and the great people who work here.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces so don't worry about that.Kid-friendliness: Definitely even a kids menu and high chairsWheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking outside and tables to accommodate w/c.“

“Had the shrimp tacos, and fried mushrooms. It was absolutely perfect, some of the best blackened shrimp and as I said the fried mushrooms were perfectly fried. I thought I spent alot on lunch but when food is really good you can overlook it. I plan on going back!“

“The food was very good. It was hot and omg...tasted soooooooo good! I had the French toast and the pasta. They were delicious. My aunt had chicken and waffles and she enjoyed them. I can say the strawberry lemonade tasted like kool aid. We waited 20 minutes for it and it was weak an watery.It's ducked off a bit, so you gotta be paying attention to see it, but it's worth the hunt. The service was excellent. I can't remember the server's name but he was really nice.The atmosphere wasn't "bad;" it was just basic. The food makes you not care at all. You've gotta eat here!“

“Looking for a different restaurant to try and stumbled upon this gem.Venue: in a small shopping center- place was clean with average seating.Service: Quick & accommodatingFood: My shrimp quesadilla had a bounty of shrimp! Plus, they were prepared perfectly. The salsa was spicy like I enjoy it, but the chips seemed to bought. The beans that accompanied the quesadilla were adequate.Cocktail: The margarita with Grand Marnier and tajin was solid and an ample size to be the regular size.Verdict: My next meeting in the area is in April, and I know where I'm going.“

“Our first time there. I had the fried catfish and the wife the shrimp Poboy, and they were delicious. Sabrina was our server. She was knowledgeable, and took care of us. We are definitely coming back…A+ all the way…btw, don’t judge the place from the outside. Plenty of good food inside.“

“While in the New Orleans area for my wifes birthday trip, we found this place while looking for great seafood on our way back to New Orleans from a trip to a plantation. Upon arrival, we were met by the owner, who was able to find us a seat on the restaurants beautiful and new dining porch overlooking Lake Pontchartrain. I highly recommend this restaurant for quality seafood and great service. The waiter could even tell he was serving some "Yankees" and had fun with the situation. “Update: Just went today to get crawfish, gumbo and boudin balls. The crawfish were so good and well seasoned!!! I hesitate to go today because for the past 3 years, they have not been spicy at all. So I couldn't have been happier today with how spicy they were. They are always clean crawfish, decent sized and today, they were some of the best I've ever eaten!The boudin balls were very delicious. They were kind of like chicken fried, which made them so good. I picked up a quart of gumbo in the market as well... I was super pleased with everything todayGood reliable food!“

“The Thai ribs and the Korean Chili chicken sandwich are sinful. The ribs fall off the bone every time. Corn grits are always a must. I love dining in because the drinks are really good. It's always just a tad too dark in the restaurant for me, but it's still a nice place to go if you want a decent selection of food and drink.“

“The Chargrilled Oysters are some of the best I have had. The salads were also good. The Shrimp PoBoy is on point they let me have the ingredients on the side so I can build it to my liking. The sweet tea with lemon is delicious. Definitely a place to go to. Would definitely come back.“

“WOW! What a great place! It was packed, but you don't really care. They have some nice rocking chairs looking out over the lake to calm your nerves, if that doesn't work they also have 3 bars upstairs that you can "pick your poison" and chill. We got some drinks and hung out upstairs overlooking the beautiful lake and all the activities that were going on. I think our wait was over an hour, but it only seemed a short while as the view was spectacular and the conversation was great with other guests. Everyone is very friendly here. The staff was top notch and even recognized the regular customers, which I plan to be from now on. Let's get to the food... In a word - Outstanding! From the chargrilled oysters to the chili shrimp appetizers to the main course, all was well more than anticipated. The cheesecake dessert was out of this world, creamy with the best flavor I've ever had. Definitely give this place a try. You won't regret it.“

But it exists and it is great.Open only during the crawfish season, this place sells exactly what you would expect. Crawfish and crawfish accessories only. Here is the way it works:1. Pull in line2. Pick which size crawfish you want.2a. They do have them live if you want to cook your own.3. Pick any sides you want (corn, potatoes, mushrooms).4. Pay - Prices are in line with other local vendors.6. Pull around and someone will bring them to your car.7. Drive home and enjoy.The process is incredibly easy and the crawfish are perfectly spiced. The perfectly spiced is the key for me. Many other places have bland crawfish which is no fun. Another fun fact, if you order large, they are legitimately large. In most other places you get what you get but not here. I look forward to next season because I will be coming back for more.“
