“I ventured to Lafayette to attend Festival International. Since I had the morning and most of the afternoon free the day after my arrival I decided to head to Vermillionville to explore the historic village and have lunch at La Cuisine de Maman. What a great decision!! The food at the restaurant was delicious. I had the plate lunch with a cup of seafood gumbo to start. Everything was really good. The plate lunch that day was crawfish etouffee over rice, smothered green beans, fried shrimp with tartar sauce, and a big biscuit. Portions were very generous; I thought that some of the food might overflow onto the table.😊 I didn't have room for dessert; although I've since been told by lots of people that I should have taken it with me. After eating, I explored the village. What an amazing blend of history and culture it is! I can't wait to return.“

“Went for our lunch today while out in town and was very disappointed. We really wanted some good charbroiled oysters and got garbage instead. Our oysters were served to us luke warm and didn't look or taste "charbroiled" at all. The stuffing that came on top of mine was cold in the middle and the sauce that came with it on the side was cold as well. Ive never in my life been served cold cooked oysters! Absolutely disgusting. Won't be back. Years ago when I came everything was good but now its a big no for me. Disappointed amd dissatisfied after this lunch. O and let me not forget to mention our waitress was very unattentive and never came check on us after we received our food. So that made the experience suck too!“

“Omg!!! To all my New Orleanians... I have stumbled upon a Hot Sausage gold mine that's made with Patton Hot Sausage. This place prepares the hot sausage the way we usually like it in New Orleans and the bread is not bad as well. They are a little pricey but well worth it. My family and I will surely make this a go to place from now on. I think all we need to convince them to do is add Big Shot drinks to their selection.“

“When I tell you miss Noel gave me a great experience at your restaurant, I mean it was fast and so professional and she actually held a conversation with me about things that suits my interests. This woman needs a raise ASAP or im not coming back lol.

“Finally decided to try Julian's Poboys...one word, amazing! I had the shrimp poboy and it was delicious. The bread was the best and the shrimp were fresh and fried to perfection. We also tried the Wild Turkey poboy, also delicious. Don't forget the onion strings. The best poboys we've had in Lafayette to date. The staff were great also.“

“First time visit, found the place clean and the staff very helpful. Ordered a Barbeque Brisket potato with the potato almost football size and a nice thick layer of Brisket on top. Too much food for one sitting! I have enough for a second meal. I will continue to return and bring others as well.“

“Lack luster gumbo: Arrived just after opening, ordered chicken and sausage gumbo with extra rice. Gumbo arrived and was luke warm. Had a overpowering taste of roux which really made the meal unworthwhile. I've eaten at Chris's a number of times before and not had this issue so there is the unknown of why it was soo bad this time. I will think twice before visiting again.“

“Ohhhh man, I walked into this place, it was empty, and I disrespectfully thought to myself “I done messed up”. Disregarding my thoughts I asked the man serving me “what is everyone’s favorite”. He told me his favorite was the brisket burrito therefore I rolled with that. I’m not lying when I say that it was the best GD burrito I’ve had in my life. I was in an absolute state of ecstasy from the second I bit into that sweet pocket of divinity. I swear, I heard the gates of heaven open as 7 trumpets played “Jarabe Tapatío“.

“Boys had meatballs and stuffed bread. I had the stuffed bread and a side of corn. Everyone was happy with their plates, and the stuffed bread was absolutely delicious. The bread was tender and the stuffing was rich with meat and slices of sausage. Divine. Well worth getting off the interstate for.“

I came here for the first time because Lumber Jacks (another eatery I wanted to try seemed to have been closed for good).

I saw chicken and sausage gumbo on their menu, but they ran out.

I tried the shrimp stew. It came with corn and potato salad. It was good.

We also tried the fried catfish (2 pieces), and I really enjoyed the piece I tasted.

If you are ever on Moss St. and looking for a plate lunch, the Lunch Box might fill the void.“

“I just tried Cajun market last week for the first time. I moved here from California 2 years ago and have been searching for a donut that reminds me of the donuts from home. This place is it. These are the closest to west coast donuts that I have found here. They are just so delicious. The staff here both times I’ve gone in now are very friendly and always helpful. I highly recommend getting some yummy treats from here.“

“I’m in from out of town. Best price from the options on line that weren’t “chain pizza places”. Pizza was fire, dope, delicious. Ate the whole thing in one sitting. I know the following questions aren’t going to match but I would put this in my top 15 pizza places all time. I eat a lot of pizza from a lot of places. Well done loved the flavor. It was extremely unexpected after comming in here on a whim when all the Pho shops are closed. Get that Shredded beef and bean hot plate!! I'll est here every time I'm in lafayette for work now.“
