“We visited Keith Young’s for the first time last week and it was HANDS DOWN THE ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. The food was top tier, the service was amazing & the atmosphere was incredible! We had the pleasure of meeting the owners as well & they are the most wonderful people ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND !”

“Have not been here in a long time. The view from the front porch seating was great, luckily it was cooler than normal in Louisiana. We ordered fried onion rings, which you can get in thick or thin cut, which we opted for half and half. Sauce for them was spot on and they were cooked to perfection. My wife and her friend split a soft shell crab po-boy as well as each had a cup of shrimp and crabmeat bisque and they loved it. I ordered a shrimp nobody and it was truly over stuffed! This was some of the best fried shrimp I've had lately and the bread they use is perfect for po-boys. Our waitress and the rest of the staff were super friendly and very attentive. We even walked the area and came back in to have a drink at the bar before we headed back home. Not me, I am always DD.”

When we both retired recently we decided to celebrate our retirements with a return trip to the area, which necessitates a return trip to Abita Roasting Co. We LOVE this little hidden gem…from friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful setting, and EXCELLENT food, we cannot recommend it highly enough!”

“The atmosphere was wonderfully quiet and serene... looking out onto the water while eating was beautiful! The ambience perfect. The food was fantastic. I enjoyed stone crab claws, luckily in season, while my friend had turtle soup followed by a shrimp dish that was delicious. We could not have been happier! This restaurant was superb and I would recommend it to everyone to dine here!”

“Was craving a snow ball on my way home from work and it just hit 7 o clock and all of the snow ball stands were closed that I could find except one. It was a few minutes out my way but i was craving a snowball after the extremely hot day. So since they were open until 8 i gave them a shot. An boy was i glad i did. I’ve had snowballs from what seams like hundreds of different snowball stands. Ive had some of the best snowballs you can find. Being i was raised and lived in New Orleans until i was 24 so ive tried every snowball stand around. So ive seen some reviews saying LouLa’s were good but thats a disservice. When i got my large Chocolate with condensed milk it looked very good but i took that first bite and WOW is what i literally said to myself. Easily one of the best snowballs Ive ever had. The chocolate was perfect and they weren’t greedy with the syrup like some places. The condense milk was nice and thick. The snowball was just perfect. It was just what i was looking for. I just wish it was closer to where i live so i could go all the time. The location itself was great also. They have more then snowballs and if you want it to go or you want to sit outside and enjoy your snowball they have plenty of chairs and tables for you to sit and enjoy your snowball or whatever you order. They have plenty parking space as well. Bottom line. SnowBall A+ Location A+ Service A+ Quality A+ Time Open/Business Hours A+ Overall A+++. If you like snowballs and are in the area or you just want a 5 star snowball then LouLa’s is the place for you! Go see them and get yourself a chocolate snowball w/ condensed milk! You won’t regret it!”

“The Anchor thoroughly impressed us. We were celebrating our daughters birthday and what a perfect choice she made. All of us were in agreeance that this was the best pizza in all of St. Tammany. My wife and I split a pizza with meatball, red onion, mushroom. I can't wait to return. The flavor was like a party in my mouth. In fact not just pizza, but the appetizer, focaccia with this most incredible green onion & garlic compote type sauce that you just couldn't get enough of. We also had the jalapeno poppers pizza, which was also delicious.The daiquiris were on point and get ya buzzing with the first one. The service was on point. The scenery is beautiful. Kids are able to play right outside the patio area. This is a win win for everyone, just a wonderful time waiting for you to arrive. We loved everything.”

“Today, we drove to Covington to try Turgeau's. What an absolute delight! They have a section of the menu that is called Gluten-Feee, Cross-Contact Safe. In addition to being a gluten-free celiac, I'm also dairy free. I was able to have biscuits, a lovely turkey and avocado sandwich, and a raspberry lemon oatmeal pie. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. If you are only gluten sensitive, not celiac, there are even more items available to you beyond the section pictured below. Go check this place out as soon as possible!”

“Went Halloween decor shopping today at Home Goods and had to stop in next door for a Crème Brûlée tea from UR teas. We walked up to the door and it was locked. The owner came and opened the door and said he was still there brewing so we could come in even though he just closed. He was super friendly and talked tea with us while making our drinks. If you’re ever out by this little gem you gotta stop in and give their Crème Brûlée tea a try. It’s my fav!”

“Really nice trio of young men working in there this evening. Took my picky daughter in and they made her a custom smoothie she enjoyed. They had a few people in line and they rotated us through quickly and efficiently each doing a task and got us in out and fast. They were all super courteous. I asked 2 of them their names, Dominic and Mikey...not sure what the other name was.. he was blending another smoothie as when we were leaving. Just wanted to give a shout out to them all as they were all great. Job well done Smoothie King! We'll be back.”
