“Hands down the best southern/comfort food around in a to-go style setup. Our favorite is the Crawfish Etouffee Potato, pistolettes, and the crawfish nachos!! You really can't go wrong with any item on the menu. Super friendly staff and the food is always hot and fresh.“

“This is the only place I go for crawfish season. They are set apart from the rest. These crawfish peel SO EASILY, even when they are cold. The meat is very tender. Because of this you are able to get the entire crawfish with fat out of every one. Spice is just right and all medium to large. You rarely find the old dark red ones here. Can't say enough! LOVE THEM!“

I tried many other places around and definitely there is not comparison. Homemade tortillas and sauces, everything fresh and very well presented. “This place has been around since I was a baby. I always get a good bag of crawfish when we pick up from Heinen's. Love the locally owned. Good size, great seasoning, and always a decent price. Sad this crawfish season is over but I'll be first in line in 2024.“

“Best crawfish Ive ever had. Ive heard of this place from coworkers, was passing thru and gave it a shot. Most places in Houston make it too spicy. This was perfect. Boudin balls were good. Potatoes were fat. The sauce was good. Great service, cool atmosphere. friendly staff. Food was fast. Its 2 hours from my house, im sure i will comeback in the near future. There crawfish is worth it.“

“Had s&s for the first time, spicy is SPICY. & it is advertised as 4.99/lb, but for the spicy & extra spicy (ricky) it is an upcharge.Overall, their crawfish is pretty big. Their line might be long, but I still was in & out the drive thru in 8 mins!! Very FAST service. I love that for meee! Their sauce was very good & packed w flavor also!&i love that they put the plastic bag INSIDE the paper bag unlike every other crawfish spot lol.(I didn’t get any good pictures because I had already started eating.?)“

“I had the 4 piece fish. It came to the table molten lavas hot, fresh and tasty. The batter was crispy and the fish was cooked perfectly. Sides were delicious, I think their coleslaw is among the best in town. The red beams and rice were as good as anything I've gotten in New Orleans! The only suggestion is to offer a 2 piece option, because I couldn't finish it.“

“I am actually an employee here and my coworkers are phenomenal and incredibly attentive. Funny and respectful. The overall energy of the entire restaurant is just relaxing and classy. The kitchen pays attention to detail and makes gorgeous and delicious food. In case any customers were wondering if the employees are treated well behind the scenes.....WE ARE. I find our boss to be the most down to earth boss I've ever had. The type of boss to get in the kitchen and help his employees if they need it. He jokes with us, works with us, and helps us to be our best at all times. Which is never an issue because he won't tell us to do anything he wouldn't do and hasn't already done himself. I've never worked in such a wonderful environment. And hope to work and eat here for a very long time.“

“They were only serving their brunch menu but we got the boudin balls, crab cakes & shrimp cocktail. I have high standards for sea food and it was all great. The boudin was the best we had on our trip. They had live music playing who was also super great & added to a good atmosphere. Highly recommend!“

Only issue we had was that he was also our server and had more interest in her customers at the bar than us, so we felt neglected, refills were scarce and we had to get up and wave her over... “i tried Golden Hooks for the first time today and it was a good decision. i ordered the wing (3) & shrimp (8) plate (comes w/ fries & drink) for $12 & i feel it was worth it. fries were good, shrimp were good but their wings are a good size and taste soooo good. my friend tried them and we immediately went back in to place her an order. she got the 6pc wing & fries (no drink) for $11 and she totally enjoyed it. so if you’re gonna try anything, i definitely recommend the wings!!!! i also want to add that the service was good as well.“

“So, I am particular when it comes to eating crawfish. My family and I have eaten many different crawfish recipes. Also, we have tried many methods and boiling techniques. I love boiled CRAWFISH! The 2022 new owners of Crawfish 2 Go have the best crawfish ever. I have eaten here a couple times this season and I am impressed. Each time we preorder 40 pounds of crawfish. My 70-year mother-in-law loves how the claw meat falls right out. Now that is perfection (time and temperature). I also like how they bag the crawfish with a paper bag, then plastic bag, and topped with staples. I always bring an ice chest to keep them warm for the ride home. Since this is my new favorite spot, I bought a shirt!“

“Fabulous food, helpful and courteous staff, and the location is amazing! Makes you feel like you are in New Orleans, instead of Lake Charles. Loved it so much, i had to call up my daughter and tell her to hurry over and help eat some of this food. Lol! Edit: I tried it again, i think around a year later, and the food was even better! “I've been eating at Jim's since I was a kid, and the food is always awesome! The quality of their food has never changed. It's fresh, delicious, and made to order so it's always hot when served to you. Their prices and their service are great too! The popcorn shrimp dinner is my favorite, but everything on the menu is awesome! I highly recommend Jim's if you want some amazing fried seafood!Kid-friendliness: I took my 12 year old nephew to eat at Jim's and he loved it! I've been eating at Jim's since I was a kid so it's definitely a kid friendly place. I don't know any kids who don't love popcorn shrimp and fries.“
