“We were in town for a baseball tournament and our children wanted some rice and noodles. We stopped in here because of the reviews and they did not disappoint. The fried rice was delicious! We also enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken and egg drop soup. What made the experience so pleasant was the staff. The owner came over and talked with us for a bit. He was very friendly and personable. Our server was also very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place!“

“It's so awesome going to a restaurant that's been in Baton Rouge a long time. This is one of them. I used to eat here all the time before moved to ATL and I just recently moved back. They are still delicious!
I decided to try the orange beef. Mild. It was soooooo good!
Will definitely order again. The portion size was very reasonable! Very impressed. I used to love this place a long time ago and so happy they are still a great place in BR.“

“I have been going to King Wok for a long time now, a fantastic Chinese restaurant in Baton Rouge run by Ann and her family. Supporting local businesses is important to me, and King Wok is definitely one of the best spots in town for your Chinese food cravings. The crab Rangoon was a standout dish for me, perfectly crispy with a deliciously savory cream cheese filling. The sweet dipping sauce complemented it perfectly, and I found it also paired well with their egg rolls. For the main course, I tried the general Tso chicken, which was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly fried and coated in a sweet and spicy sauce, served with broccoli. The fried rice was also excellent, a flavorful mix of egg, pork, carrots, and peas. One of my favorite items was the wonton egg drop soup, a comforting bowl filled with huge wontons and crispy fried wonton chips. It's a must-try.I also enjoyed the black bean chicken, cooked in a savory sauce with onion, carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms, and baby corn. Their lo mein was a great side dish, too.Their lunch special is such an amazing deal, and I was impressed by how fast they were with preparing the food. I always call ahead to place my order over the phone. I highly recommend King Wok for delicious Chinese food and excellent service.“

“As usual food is great...but all menus listed online is about 60% of the real price you have to pay. The owners have taken advertised inflation a tad far. There are other Chinese take-out places nearby who has pretty good food but has not gone wild with their prices.I believe I will find other places until China Kitchen re-examines their pricing. One dish I get there often has gone from $5.99 per serving to $9.95 and the primary ingredient has actually been going down in pricing over the last 7 months. This is sad for a place that was known for good Chinese at fair pricing.By the way, I came there at about 5:30pm on a Saturday which is usually packed. I saw no one there and since my order was not quite ready yet, I heard no calls indicating ordering ....maybe their pricing needs to be re-examined.I will try again there in 6 months. Which means that the owners will be losing about35 orders from me at about, current pricing, $26 per order, or a little over $900.I usually only review good/great food experiences, which until lately China Kitchen has been. I only hope in 6 months they are still open so I can resume eating where I really like to. I am really sorry to have to do this kind of review.“

“First time visitor. I was at Sam's and wanted Chinese food. I looked up egg rolls and found Chinatown. I ordered the PuPu platter for a veriety to sample and a small pork fried rice. The serving sizes are well worth the price - I have food for another day. The food is delicious. So glad I ordered a variety platter so I could sample it all. Super good food.“

“Plentiful portions but the two items I got were somewhat bland. The pork wontons I highly do not recommend. Wontons were fried in questionably poor oil and filling wasn’t too much nor tasty.
The bourbon chicken and rice was a lot.
Will try again to see other entrees. Again, you could easily eat their entree and rice throughout the day and still be full, but flavor was lacking in that too.“

“We order out from Wontons almost once a week, 3 times a month, easy. Food is great or good. This is husband and wife run business and they are the nicest people. This is a not a one time review, this is a 10 year review, since they’ve been open. That should let you know whether I think they’re good or not. There are a lot of Chinese restaurants I don’t like, but this is not one of them. My famly love Wontons. They have great service, hard-working people as well as polite, great and good dishes, every restaurant has some recipes that are better than others, this is no exception. If you’ve had a bad experience, I’m not gonna doubt or dispute it. I’m just gonna say to you I’ve not had a bad experience there in 10 years and we keep going back. If you are a good customer, the wife will even make your banana pudding and give it to you for free.I love the hot and sour soup and hibachi chicken, my wife loves sesame chicken, my son loves the shrimp and lobster sauce but every meal I’ve had there has been at less good, it’s not fair to give them one shot, and then rate it as bad, the restaurant is better than that and the couple work hard to please the patrons.“

“Six stars. Order the cashew chicken with extra cashews and steamed rice. You’ll never go to another discount Chinese restaurant. The beef and vegetables is supreme as well along with the shrimp and lobster sauce. You can’t go wrong with any of those and they give you a free “

“I'm in here at least 3 times a month. I like the food and they're always fast and I've never ever gotten a wrong or messed up or forgotten order from them. Only thing is, their card says they're 7 days a week but inside it says they close on Tuesdays. And when you call on Tuesday, you get no recording that says they are closed.“

“First things first I am from NYC. They have some of the best of the best especially when it comes to Chinese food, so I was looking for a spot for a very long time now down here in Baton Rouge and let me tell you I DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE since I've got a plate of food from here. This is my go to spot fo Chinese and it is so so so good, everything I've tried so far I knew would be good before I even got it. that's how confident I am in trying anything they have on the menu. Boneless spare ribs, Shrimp lo main, and General too chicken are my favorite meals fo far from here you should definitely try it out for yourself, you will not be disappointed. Best part you can call in your order over the phone and it will be ready in 10-15 mins depending on what you get so its very fast and no wait times. Dont get me wrong iv head Tokyo grill also and they don't have this sort of menu option like they do here so that's why I love this place so much more, options are endless!“

“Had to beg for service after being seated for 20 minutes. My drink dumped on me with no real effort to cleanup, no comment or apology from anyone. It's a real shame I have enjoyed PF Chang's since 2005 and now I'll never return after having to spend more than eighty dollars on lousy service and a miserable birthday lunch. Goodbye PF Chang's!“

“It was amazing as much as most people think it's a really run down place it's actually, really good food. The service is great. The only complaint is the environment because it not fancy or at least like McDonald's but if you like food that tastes great. While not looking like a nice place the food is a 10 out of 10 for me.“

“My original review said that they make the best egg foo young in town, but this past weekend's order revealed that everything about the food has changed, and for the worse. The egg foo young is terrible, and the rice it's served on tastes like grease-soaked boxed rice. My entire family is bitterly disappointed at the lower-quality food, and it's hard to say when we'll try it again.“
