The Hibachi Chefs are always fun and entertaining and adds to our fun family Christmas dinner. The waiters, waitresses and bartenders are the best. Their attention never stops. We appreciate all the employees every time we go. They make our celebration so much fun.Parking: Easy access in and out of the parking lot.Kid-friendliness: They always take great care of our kids and grandkids wants and needs.?“

“What an exceptional Japanese restaurant about 45 steps from the front door of the Marriott. I decided to sit at the bar and Chris and Jada were awesome people to enjoy the evening with. I tried the Agedashi Tofu and Bao Porkbelly Bun appetizers. Both were very good. The star of the meal was the Bluefin Tuna Flight. Excellent, high-quality nigiri finished at Michelin-star precision. The 3 different levels of fat in the three tuna was such a unique experience. I also tried the butterfish at the bartender's recommendation. It's pricy, but well worth it. Hostess and all staff were friendly and polite. Great atmosphere with sports on 3 TV's over the bar.“

“A new favorite for flavorful casual dining! Menu selections are not complicated, but well prepared and fresh Asian-fusion. Customer can control the heat as the fiery peppers come on the side. Light and flavored well! Relaxed, happy atmosphere with informed, patient servers. Parking can be stimulating, as pulling on and off Tchoupitoulas Street resembles aircraft carrier landings. Young, vibrant crowd, off the beaten tourist path but along an emerging strip of trendy and fresh restaurants and shops. I highly recommend Tuvi! My new favorite!“

“We went here for a quick bite before heading to Frenchmen Street for live music. It's a few blocks away from the hubbub of Frenchmen Street, so much quieter and less crowded. Service is quick and friendly. We were seated right away. The waiter took our orders in no time and our food arrived shortly thereafter. Perfect for us since we had a show to catch. We ordered salad, sushi rolls, and sashimi. The sashimi was super fresh. The sushi rolls were filling - they didn't skimp on the fish. The ginger dressing on the salad was refreshing. Highly recommend if you're looking for a sit down restaurant option on a quieter street near Frenchmen!“

“This has become my wife and I's new 'go to' sushi restaurant. Our favorite menu item is the 'Love boat', which comes with a nice selection of rolls and sashimi.Vegetarian options: This is primarily a sushi/hibachi restaurant, however there are meat/dairy free rolls, tempura vegetables, seaweed salad, and other random meat/dairy free menu items.Parking: Large mainly empty parking lot, shared with a few other restaurants and small businesses.“

“Small, clean restaurant with outdoor seating looking over Carrollton. I had lumpia, which was my first experience with this dish. It was delicious, with beef and veggies, lightly fried. I also had the chirashi sushi. I look forward to having some more of the Indonesian dishes when I return. The highlight was the chef and hostess/waitress; both were super friendly, accommodating, and provided great service. Locals and college students should show a little love to this affordable, tasty, and convenient restaurant!“

“I've been here multiple times. The service is always great. Everyone is kind and helpful. The food and freshness of the fishes are top notch. For a small restaurant, they tend to get pretty busy since the food is always good. I would always expect to wait a bit . At the end, they also give out complimentary Japanese chocolate that is declined and indescribable.“

“Best sushi in the city. Now mind you, I grew up in San Francisco and have lived in Los Angeles for over 25 years. I KNOW good Pacific quality sushi. This town blows for sushi. Gulf seafood is amazing! Pacific seafood is laughable. If you, like me, know and lust after something better... this is your answer. Ordered online through their website, tip, payment. Done. Walked in like a boss, said my name and walked out. Perfect pickup experience. I had places to be. They respect that. First time eating here so I danced around on the menu. My lady is diabetic, so rice free rolls are our litmus test. Can't hide behind that rice shield, dawg. They have two rice free rolls. Now I'm a gentleman so I take less than half the rolls we split, just so I can woo her with, "Please! This one is all yours!" I look like a boss. That's a pro tip, guys. She always does that delicate flower move of, "I'm so stuffed! Take the rest!" You know how it goes. Not this time amigo! I had two of six and she's going after that fourth like it's Mardi Gras. The other was a rice paper thing with a cucumber hat and a touch of spice... had it's own special subtly sweet citrus dipping sauce. Insane! Talk about balance. Speaking of... tempura appetizer. Yeah, you already know what it looks and tastes like just by saying those words, right? Nope! A slice of lemon in the dipping sauce. Mind. F'ing. Blown. Seriously, why are you still reading this and not going there right now to eat their food!? I work ten minutes away. I'm seriously making this place a regular weekly lunch thing. If they aren't yelling my name, like Norm in Cheers, as I walk in for lunch, I'm taking that as a personal failure on my part. If you see me there shoveling rolls into my fat face, give me a fist bump and a knowing nod. You're welcome.“

“I just had my food delivered by Uber Eats,,, I can't say anything bad about the food ...it was tasty. However I will dine in the next time, I didn't get anything to eat my food with and I ordered soup along with other items, so no spoon or fork..no napkins...etc. even so my food was good!“

“Love the creativity and variety with the sushi options. Started with the aguachile, ordered the Muay Thai, and ended with the chefs selection. “Yo Nashi provided a top 3 food experience for my girlfriend and I. The omakase style of menu (chefs choice) allowed us to branch out and enjoy a wide array of food we wouldn't have ordinarily tried. Each of the 7 courses were perfectly crafted and cooked. I will never forget my night here. The whole staff was friendly and attentive and ensured the entire meal and experience was flawless. I cannot recommend Yo Nashi enough and will do so to anyone who can listen.“

“This place is outside the French Quarter. Right across from the Doubletree Hotel. It seems out of the way, but go there. We had great tempura, sushi and appetizers. We had the spicy edamame, soft shell crab, Couching Tiger roll and shrimp/vegetable tempura. All of it top notch.“

“This is my second time here in 3 days. The food is beyond exceptional. I love sushi and went to 4 different restaurants in 5 days. There was something to satisfy every sushi craving. The presentation was exquisite, with each piece of fish expertly sliced and arranged. As I took my first bite, the freshness and melt-in-your-mouth texture of the fish was undeniable. “Unagi & Sushi is an overall good Japanese restaurant. We had the Hibachi Steak Lunch which was descent and reasonably priced. I can't help but compare it to the Hibachi Filet Lunch that I had at another restaurant. That's not really a fair comparison, but the Hibachi Filet Lunch special here was $20. That's just a bit too much to spend on an everyday lunch. So one star deducted just for the lunch prices. Overall, a good experience, though and I'll likely go back.“

“My favorite sushi in the city. Everything is always fresh and flavorful. I also get the Metairie roll and mango roll and they’re delicious every time. The drive thru window sets this place above everyone else. Makes getting takeout sushi so easy.“

“I must say their fried rice is pretty good I also had the rock and roll sushi and it was pretty fresh We actually ate it two nights in a row. The rice does look bland when you first get it but add some soy sauce and it taste like you're at hibachi. They are a bit pricey but I guess it's because of all the fancy packaging and napkins. All together this meal was $18.18“

“This place is a serious bang for your buck! I ordered take out and was given my food in what felt like less than 5 minutes. I ordered the bento #3 (bbq eel roll, 3 sushi pieces, noodle salad, and miso soup), and everything was very fresh and flavorful. Not to mention I got a gorgeous pile of pickled ginger and wasabi. You seriously cannot beat the quality for the price! I'll definitely continue to stop here when I'm in this part of town.“

“It's not the fanciest place in town but gosh was this a great place to get food, I had fried tofu and the Spicy Ichimi Ramen and everything from the texture to the broth was killer. Nice lady working the counter took take out, to go, and dine in patrons and was very attentive. “Doesn't look like much but it is incredible! The spicy tuna was by far my favorite and is one of the best spicy rolls that I've ever had! It was a full piece of tuna that was seasoned rather than a purée mush. The shaggy dog and California roll were really good as well! I'm not sure if I would actually eat there but my to-go order was fresh and relatively fast for a sushi place. 10/10 recommend!“

“Mmmmm. Been visiting Lil Tokyo causeway for as long as I can remember. Still the best clear soup I can find to this day. Love the roll selection. They offer hibachi rice dishes and a selection of Japanese style dishes that are wonderful to choose from each visit.“

“Service is slooooooowwwwwwwe, even if the place is empty. The sushi is fresh, but the man making it was just shaping it with his bare hands then wiping his face which kind of grossed us all out. If you ask for a napkins they'll only bring you one. We asked twice. We got two. We drive in for sushi here about once a year; it hasn't been updated in the 20 years we've gone. The interior is really dilapidated. Sushi is always nice though. If you want a nice atmosphere then go somewhere else. If you just want pretty good sushi then give this a try,“

“My go to place for sushi, Udon anything, chicken oyakodon, salmon box are some of my favorite. Reasonably priced. Always fresh. Look for their specials. Never had one bad tasting item in the many years I've eaten there. Owner and staff greet you like long time friends. Unlimited hot green tea. Highly recommended.“
