“The plantation is beautiful and expansive. The tour of the “big house” was informative and the guide could give detailed answers to any questions we had.
They, however, state as no longer selling tickets after 4:30pm and closing at 4:45pm. At 4:15pm they were already closing up the exhibits and rushing us out. It was a shame given the tickets are quite expensive.
It’s worth a visit, but expensive and be sure to go with plenty of time.“

“For what could easily have just been a normal cafe tacked onto the plantation, we were really impressed by our lunch at this restaurant. Service was really friendly and quick (Hannah was lovely) and the food was so tasty. My wife had a blackened chicken sandwich with a side cup of chicken gumbo, and I tried the Cajun medley (red beans and rice with sausage, crawfish etoufee and chicken gumbo) which were all delicious, but particularly that gumbo. Definitely make time to stop for lunch here if you’re visiting the plantation.“
