“Made an order online as we were staying at a nearby hotel. Waited 30-45min longer than the expected time it would be ready to pickup with only two other parties sitting inside. Got back to our room and noticed we were missing items. I called and mentioned this to them and she replied that I could come back and get it. I asked if they could deliver it or give me a refund to which she said neither of those were an option. She did say I could come back the following day and get it but we were leaving the following morning. Great food but verifying your order is accurate before leaving.“
“I've been here several times over the last 4 years. I've never had a bad experience. Great food and service. I've sampled quite a bit from the menu - including desserts. El Sombrero is my favorite stop in Monroe. Added bonus: if you sit near the kitchen you can hear the staff singing and having fun.“
“Wow I tried almost all of the street tacos pork, carne asada, barbacoa, shrimp and fish and they were amazing. Loved the spicy salsa to put on the tacos as well very flavorful. The large cheese dip was huge also, bigger than El Paso. Chips were warm and the salsa was great also. The menu is huge so I can’t wait to try more! I didn’t like the fajita chicken but maybe that’s just me. A little piece of Mazatlan in West Monroe!! Our waitress Bonnie was also very attentive and nice.“
“Excellent jalapeno margarita. Service wasn't good. They weren't busy. Took a long while before they took our drink order and longer still for them to take our food order. They got mine wrong ? The margaritas were okay and were very expensive.“
“We had the guacamole salad, chicken fajita salad, beef super burrito, and tacos!!! Everything was very tasty! The only critique would be service at the counter, they weren't to helpful. We told them it was our first time. I asked a customer what he would recommend and he was VERY helpful!!!“
“The food was good and the service wasn't so great. It started out really slow. The server took a while to come take our order, and then she ordered one dish wrong and even gave her the number on the menu. But whatever she brought out was good. I don't know if she was new... maybe.. but by the end, everything was okay ?“
“Went in for a little "girl" time to catch up with friends. We were able to get a table against the wall on a high top. It was perfect until a large table came. The tables are so close together that a medium size purse hanging on the back of my chair was only several inches from one of the newcomers faces once she was seated. This made everyone cramped and conversation distracting. With that said, the queso and chips here are my favorite. The drinks were good but did take a little too long to recieve from the bar. The waitress was attentive, quick, and made several good suggestions. Next time we will plan to stay a little longer and eat dinner. We will return.“
