“Would give them six stars if I could. Jim’s is one of my favorite establishments around. They have it all—great food, enormous portions, and the best people. The prices are average for this area but are a good deal for the amount of food they give you. Places like Jim’s that are no-frills and untrendy (not a bad thing) are getting rarer and rarer these days. They don’t need fancy gimmicks or artsy decorations because the food speaks for itself.“

“My opinion is 9.6/10. Came here because of man vs food did the 2 lbs burger. This place till this day has the juiciest burger meat I ever had was literally dripping down my arm, but not only juicy flavorful and highly enjoyable. “5/5 Love the Boston Pocket rebrand to Callisto's. Both sandwiches I got (Roman Gold and Calabria) were generous portions, quality ingredients, and overall so delicious and unique. I feel so lucky that this place exists in the South End, definitely the best sandwiches in the area and I'll be back for sure!“

“If you don’t try this place, you are missing out. We came in with a larger group and the staff worked through our orders fast… The food was amazing, get a sub- you won’t be disappointed. The bread is amazing. I had the steak and cheese and it was delicious. Going back today for a specialty sub!“

“The food was actually good. The portion was so much that I was very happy with it. Not much line during a lunch rush and service was quick.
The only thing I wanna point out is their pricing since its bumped up than the photos or pricing online.
But definitely worth the convenience to go to when I dont have lunch.“

“Wow! I ordered a few things from The Real Deal in JP Yesterday. EVERYTHING I ordered was Absolutely Delicious! The Patty Melt was one of the best things I have ever tasted! The ”Godfather” I took for lunch today at work. Delicious! The combo of flavors was just perfect. They certainly know how to cook at this place! Wow! The Real Deal will be my new go-to place for take out!“

“I’ve been coming to this deli for 13 years and I order the same thing regularly. It’s not even a menu item, so I’ve always been charged based on what goes into it, and the price has been consistent every time I’ve ordered it.
Today, I was charged significantly more than usual. I still paid it because I assumed prices may have gone up. The issue started when I simply mentioned that the price was different than what I normally pay.
The employee immediately became loud, rude, and confrontational. He claimed he was giving me a discount today, even though I never asked for one and was willing to pay the price. I was only pointing out that the amount was different than what I had always been charged before.
What should have been a simple conversation turned into an unnecessary scene. After being a customer for 13 years, I found the way I was spoken to completely disrespectful and unprofessional.
What bothered me most was feeling singled out and humiliated in front of other customers over a simple comment about the price. Whether that was his intention or not, that’s how the interaction made me feel. After 13 years of supporting this business, this experience has convinced me not to return.“

“Went on a Sunday lunch. Got the traditional 1/4lb of pastrami, was quite good. Don't think pastrami can get much better. If you want NYC delicassen flavor, ask to reduce whatever salty sauce they put in. Overall worth it given downtown Boston (13$), plus you don't have to tip.
Gave 4 star because it's just pastrami, but again as good as pastrami can get.“

“This place is a true hole in the wall AS IT SHOULD BE. We dream about returning to Hanoi daily, and when the nostalgia is hitting particularly hard, this is the only real spot you could possibly get a true Banh Mi, vibes and all, to take you back.“
