The meat looks like actual philly meat, not the mystery stuff. The strawberry lemonade is just awesome. The fries are bomb too. Prices are on the high side but its soooooo worth it. “After being unable to give a phone order for takeout at a snooty vegan place nearby that, snootily, doesn’t accept them, we were welcomed at Billy’s, even though they were surely busy when we called.When we arrived, we asked if they might have a bathroom we could use even though there was absolutely no apparent public restroom. Thing is, my friend is mostly blind and likes to drink coffee, meaning I always need to look for a place for her to go. Several employees went out of their way to accommodate us in their very tiny prep and kitchen spaces as we moved through to use their private restroom in the back. ?It was so very kind and thoughtful and if I could give them 10 stars I would! ?Simple consideration, like answering the phone to take an order and letting someone use the restroom even if it inconveniences their operations for a moment, demonstrates LOVE is still alive in the world and it can be found at Billys! OMG, and then there was the food!!! The omelettes were amazing, the home fries were delicious and when we wished we had gotten ketchup with our takeout, there it was in the bag, along with the extra napkins for my friend. And don’t get me started on the blueberry pancakes… Amazing!!!?The value was unbeatable and even as we were walking out the door, the love continued as I was carefully handed two coffees in a carrier and our paper bag of food as they could see I was leading my friend. Shortly after he co-worker Gail Gracefully interjected and added MORE positive Vibes to the current bonding moment whilst awaiting my sub to be lovingly put together. “Figaro's is the type of family run local business that makes a neighborhood a community. They really are a pillar of the Leather District (a tiny and overlooked section of downtown that is low-key the one of the best neighborhoods in the city). The sandwiches and salads are fantastic and huge. I haven't found a better meatball sub anywhere in Boston, and the "Whitey" is the best buffalo chicken wrap I've had. My favorite though is their homemade focaccia rolls, which they make every now and then as a special. If you see them on the special board, get it with whatever they are serving on it! They also do great steak and cheeses and italian subs, of many different varieties. Make sure you check this place out!“

The chicken was lightly peppered/seasoned and moist. The slaw and honey mustard sauce added a complementary sweetness. There was also Cabot sharp cheddar cheese, but I couldn’t really taste it.I don't think the amazingness of this sandwich amounts to the hype of being a once-a-month special, and $13.99 is a bit expensive. The spicy deep fried pickles were super addictive, the endive winter salad was so flavorful with a very nose-tingly horseradish dressing, cauliflower cream pan fried gnocchi was divine, and especially enjoyed the duck pot pie with root veggies. “I hadn't gotten subs at this place for several years but stopped the other day after an appointment because we were hungry as hell. Was pleasantly surprised that it was still as good as it always was. The steak and cheese was delicious. They have always use the best soft rolls as I remember and that's a pleasant addition to any of their subs. The people are friendly and the minute you hit the parking lot you know by the luscious smell that you are in for a yummy and filling meal.
