“Had a bit of time before dinner and, wait! +Ice Cream+ sign, I was lured in. Who say ya’ can’t have ice cream in January, and before dinner?

This was a great surprise and it’s a darn good thing that I don’t live close by. Really, creamy texture and just the right chewiness. Not like bubblegum chewy; am I making sense, here? Generous portions and reasonable prices.

“My sister-in-law just sent me and my wife a door dash order to cheer us up, with cold brew and two pains au chocolat. I took one bite and… wow. Buttery but light and flaky, cooked just right - understated perfection in a bag! I grew up in France, and this is honestly one of the best French pastries I have had in 28 years living in the US. Even in France it's not every day you find one this good! We’ll be going there for more, can’t wait to try what else they have to offer!“

“I had just missed my flight back home and after 5 hours at the airport things began to look rather grim. I then decided to take a walk and by complete luck happened to use this location as a pickup spot for my Uber. What started as me wanting a small snack then turned into a newfound appreciation for Somali cuisine and an eating experience I will have yet to forget. Tawakal Halal gave me the best food and service in about 14 minutes than other establishments have managed to give me in an hour, so great in fact, that I wouldn’t have forgiven myself if I didn’t go a second time before I left. The food by itself is beyond amazing and I could write a whole review entirely on how great the food is, however, my personal favorites were the Goat Biryani and the Halwa as an excellent dessert option after. In addition to the food, the service here was amazing as well. The staff were always making sure I had everything I needed and doing everything they could to make my experience there a pleasant one, even offering me tea as I waited for my Uber. All in all, the best way I could describe this café to anyone wanting to know more about it is that it is truly everything you could ever ask for in a dining experience: fantastic food and amazing service. It even no longer made me upset that I missed my flight that day for if I hadn’t, I would have never been able to find this gem of a café. Thank you, Tawakal Halal, so much for giving me an experience I will never forget and know that when I return to Boston, you can bet the first stop on my itinerary will be your café. Online ordering was time efficient for everyone and child friendly in a location that is generally very child unfriendly.“

“This restaurant was recommended to us. Hand rolled noodles isn’t something you can get in rural Maine. The noodles we delicious. The waitstaff was attentive. The restaurant was clean and lively. They customized a dish for my daughter (no spice) and her dish was just as flavorful considering they omitted items. We tried an assortment of appetizers and main entrees and my only recommendations would be to get a side of rice for a $1 so you can soak up all the delicious sauce and flavors. Even the tea was good. Bathroom was clean. Food was fresh. And try the thousand layers honey cake. I think everyone will find something to like here. If I am ever in Providence, I will 💯 go again.“

“Came in to pick up lunch for the first time. The staff are really sweet and took care of my order as soon as I walked in. Maria and Julio were the ones who took care of me and their service was so great!! She even let me try the lemonade. The pineapple lemonade is soooo good. As for the food, I got the Peruvian chicken market plate and it’s very 50/50 unfortunately. The rice and chicken was great, and the green ají sauce?? AMAZING. The sweet potatoes and guacamole were regular, no notes. But the corn?? FROZEN. And the pickled onions? Rancid! Tastes awful. I was disappointed about the veggies because it was the reason I got the dish but honestly, everything else was great and I would give them another try. Especially for that green ají sauce omg!“

“1369 is a smaller coffee shop and cafe located within Inman Square, with other locations spread throughout the Boston/Cambridge Area.

The service was fast, friendly, and the service was busy but quick, as we got our order quite quickly.

The breads were good, pretty standard and tasty bread. The matcha however left a lot to be desired. We got an oat milk matcha latte with maple syrup added in, and unfortunately this combo didn't seem to work. It was very sweet and watered down quickly with no matcha taste. We've heard good things about the other drinks, so we'd have to try the others first, but this time wasn't appealing.“

“It's a small shop compared to the big grocery stores but has a nice selection of staples and treats. I had a chocolate rugelach there that just about melted my brain. The coffee is very good. The ambiance and the friendliness of the staff contribute to how much I like this store. The prices are average for the area for high quality goods. There's no seating.“

“It's a nice location which attracts alot of people. It's convenient to the MBTA. It can get crowded and the line can be long at peak times. But it moves fairly fast. It has a bright and modern atmosphere. The staff was friendly. The food was good. There is outdoor seating available which is great in good weather and for dogs. There are some nice walking trails nearby if you want to walk after eating. The rest rooms are clean and modern. The prices are on par with other cafes. Overall it is a pleasant place to meet and a great location.“

“Wonderful time for a party of 12, and as a bonus the kids could run around a bit outside. Food and drinks were really good. Service was friendly and competent. However it took quite a bit longer for our orders to come than one might expect in a mostly empty restaurant. Drinks took a long time as well. I suspect they were not running with a full staff. Really this restaurant's food is quite good and the ambience is quite nice. The prices may just be a bit too high to bring people in.“
