“They have a wide variety of good flavors. They also have something called “Ice Cream Flight” where you can order a scoop of five different ice cream flavors. I loved it! I ordered banana flavor, brownie batter, coconut cheesecake brownie, extreme chocolate and mocha chip, and they were all very good!“

Since I’d never been I asked for a recommendation and Tom (owner) suggested their flagship IPA. It was better than expected and better than most beers I’ve had at some of the local breweries. “I walked in today and ordered a simple coconut cake for my husband’s birthday. The cake was ready in a couple of hours. Service was amazing, the lady who took the order was super nice and attentive; she also helped me a lot in selecting a cake. “I found 978 Cafe a couple weeks ago and have already been back three times! The owner and his wife are SO nice and genuinely care about their customers. When regulars come in, they were greeted by name and asked if they were ordering their usual. Places like this have always stood out to me.Food is AMAZING! I highly recommend the Boston Burger and the Sweet Chili Meatball Sandwich, they are so good!I usually get an iced caramel coffee or a hot dulce de leche coffee and both are delicious!After coming here multiple times, I can definitely say that the consistency and quality of food / drinks will keep me coming back. “I finally got to try the ice cream at West Side Creamery today. I had a two-scoop hot fudge sundae (coffee Oreo and a cherry ice cream with some chocolate in it) with whipped cream but no cherry or other topping, eating it there. It was delicious. I got free cold water to go with it. The woman working there, probably the owner, was very friendly, as were other customers. Seating indoors was limited but certainly adequate. I recommend the shop highly.“

“I literally stumbled across this shop while visiting another food establishment nearby. I can't resist a place that offers cheese, so ai went in. I was delighted to find out that tasting samples is encouraged here! I bought many things, including a ham and gruyere sandwich, a cheese plate full of incredible cheeses, pate, terrine, and a few other things. I found the prices to be very reasonable and I was extremely appreciative of the lesson in French cuisine. I live a bit of a distance, but I know that I will likely make a few trips back here throughout the year, because this shop is one of a kind.“

As soon as their new indoor space opens I'm sure to be there trying out all the new things they have on tap. “Went in to dine for the first time yesterday specifically to try the Bun Rieu (a seasonal special for just this weekend using fresh crabs from Gloucester!). It was absolutely incredible. You could taste the love and care put into the many hours it took to prepare each component of the dish. The crab roe cake and broth in particular were spectacular. I felt like I was eating Michelin star soup and it was worth every penny for the price of ingredients and labor. I have a lot of respect for the head chef and kitchen staff for the extraordinary amount of work, thought, and love they expend bringing authentic, fresh, and exciting Vietnamese cuisine to eastern Massachusetts. We ate our soup with fried dough and a mango smoothie with boba. What’s not to love? We will be following the Instagram page to stay up to date on the special seasonal soups they make every week or two. Thanks Viet Citron!“

“I was really looking forward to trying Vietnamese coffee from a café for the first time and my expectations were met and exceeded! I even got to try a version of cold foam that was completely new to me which added a wonderful sweetness to the strong flavor of the Robusta beans. The staff were friendly, kind, and patient with me as a new customer. I'm sad this location will be closing soon for renovations but look forward to trying their 2nd location a few minutes away in the meantime.“

“Raw seafood prices are a bit high but the cooked items are delicious and priced well. Grilled salmon sandwich - 5/5 very good. Came with a thick piece of salmon filet. Ask for lettuce, tomato and onion when ordering. Fisherman's platter - 4/5 everything on the platter tasted juicy and fresh. I especially liked the whole belly clams and shrimp. The fries were alright and tasted frozen. Onions rings - 4.5/5. I don't think these are made jn house but they were perfectly fried and tasted great. Service - 5/5 the owner was friendly and efficient. Looking forward to coming back again.“

“This place is the definition of a HIDDEN GEM. My boyfriend and I wanted to grab a quick bite after the gym and we came across El Bunker on Google. When we walked in we were greeted by Camilla who is the sweetest! She was making Pão de Quiejo and they were AMAZING. (even better than fogo de chao in my opinion)We both got the Cuban sandwich which was so yummy. The bread was toasted and the garlic sauce really made the sandwich. I also got the guava shake and it was delicious and my boyfriend got a coffee with condensed milk which he loved.This place deserves more recognition for the quality of food and service they provide. Definitely will be visiting more!“
